She had a name?! Cool - though that thought was secondary to the widening of his eyes as she rushed in. Rush of 'yes' for that, the cadence of her step, her willingness to do it. Perfect ******** white moon, the way she came in at him, how he felt like he was some insect who'd offended her sensibilities.
She coulda called him whatever - she'd be huntress to him - deadly thing. Pastels and petals, adorned with antlers meant to gore.
"C'mon, ya gotta admit the outfit is straight ******** fire Cyb's~" took her ire as a compliment, alight and alive for the threat promised in her chilled words; stepped around her punch at speed - arms up to block and counter with one of his own. Willing to trade blows, still heavy handed, but a little less stupid, a little better able to dance with her the way he'd wanted to before.
"All my chances, cause I made my choice, but I'll always have time for you - s'long as we're both still breathing." after, when one of them wasn't, and he didn't want her starseed, a cowards ploy, something meant for people who were actual enemies. No, he only wanted to have it out with with her into the sunset painted annals of time. To see her end, or his own; a conquest of the truest form.
Blood in the grass, and the auras had vanished with the bodies they'd belonged to. He thought he heard a little squeal from the soft chibi with the annoying petal dance.
Though his focus was on Monoceros, if only barely, Prehnite heard the Senshis words, but didn't immediately heed them. Did little more than stand and summon his weapon back to hand, clenched his fists around the hilts hard enough to ache as he snarled for the cadence of them; red bled into the vision of green as he turned his gaze from his reluctant opponent. Who'd once been so gung ho to intervene - to take up a stance - had a heart maybe.
Soft one, could cut it out later for having been a distraction from Hatsya, from their goal.
Would put a point for quills alongside one for a transcendent with a mace. Make a list. Offer them all up, and then himself after for having failed her so quickly, in moments, blinked and she was gone - with Benitotite if his absence was anything to go by. Though as to where?
"Maybe think to get the ******** *child* gone, instead of begging me off like I'm completely unaware? That you people allow 'chibi's anywhere at all!" hissed poison bile of words, before snapping out of existence entirely.
He'd call Beni from a safer place, from anywhere else. Would track them down and - and pray she'd survived at all - that the blood was....
No more dead little girls, was that too much to ask for? To much to want?

