Turning to his friends, he introduced them. "Guys, this is Felix." he started as he motioned his hand to the older boy. "Felix, these are my friends: Kaya, Brayden and Chloe." he told his newest friend as he pointed them out one by one.

Vhan took a quick moment to run to the restroom and when he returned, he was wearing an outfit he'd stolen from a department store in Kanto. "So then, when do we set sail?" he asked curiously, his voice slightly muffled by the scarf over his mouth. He seemed to have an affinity for fabric to cover his face in some way.

"Not to worry, my young friend. We'll help you out if you're coming with us, and you'll be on your way to the big leagues in no time flat." he told the slightly younger male with a devious grin. "You might want to stick close to Vhan when we get there. That big hammer he carries around might be good for beating things off if they get to be too big to handle alone." he offered, quite aware of the double meaning of that statement. He couldn't help but wonder if either of the younger boys would catch it.
"We should be setting sail soon enough though." he added after a moment, but hearing Gigi sidetracked his train of thought. "I daresay he can't be that much of a chicken if he's facing what he's afraid of to come with us. And in all honesty, Hydrophobia isn't that uncommon." he told the Meowth. "It's actually quite common where I'm from, which is a tad ironic considering my kingdom is on an island.

Felix did his best to keep his gaze locked upon anything but the water, and when Vhan came back on deck, he made a welcome target for his gaze to rest upon.
He glanced over at Kaya, once, when the older man was speaking. "I can take care of myself." he grumbled, not very loudly. An excuse to stay close to Vhan was welcome.
Gigi's grin widened, and her eyes went crafty. 'He does what he's told.' she said cagily, and then walked over to rub against Felix's leg, snickering when he stepped away. 'I'll keep rubbing until you back into the water.' she said wickedly, and then rubbed up against his stiff as a board leg. It amused her that he had impeccable balance on the shifting boat.

She understood a bit from where Felix was coming from, though. Back with the run-in with Kaya's older brother, she had a bit of a fear of any large body of water as well when she had sported Persian ears and tail. It definitely wasn't fun...

Brayden nodded, "Its definitely nice to meet you, Felix," he smiled, offering a nod to the trainer, "Don't worry, I know it can be a bit daunting, but hopefully the ocean will grow on ya," he smiled kindly. For one, he was glad to be back on the water. It had been a while since he had been near the ocean. Back in Dewford, actually. Since then he'd only been landlocked, which he didn't mind.
'Better to be near the water when it doesn't hurt, huh?' Ariadne remarked, referring to back in Lilycove. Brayden repressed a shiver. That was definitely not an experience he wished to re-live.
"But yeah, I'm Brayden. Hoping to be a water trainer someday, but in the meantime, I have to put up with a moody Umbreon, a trigger-happy Ninetails, and a smart alec Gardevoir," he laughed lightly.

Felix tilted his head to one side, contemplatively. He wouldn't mind being all over Vhan's face, but he didn't think it would be a prudent thing to do, since he had only known the other boy, what, all of thirty minutes, an hour at most?
"Yeah, sure," h said in resonse to Chloe's comment, but then snorted at Braydon's. "Not bloody likely... I grew up surrounded by sand and sun and heat." the last part was said longingly. It was colder here than it was in Orre, as evidenced by the fact that he was wearing many more articles of clothing here than he would have in his hometown.
Gigi left off torturing Felix when she realized that he was ignoring her, and besides, she had spotted something shiny hidden behind a coil of rope. She peaked behind the pile and spotted two more of those little round disks, only these ones were pale blue while the other had been orange and red. She grabbed them and deposited them into Felix's bag, which he had dropped on the deck not all that long ago. She didn't give a thought to the fact that they might belong to someone else; Finder's Keepers!
Gigi's ears perked up as she heard the teltale sound of something rolling, and she was off like a shot, pouncing on the yellow and black balls that were rolling around with the rocking of the ship.

Vhan face changed from a look of embarrassment to longing at the mention of sun and sand. "I know. I miss Orre." he said softly as he looked to the East, knowing that the desert region lay somewhere far away in the direction.
A Pokeball popped open on his belt and Requiem appeared, looking around for a few moments before she noticed something sparkling beneath the waves. She quickly went after it, vanishing into the water for a moment. When she emerged, she held a pair of pale blue disks in her...eh...hands?, which she quickly deposited into Vhan's bag.

Tsuki, half asleep though she was, couldn't help but notice a greenish, heart shaped scaled sparkling on the deck in front of her. The shifting colors reminded her of a move she'd seen back when she was an Eevee. All of a sudden, she knew how to make it work.

Felix's look was one of longing as well. "The only reason I'm not freezing right now is because my clothes are made out of mareep wool." he said, pulling on the fabric of one glove, and then releasing it with a snap. At least talking was keeping his mind off of the fathoms of water that was shortly going to be below him...
Gigi had decided to pack the nice pretty balls inside of Felix's pack, so they wouldn't roll off into the water, when she noticed another shiny thing in his pack, that wasn't one of those weird disks. Her eyes lit up and she rooted around in the bag until she hooked whatever it was with one claw. She pulled out a small heart shaped scale, and the purple colors in it reminded her of a move she seen just after she's been hatched, and she knew how it worked. That poison pokemon had been so cool...
{{I've been reading past pages in this thread, and you said that Kaya had a tatoo from when he was in team Snag'em, right? Is it possible that Felix might recognize Kaya, or vice versa? =3}}
