Fiddlers Green Iron Chef: Church of Mod, what do you think? I personally would prefer to cook a large dinner for everyone. I think that would give me much more of an oppurtunity to use my skills in the kitchen, as some dishes can take 8-12 hours to properly cook. Given the proximity of the sea, I would think that a seafood theme would be aproprite, unless people don't really like seafood. I mean, I'd need to be more familiar with the are and the local flora and fauna and such to propose a more complete menu, but... That's not to say that the IC isn't a bad idea, as we could easily do both. I would just perfer to have the luxury of being able to spend a full day cooking.

Styskel some dishes can take 8-12 hours to properly cook. eek ::looks at her microwaved ramen:: I feel... somehow unworthy to even eat anything so fancy.

Lasreaine Styskel some dishes can take 8-12 hours to properly cook. eek ::looks at her microwaved ramen:: I feel... somehow unworthy to even eat anything so fancy. Well, I meant in cook time only, not including prep work. The specific dish that I'm talking about there is a beef roast that I slow cooked in beef broth. Included for flavoring was a carrot, a potato, some leek, rosemary, oregano, (fresh) parsely, and some (fresh) sage. It, along with the vegetable I prepared it with (which I believe was a cauliflour/broccoli mix) took a total of about 16 hours from start to finish for everything. But like I said, 12 of those hours were unwatched slow cooking overnight.

*sighs softly* I hope I can come to this... I'm already aware of how my parents feel about online people. ._.; It would be nice to be able to touch ya'll. So many times I just wanted to reach in and give a hug. >w<;

Allright How does Thursday 27 July til Tuesday 1 August sound? I'm getting to the point where I need solid dates... they won't quote me a solid price without a solid date. sweatdrop I need to have reservations in at least a year in advance for Summer. I'm currently running off an assumption of between 25 and 30 people.

Looking at my school's rather sparce calander, I can only assume it begins again in September. Those dates probably work for me.