Dark Mirror Eternal Acubens -- Raptor Sprinted to C3
At Ariadne’s unspoken question, Acubens shook her head, her brows furrowed in confusion. In truth, Acubens had never seen Scylla so relaxed. So calm. So… almost happy.
“I know you do,” Acubens answered, her arm still outstretched. “And I know why. I get it.” And some day, she hoped Scylla could come around to at least not caring about their court. “We’re not upset, But I need you to put the senshi you have down, okay?” Scylla wasn’t hurting her now, but when whatever magic was working on her wore off, she didn’t want her to lash out.
Acubens was nearly upon the pair when a shrill voice called out for her mommy. Acubens also whipped her head up and around to find the source of the call, which proved to be a mistake. She looked back at the pair of senshi only to catch the last trails of Scylla’s fuku as she sprinted away.
s**t.
Acubens tore off after them, shouting of her shoulder something to Rana and Logos about regrouping at The Farmer’s Daughter like they always did.
“Scylla,” she screamed, her voice tearing itself out of her throat as fear rose in her chest. She was taking one of her own deeper into the fray. And not just one of her own, but one who looked very green. How long had this senshi been awakened? Acubens didn’t have time to ask herself those questions, nor did she have the presence of mind to even begin to try and answer them.
“Scylla, drop her!” Acubens could feel her throat tearing itself apart as she shrieked both in fear and in an attempt to be heard above the din of battle. When Scylla finally stopped, Acubens reached out immediately for the Dark Mirror, still in Scylla’s clutches. She had only just gotten her hands on her when Scylla spoke.
My daughters…
Acubens froze mid motion, again whipping her head around to see who Scylla was talking about. Daughters? She looked at the chibi senshi in question and supposed, somewhere in the back of her mind, that the blonde child in the grey and white did share some facial features with Scylla. She logged that information away for later and grabbed Ariadne as she was dropped.
“We need to get out of here,” she whispered into the other woman’s ear, trying to shield her from what seemed to be the thickest part of battle with her body. “Get on my back, I’ll run us out of here.”
She needed a straight shot. If she timed it right, she could make it. With her super attack, she could swerve a little, maybe it would be enough.
And then her eyes caught Faustite and she froze again, panci rising in her chest.
“We need to get out of here,” she repeated herself, audibly upset.
“Tegmine,” she screamed, hoping against hope that her brother was close enough to hear her. “Get over here and get the kids to safety!”
Dark Mirror Tegmine -- Boss called him to C3
The dark mirror that Tegmine had come to assist seemed to have things under control. She was a better fighter than him… so was everyone else. He cursed under his breath as people fought around him, but never engaged him. He felt useless. A feeling that he wasn’t used to nor did he particularly like.
And then, against all logic and reason, he heard the sound of his sister’s voice above the sound of fighting. She was so far away, how was that possible? A break in battle revealed that, somehow, she’d entered the fray. She was bending over another senshi, looking visibly shaken. It was an instant, and he couldn’t really make out what she was saying as he screamed, but he dashed towards her all the same.
He arrived, followed her frantic pointing, and the blood froze in his veins.
“What the <********> are kids doing here,” he almost screeched. Acubens shot him a look that shut him up, but he’d definitely be asking questions later. Now he had to follow his sister’s orders and get the aforementioned kids out and away from battle.
“Come on guys,” he called, holding his hands out for the two literal children in the middle of a magical fire fight. “We gotta get somewhere safer, okay?”
Faustite sucked air through his teeth. It was difficult to give a good answer for that one, but there was one reason that followed him unendingly: "Have a duty to report on other officers." Eyes and ears for Specs and all that. Had to make some noise for Axinite once in a while to spice up his desk job.
One screaming brat left and fetched another, this one then flipping them off and rousing tentacles form the ground. Small blanch for this; they reminded him of Schörl — this was something she'd enjoy. Riding those monstrous things like bucking broncos, or getting them to tie each other up, or smash the senshi from which they came. It made him almost wish for her in this ugly, useless brawl that Ashanite cooked up for a Squire, but he could never quite bring himself to be that desperate. Had no love for the thock of her cane on approach.
"Kill or hostage," Faustite agreed as he stared up at the towering, wriggling things. This one was already raging, already identifying her bargaining chip. Her children.
Faustite broke from Jet to pursue, but was slapped bodily by a tentacle. Resounding thwang from his hollow grate, sung through bone and teeth as he stumbled off-center. Winced at the feel of it, for how it left even his gums itching. "******** your calamari bullshit," he seethed.
Get to the Squire, get to the kids, he reminded himself. As was taught in the Rift, Faustite dissolved his body into living fire, with formless gouts of it braiding along the ground, making sweeping arcs of various sizes to avoid the crushing power of these enormous tentacles. Felt the heat of it then, the excitement — the base thrill for bringing something to an end. A child's life, a Squire's career. Didn't matter what. Dipped and swerved and whorled toward the Squire, the transcended Knight, the Captain, Acubens, the Lieutenant, the chibi -- whatever ******** assortment of individuals he'd have to burn through to finish this damned mess. Better if Jet was close behind.
Quote:
Hellborn ;; Range: Self Duration: Up to 1 minute Use Count: Up to 3x Miss Chance: Escaping his reach Effect: Faustite's fire expands and engulfs him, transforming him into a living embodiment of flame. For the duration of this magical ability, he appears fully youmafied. When he moves, he moves amorphously as a gout of fire. Faustite can pass through or over nonsolid surfaces, and cannot be hit by physical attacks. He becomes highly susceptible to magical attacks and enchantments, however. Any attacks he makes toward others will be fire property, and will provide the illusion of being burned.

Anser found herself frustrated that her punch didn't quite land as well as she liked, and quite immediately geared up to make another hit -- her usual method, get in quick and overwhelm -- but she found that she didn't need to, Empyrean and Paradise taking advantage of the reflexes to get around the leopard-printed senshi and trip him.
She smirked. He was overwhelmed.
Sometimes there were advantages to teaming up.
Wait. Was he --
"Seriously?" Anser rolled her eyes, only half-listening to whatever the senshi of the Negaverse was going on about. "You're monologuing?"
What a pain in the a**.
She did gather a few names from what he was saying -- Ashanite--the general the knight had called for back up for, she guessed--Jet, Axinite, but the amount she cared about each one dwindled the more he spoke. Maybe she'd try to transfer those names to her brother and Viatrix later. They probably cared more than she did.
She kicked at him, because she was the type to kick someone of Evil when they were down.
"If you're that unhappy about it, just leave then! This could all be over!"

