Tinaksite9 + 8Tinaksite was confused by the strange earrings the other two were putting on, and for a moment she frowned, tilting her head. Was this some sort of…what did Laven call herself? A half youma? Was this some sort of half youma ritual? Or was this yet another aspect of the Negaverse that she just…didn’t understand?
Regardless of what it was, it made the captain feel strangely lonely, and horribly apart from the other two, and even when her friend took her hand, and Tina let her own curl around it, holding it tightly.
“You…you are safe.”
The words were quiet, but she began to lead Lavendulan towards the center area, working hard to keep her mind off of everything but the situation at hand.
There was no point and no time to worry about anything but getting out of here alive. “Come, Laven, Wolframite. We will get out. Soon.”

Super Sailor Nix Rolls: 3, 9 Total: 12"C'mon, stick with me," Nix said to Laena, "We'll be alright, just got to..." There was a rumbling, chunks of gradually-more-visible ground falling way. "Uh-oh! Uhm...looks like we'd better get over this way before we end up," He looked back and down, "Where ever that is!" Luckily, Nix was rather deft at moving quickly, so had very little trouble making his way to safer, if somewhat disorienting, places.

Chaos Cat ChipRolls: 8, 4 Total: 12As Chip listened, the ground started to fall out beneath him! I wish I had my flying saucer he thought as he barely managed to avoid falling into the abyss. He wasn't sure what would happen if he did fall down there, but assumed whatever did... wouldn't be good. He started on his way to get somewhere more stable, though it would take him a bit of effort to get there.

Sailor Adorea, Senshi of Optimism
(Roll History: 7+4 = 11) Had it not been for her companions it was highly likely that Adorea's story would have been very different. As it was, Ananke and Mia's combined efforts had made certain that Adorea wouldn't be falling into the maw of the abyss at this moment in time. Nevertheless she would have been lying if she had said she wasn't left a little disconcerted and shaken by the ordeal.
"Wooo, close one!" She smiled warmly at both women as she righted herself and gave herself a quick brush down. Mia had a point, they needed to move to a slightly safer area, or at least one that was safe for now, and to do that they were going to have to navigate their way across this spinning surface.
...It was almost as if that weirdass carousel in the town square had sucked them all in or something, that had been freaky as well, so much so that she'd refused to go near it!
"Yeah we'll have to find a more agreeable location next time, maybe with fluffy animals and some fresh air," she chuckled at Ananke. Last time there had been rabid plants, this time it appeared to be nefarious shadow monsters.
Alas, she took Mia's directions to heart and began to move in that general direction, peering out more closely into the distance as another light seemed to be drawing nearer. Was someone else there, or at least nearby, and more importantly were they alright?
"Hey! Everything ok out there!" she hollered.

Mycenae Page of Mercury: 5+ 5 = 10Mycenae gasped when he felt something bump into him. He was not proud of that, but this place had him on edge. Things were much improved when he glanced down to spot that it was an actual person--a fellow Page.
"You alrigh'?" He asked, stress making his Welsh accent thicker than it had been in a long time. Then, the ground underneath them began to move, and Mycenae swore under his breath, gently grabbing the other Page's arm. "Come on, let's move. The ground looks more stable over that way." He gestured towards the spinning platform, urging the other Page with him.

Caer Sidi: 6 + 6 = 12Caer was not proud of her reaction to being grabbed, which was to yelp in a deeply undignified manner. She did, in fact, jerk her wrist away, and spin, prepared to be confronted with another massive monster, like the one she could hear whuffing and stomping nearby, but she was desperately relieved to see a human person. She took a deep breath, and nodded, shortly.
"Keeping moving sounds...ideal. I'm alright, I just bumped into one of those monsters and it gave me a bit of a fright." To say the very least. "I'm Caer Sidi," she introduced herself, and she hoped, briefly, that this wasn't one of the Negaverse officers Hyperborea had warned her about, or that if he was, he was at least bright enough to understand that whatever nonsense existed outside, in here they would do best to cooperate.

Captain Amazonite: 8Amazonite did not like this place. She did not like anything that kept her trapped, and she did not like the creeping darkness, or the strange creatures, or any of it. She especially did not like that the floor was moving under her.
So far, the ground under her feet hadn't started cracking or anything ridiculous, but she could see the strange, spinning platform, and she jogged towards it, hauling herself up next to a Mercury Squire with a very pertinent question. He rang a familiar note in her head, but she couldn't quite place it--perhaps she'd known him in the great, missing Before.
"Well, where else would we go, really?" She shrugged. "I certainly don't know enough about anywhere else to get by."