Athalia - Senshi of Hercules Beetles (Square: F5)
Were they serious? To their credit he would have done exactly the same in their circumstances, if he outnumbered someone else then all was fair in love and war and when it came to chaotic individuals it was rarely a good idea to turn your back to them an assume they would walk away. Fortunately on this occasion his shield had held against Tegmine's blow, admittedly it had been a solid one and had that shield not been up it would have done enough to knock him off course. However he knew better than to assume that a barrage from both Tegmine and Nakhett wouldn't be enough to take the initial shield down.
Blessed was Deneb though who had chosen to once again fire at the agile Dark Mirror in an attempt to knock her off course again. Whether or not the bubbles hit, even the declaration of another spell being called forward bought him enough time to twist ever so slightly to raise his other arm in preparation to meet the blow that was likely to come his way from Nakhett.
It seemed that in the ensuing chaos Tegmine had managed to slip away.
"How many of those have you got?" he called out toward Deneb, not quite able to look at her properly but at just enough of an angle to cast a cursory glance her way. "Because if you've got anything else in there I'll hold this down," he grinned, a slight impishness on his features.
"And you can shoot," he offered.
Not that he was confident he could take on catch the DMS with any moderate success, but he'd certainly give it a go and try his best to give Deneb the openings if she had it in her to fling anymore spells!
In the meantime however, he threw out at least one more spell towards Sparta. If there was one thing he could do with absolute confidence it was at least shield that one while he took on Sylvite (for now anyway).

Shanyume
Noctua watched Benitoite slip back into the crowd. He didn’t beckon her to follow, so she didn’t. She felt a little lonely amidst the battle without her General, but moreover she was immensely proud of herself that he trusted her enough to leave. She grinned to herself and was about to deposit the little starseed into subspace for later when something struck her.
s**t.
It took a moment to register what had happened. One moment everything was normal. The next Noctua’s hand was contorting and she was unable to control it. Like the time when she was a teenager and she pulled a plug out by the cord and it electrocuted her a little. The sensation felt like a wickedly fast burn that left her nerves numb and exhausted.
From her fingers, the tiny jewel fell, glittering through space. She lunged to catch it, frantically trying to regain her prize, but it landed neatly on the chest of the senshi and vanished. His eyes blinked open, and after a moment of registering where he was, he screamed and scrambled away. Noctua shot out a bony claw to try and catch him, but he was too fast and the battle around him swallowed him before Noctua even got close.
And then she turned on the senshi who had done this. Slowly, sensation returned to her hand, biut she didn’t care. She needed a prize from this fight. Something to label and put in her shadow box to remember everything by. And if this senshi was going to take what she had already won, then she’d just have to give Noctua her own seed.
She closed the distance as quickly as her spidery legs would take her, reaching out to grab the face of her opponent.
“Noctua Sleepless Nights,” she hissed.
Noctua Sleepless Nights Noctua closes her eyes and calls the name of her attack. Upon opening them, she will lock eyes with one person for five seconds and they will be subject to the attack. For the next ten seconds the victim will feel like they haven't slept at all for the past few nights. They will be subject to the more physical symptoms of insomnia, like tension headaches, nausea, and dizziness. Noctua can perform this attack twice or once with enough energy left Noctua Feverish Nights
Note: Noctua no longer needs both eyes functioning on either end to make the attack work, however, if eye contact is broken within five seconds on either end, the attack fails. If the environment is too dark to see anyone's eyes, the attack also fails.

Lt. Cristobalite (Square: D1)
"That would be in breach of orders given that we were specifically instructed to be here," Cris replied in what could only be described as a mild drawl. With the exception of her own General and Chambersite she wasn't really familiar with those at the highest echelons. She could at least acknowledge his aura was different and he did seem to seep with power, but beyond that...? Well, it wasn't as if she had bitten off more than she could chew before.
Considering that she had a General in her midst and a corrupt senshi to ally with, it seemed a little too ridiculous to be running away now. More importantly it seemed like he hadn't come alone; was this the cat that Chambersite had been referring to? Granted she hadn't yet worked out if Basiluzzo had also ignored Encke's advice but she would have happily introduced herself to that little one too.
A coin flip in thought and she flicked her gaze towards Viatrix.
No sooner had she paid heed to the feline than Chambersite had already taken the opportunity to strike at Encke and well, when in Rome... With a practised swing she thrust her coin towards the Eternal's head, taking care to add that little bit of spin she had been working on. Sure it might not do much but if she managed to smack him somewhere useful then it could be rather annoying.
"Pick your poison I guess," she smiled at Psilomelane. "Animal control or Senshi busting," she shrugged. Regardless of what was picked, they'd probably make short work of the fur ball and could assist with the Eternal in earnest.

General Jet - C3 Attacking Scylla and maybe Ariadne
Jet scowled when the obnoxiously shrieking senshi turned to him and Faustite to flip them off, as if that did anything. He thought there was something familiar about her. Something he recalled from years ago, back when he was years younger, and several inches shorter. Nothing much about her had changed, except now she glowed like Ganymede, but any doubt he had in his mind changed to clarity at the call of her attack.
“Dumb b***h…” he growled, weapon already in hand and sweeping the blade low to the ground before any of her damn tentacles could crawl up his leg and bite at him, like they had years ago.
But something had been different back then. She’d used other magic on him before her attack last time.
He didn’t have time to warn Faustite about it since there was already so much going on at once. General Ashanite was calling youma from the Rift, to which Jet grit his teeth and wished he’d have time to pull his communicator out of his pocket to warn Cymophane and all the other Negaverse Senshi that might be around, and General Faustite was turning himself into a ball of fire. Which was well enough. Especially since he was going after the children it seemed.
Jostled by the tentacles, Jet did his best to jump around them, having hopefully cut a few of them to pieces before they were any threat. He followed after Faustite for a moment --
And then teleported behind Scylla to swing his bladed weapon at her back. And if his backswing happened to strike the Dark Mirror Senshi (Ariadne) whom she left after being at her side, well… Scylla should have known better than to put her daughters in danger.
Quote:
Weapon Magic: The blades temporarily "petrify" eight inches around the area the blade cuts. Lasts up to fifteen seconds. The petrified area becomes hard and heavy, but within the fifteen seconds, it can't be cut again. The victim will also not bleed or feel pain from the wound while the petrification lasts.
Bloodstone’s eyes narrowed as another wall appeared between himself and the joker Senshi, the sharp end of his pick reverberating off the ice, staggering him backwards. That was fine, because he swung his pick again in the direction of the Senshi, directly at the ice wall, his feet digging into the ground to hold himself from getting knocked back as easily.
And he swung his pick again.
And again.
Because the Squire’s magic could only last so long, and once they ran out. Well. They better be ready to run.

Super Sailor Cybele: G1, Engaged to with Albite
His comment got another small flick of the eyebrow as she raised a fist to block his incoming punch. That was all. No smile came through.
The thing was, a small part of her liked him. She liked his curiosity, liked the way he seemed to seek out the thrill and adrenaline of battle the same way that she did. He was fire. The clothes were not, not in their current state.
It was a shame, like she said. It was a shame she'd never get to see him the way he was meant to be. There were a few that Cybele thought she might be able to reason with, but not him. This one was proud of his twisted choice, grinning at his own wickedness.
There was only one answer for that.
He wouldn't die tonight, though. Cybele's movements were just a bit more careful than they'd been before, just a bit less aggressive. Some of her focus was still on the group behind her, who really didn't need to see any corpses.
"Black's not your color," she said, and punched out again.

Chibi Super Charybdis, Senshi of Seals
Her scream had not had an immediate effect apart from princess Caer looking vaguely hopeful, but Charybdis knew that good things came to those who waited. Though she certainly wouldn't be waiting long enough to die. Rather than say anything, Charybdis simply gave the other woman a s**t-eating grin.
The grin was WASTED, of course, when a glowing Knight (Whisler) came and decided to assault their small, already-endangered group; another page (Basiluzzo) seemed much more likely to try and help them.
"Ara!" Charybdis cried to her friend, "Hurry, and get up!"
Scylla had approached, and tentacles were flying, and there was a strange-looking Chaos senshi that Jada had dropped being tended to by another one, and a third senshi in black was trying to get them someplace safer, but- but Ara was here, and Jada, and Caer was still in danger, and there were youma coming, and Charybdis needed to stand and fight, didn't she? Wasn't that what a senshi was supposed to do?
She reached out, gripping at the chaos senshi (Tegmine's) hand in blind fear. She wouldn't be able to warn her allies without warning her enemies, if she used her shiny pup, and her heart seized in her chest at the idea of possibly hurting people who were already in danger. "S- Seal Pup!" Charybdis cried out, terror making her voice waver. And nothing happened. No baby seal formed. No sweet little orking and borking, no glittery little pinniped dancing cheerfully around the feet of their nightmares.
This was a real battle. Someone could die here. That monster, and the Burning Man (Faustite), and the one swinging a weapon at her sister (Jet), and there was just- she was just- This was why Scylla always told her to patrol with a partner, Giulia realized suddenly. Yes, Charybdis had met Captains and Lieutenants and Corrupted senshi and monsters, and cats, and knights, and- but this was a fight. This was the truth of what Scylla had been trying to protect her from, and everyone else had known, hadn't they?
Because she was just a baby senshi with a magical power that couldn't help anyone, only make adorable little parlor tricks, and hurt her friends.
"Shiny Pup!" she screamed, and still, nothing happened. "Seal Pu- Shiny- Se- Caer Sidi, GET UP!" her voice was thick with fear, but she- she was going to do something. Right? She needed to do... anything... right? She didn't even realize she was starting to sob, like a baby.
Giulia was 11. She was supposed to be so adult.
Lucia and Jada were going to be so ashamed of her, weren't they?
Knight WhislerC-3 Whistler kept his anger up for a good few seconds, but it dwindled as he listened to her, and even if she was lying...she was good at it. And he was falling for it, no matter what was the truth.
“It...He ******** people up.” He said softly, voice a lot more gentle, tightening his grip on her so she didn’t fall, so she didn’t make herself a bigger target than she already was. “This is all...this is all on--what the ******** tentacle, a real life, god damn tentacle smacked him in the face like a saturated pool noodle.
For a long moment, Whistler couldn’t think, his head spinning and ears ringing, spots dancing in front of his eyes, and then he saw the fire, and oh, hell no.
This was getting far too dangerous for comfort. He half expected her to spring the same trap. For her to bow and claim that she had tricked them all just as Ashanite had, but, still. “Stay behind me, Squire. If you can grab one of the kids, or all of the kids, please do. I can keep the fireball a little ways away from us, if you can run, please run. I’m sorry for getting angry...he...is a manipulative b*****d and...I’ve fallen for it too many times. This was just…”
He began to swing his chain again, channeling his magic to keep all agents of chaos away from him, insofar as he could. “This was just too close to what he pulled. But if you say you’re not doing that, you have my trust.”