The vision of Lysithea rapidly disappeared; the shifting ground meant that he had to focus more on not falling into one of the ever spreading chasms in the ground. He gave her one last helpless look before he tried to give this new task his full attention.
At least he wasn't alone, though, but it didn't register that he should be happy about being scooped up. At first, he thought one of the creatures that had been chasing him had gripped him and was going to throw him into one of the ever growing pits.
Her voice chased away those concerns.
She didn't have an energy signature but she had legs--and shoulders, and she was making greater strides than he was.
"Thank you," he piped up, forgetting that perhaps in this situation he might not want to startle her; he didn't want her to drop him. He was quick to notice her tears though, and an overwhelming concern filled the pit of his stomach instinctively. He didn't like to see people cry; it twisted at his gut and made him want to make things right.
Hard to do when you were trying not to die.
"Are you okay?" he asked, pressing his head against her in the way he always did when he wanted something--in that irresistible, sweet way that 'cats' could be. He'd take advantage of this form any time he could, he wasn't ashamed of it.

The shove seemed to have been Arnica's saving grace; Lacerta's effort had him stumble backwards, but he didn't have to deal with the crumbling ground.
He should have stayed put. He should have found safety for himself and left it at that--but he couldn't. He couldn't just abandon someone in need, especially after she had helped him. The darkness made it hard to find her, and the turbulent shifting of the ground made it difficult to safely assess where he could best be of use. Moments ticked by and felt like hours--and then, he saw her. It wasn't much, but she was pulling her way up. The shadows swarmed around her. He could see them by her, harassing her, even when he couldn't quite make out what they were.
He wasn't going to let her deal with them alone. Pushing any concern or fear to the pit of his stomach, he reached out for her hand and gripped it tightly. "Over here," he said, drawing her towards the solid platform. "--Are you all right?" he asked as he lead her there, trying to block her from any oncoming attacks--at least until she could get her bearings back.

Caia certainly didn't know what was going on but it wasn't going to stop him from trying his hardest. Staying together with someone--anyone--seemed like as good of a plan as any, so he tried to keep a smile on his face. Teaming up meant someone could look after him--and he could look after someone else.
He listened carefully--and he felt like he could pick up what the Senshi was saying. The echo, certainly, and it only made the carnival music sound so much more eerie.
Caia's position was not as solid as Miyamoto; before he could even answer, the ground splintered beneath him. He glanced down, for only a second, and it was too late. The flat surface he'd settled himself on shook and splintered as if under his own weight. Only, he didn't fall as he expected, he was yanked.
Something was trying to drag him down, but Caia's will to live was more frantic than their will to stop him.
He clawed his way, fighting to get back up. There was fear in his eyes, desperation, but he wasn't going to give up.
It wasn't an easy effort, and by the time he managed to make his way back to solid ground, he all but collapsed at Miyamoto's feet. "Oh, man--no, no directions, I need to sit down for a second." He was gasping for breath. "Are you okay?"

Mamertine was about to chastise Susquehanna for dispelling his weapon when they were clearly not safe, but there was something about the hug that was just so typically Shiloh. He couldn't scold him for being himself. Besides--it was nice to have him in his arms, even if only just for a moment.
The hug was short lived, but that was to be expected. He'd just hold him better tonight to make up for it.
When the ground rumbled beneath them, he was not as fortunate as Susquehanna. He was thrown off balance as the ground trembled. He managed to stay on his feet, but the shadow creature headbutting his back didn't help. He stumbled forward, following after Susquehanna. It was with his usual grace--as much as could be mustered, at least.
"I'll stay with you," he promised, nearly shoulder to shoulder with him. He had his eyes on his back, keen to make sure that he made it home unmarred. He wanted to tell him how proud he was of him, wanted to take his hand, wanted to kiss him.
Shiloh had come so far since Alexei first met him, and seeing him here--composed, managing...
His heart swelled. Not that he would admit it; his face was a mask. "You should probably keep your weapon on you." He eyed whatever had just headbutted him from behind, glad it had targeted him and not Susquehanna. "I don't want you to get hurt."
He had already raised his hammer a bit, prepared to strike anything that might have gotten too close to them.

The ground trembled beneath them; Ammersee had tried to keep his grip on the page, but he immediately released upon realizing how startled she was. He had hoped to hold her wrist at least, if only because he was keen to keep her safe and out of harm--and a part of him hoped that if the two of them stayed connected at some point, the shadow creatures might mistake them for one large entity rather than two smaller ones.
When the ground shook beneath them, he almost instinctively reached for her wrist again. Instead he had to clench his hand into a fist to avoid the urge, but he still held his hand out to her in case she wanted to.
"The ground isn't going to last for long." Every second he stood there it felt like ice cracking over a frozen pond. "I can't see much but it looks like it's a little more stable over there. You coming?"