Lt. Leifite - C3, questioning her devotion to Ashanite
She missed. She <******** missed the squire. She was so close and then the b***h had to do that glowing thing again and not only did her skin burn, but she landed on the ground face first. Pain laced through her body and she grunted in pain. The child was screaming for her mother, Whisler - oh she'd kill him too - was... what? Protecting the kids, not protecting the kids? She couldn't tell. A very angry glowing senshi appeared with tentacles flying everywhere and given the fact she was on the ground she couldn't do anything as one grabbed her and hoisted her in the air.
She was going to kill Ashanite too. Was one squire worth this much pain, huh?
At least General Jet was actually doing something. Something roared behind her as she tried to get free of the tentacle holding her.
Wait. That was a roar.
Leifite turned her head enough to see the damn dragon Ashanite summoned from the rift, and Fausite go literally pyrotechnic one himself.
"WAVELLITE, WATCH OUT!" she screamed as two very angry youma started charging through.
The tentacles flung around, whipping through the area like extensions of Scylla's own limbs, and the senshi of the Kraken could feel the pain of youma tearing into them as she shifted her weight, trying to keep an eye on the more important enemies- a seething mass of living fire (Faustite), and a familiar animal with a bladed weapon (Jet).
There was a page here, at least, protecting the girls, and if Caer Sidi would stand the hell up, and that blonde (Whisler) would grow the hell up, they could still have a chance at this. Acubens was here too, and one of the other Dark Mirrors, and as Scylla moved and weaved to avoid the youma trying to protect the two Lieutenants (Wavellite and Leifite), she hissed at the fact that...
If Acubens kept her girls safe, Scylla might owe the DMC she had attacked more than an apology note.
Heat sizzled along her spine as Faustite burned his way past her Kraken's limbs, and she threw one at his flaming body in desperate hope that the toothy, magic-chomping teeth would be able to catch on- something. Anything. Another tentacle picked up a youma, the magical limb chucking it in halves towards Ashenite.
If the flame youma-thing couldn't be stopped and her chibis got hurt, Scylla would use Wavellite and Leifite as living meat clubs and hammer their General to death with their bodies, so help her G-d.
She almost missed Jet vanishing. It was a trick all Generals could employ, and it was bullshit, honestly; and Scylla took advantage of her height to try and hunker into a ball, not knowing- would he come from the side? The back? Was he going to teleport just in front and impale her? Her finger spun her wind ring, and the bladed weapon tore through her arm as the wind ring blew her to the side, the blade of Jet's swallow only missing a mortal blow through sheer luck.
Already her left arm was going numb from the cut, and if it wasn't petrified it would be bleeding; but Scylla didn't need to be able to move her arms to strike back, and sent two tentacles punching towards the dark-haired General, magic-hungry sucker-teeth gnashing.
She wouldn't be able to fight them both, but thankfully, she wasn't. Hyperborea would surely be coming any moment, and it seemed the blonde knight had gotten his s**t together and was preparing to deal with Firebrand.
In the background, another youma was getting torn in half and launched into the air like a particularly morbid juggling ball.
