As she woke, Azodel blearily realized first that she had been sleeping on one of her wings and that definitely wasn't a good thing. After taking care of getting blood back in the sleepy limb and straightening ruffled feathers she started to wonder where she was and came to the conclusion that she had no idea how she came to be in that too-white room. Only nice thing in that place was the lovely javelin stuck in the window. Maybe she could grab it for herself...? Nah, she did have some manners after all.
From what she'd understood from the Dorothy thingy how she felt was probably normal, and the memory loss quite general in horsemen population.
As she was getting ready to leave a flutter of paper caught her attention. A survey. Well, she really had no pressing matters at the moment and could take a few minutes for it.
Dorothy's performance? Perfectly adequate. Would she recommend it to someone else? Sure. 1 to 10 evaluation? That took a moment of reflection. 8, because, if she'd forgotten something she wouldn't know it would she? Though Azodel did believe she had all the important facts of her life sorted out.
Putting the survey down, and her cellphone up, the war horsewoman left the room.
Once in the lobby she spotted a few Famine sages and stopped one. Only to be told that if she could remember her name she was fine and to leave. Charming as always...
Walking to the elevator with no idea where to go next Azodel checked her pockets and found a keycard along her phone. Good. At least she had a place to go back to if she couldn't find anything better to do. Pushing randomly on a button, the elevator doors closed. [EXIT]

You may respond to Part 1 just in this thread as well!
Things are transitioning smoothly. You become more familiar with your surroundings. You live here, and while you may not have always lived at the Dusk, you have always belonged here.
But what is here?:
You try to think of what it means to belong. It evokes images of several memories. Family, friends. The close and loved ones and even acquaintances you talk to. The leaders you serve, the equals you respect, the less experienced you teach. These memories remain strong.
Am I happy here?:
After centuries of self exploration, this question seems almost irrelevant. Do deserts ask why they begin, do mountains question their existence? You are an entity, and and happiness, even gained, is always ephemeral. The memories remain strong.
Do I remember what happened exactly the day before?:
The incident. If lucky, you have heard a few rumours. Most of them involve this red crystal .
No, there's something else, but what is it... :exclaim((OOC: WARNING SLIGHTLY FAST BLINKING GIF )) ))
You remember hearing someone mention it was green before.
It seems possible. Nothing is impossible, the only question would be what the colours would even signify. You don't know.
You remember hearing someone mention it was the source of Fear energy for the Dusk.
Common sense really. Even a horseman youngling could tell the red crystal emanated Fear.
You've touched the crystal before.
It was fun. Probably.
Thinking of the crystal, as you look outside, as you look up at the red crystal outside, you notice for the first time that something is a little off. It's the same feeling you had when you woke up after the incident, the feeling that you should know something else. And slowly, as you continue staring at the crystal you realize that the red has dulled. You realize that small hairline cracks, growing thicker and thicker, are growing at the base of the red crystal, turning everything it touched into a expression, colourless grey.
And with that, all the power in The Dusk goes out.
Panic.
You panic and run around, and hit a few walls in the darkness. Is this actually helping?
Wait.
Nothing happens.
Waitlonger.
After a long agonizing wait, the lights finally flicker on again, but they are dim and red. For some reason, just this mere presence of light makes you feel a little less on edge. You could barely imagine The Dusk without them.
As you look around, you see several horseman running back and forth busily outside. You see a few flitting off to portals or running back in again. They look like they're in a hurry.
Seconds later, a text message:
As you look around, you can see that the lights have not properly returned, instead, flooding all the hallways, every room, elevator, and common floor with an unusual red. It's just barely enough for those without night-capable vision to stumble around and hope for the best. Horsemen representatives, heirs of your clan eventually locate you and give you a run-down of what is going on. You are given a colourless grey crystal, in your choice of earring, necklace, or bracelet as it seems someone actually took the time to craft all three accessory types. It is explained to be able to carry a great amount of Fear. As they're explaining more in detail about how this works, and how much Fear is needed and so on so forth, it has become painfully clear that the red crystal is breaking.

Oh, look who turned up ready to annoy the s**t out of him. Darkjay turned towards the newcomer, his laughter having died down but his sneer never disappearing from his face.
"Hah! You'd like to see me choke wouldn't you?" There wasn't any malice behind his words, his tone more mocking then anything else. Yuki wasn't his friend; the word friend was something he rarely used, but he was someone who did put up with the war horsemen. Or he put up with the famine horsemen.
"Not gonna happen, though I'd like to see you try-" His voice rose, eager to start a argument but at that moment the room was plunged into darkness. Darkjay's eyes widened, stepping back in a lose crouch as his instincts put him on full guard. Were they being attacked? He listened for sounds of a scuffle, Wings flared and ready to take off.
He waited, senses straining as the darkness loomed around then. After some time the lights flickered back on, but they barely illuminated the room, casting everything in a deep red.
"The ******** is going on?" He growled angrily, looking around as if the answer was going to put up.

Part Two Something about the crystal had bothered Chao ever since she talked to the famine sage after she woke up. It had been green and now it was red. She turned to the windows to take another look at it. She was shocked to see instead of red part of it was a dull grey. Even worse there where fractures all over the crystal.
And then the lights went out. Instinct told her that something was wrong. She took a few deep breaths to calm herself, panicking wouldn't do anything it was best to sit and wait for the black out to end. Settling herself on the floor she continued to taking calming breaths as she waited for the lights to come back
After what felt like an eternity the horseman was relieved when the dull red lights flickered on. It wasn't as strong as usual but at least she could see. It looked like others were busy trying to fix the situation, she wondered if there was a way she could help.
Feeling a buzzing in her pocket, Chao, pulled out her cellphone and read the message that was sent to her. So the power outage was normal? Ah it was a miss type, so they would have to collect fear?
She stood up as one of the Conquest Heirs approached her, getting a quick rundown of what she had to do, the horseman smiled relived to have something to do. She took one of the crystals that had been turned into a necklace before heading out.

[ REHAB CENTER - PART 2 ]
The corners of Yuki's lips turned up in a smirk, his eye narrowing just so. It was a little endearing, actually, that the war horseman still tried to rile him up. It would prove just as ineffective this time as many other attempts before. While the gaunt man could indeed be pushed to anger, it took quite a bit of effort. No, he could keep that contained. It made it more fun to keep his outward demeanor calm and his voice level. "I'm sure I could fashion something to string you up with. Maybe clip those wings of yours while I'm at it." Yuki replied, lips parting with a grin that showed teeth; or at least more of them, considering the decaying laceration down the left side of his face.
The challenge that Jay began cut off abruptly, which might have been more of a surprise than the blackness that the room was plunged into. Oh, good, it was too bright in here anyway.
That was Yuki's first thought, before he realized just how wrong that was. Why had the power suddenly gone out?
He stood completely still, voicing no concerns of his own as those around him complained or began to panic outright. Without being able to see a damn thing, there was no use in trying to navigate his way around without knowing where he was going or who he was about to bump into.
At first, the famine horseman hoped that it was just a fluke. The power would come back on in a few seconds, much like flickering electricity during storms in the Human World. It didn't. He waited. Waited.
He had looked toward the window to realize that there was something very different about the red crystal outside. More different than the comments overheard about the change in color from the day before that no one could seem to remember. Or, if someone did remember they weren't explaining what that meant... There was definitely something wrong now. He could feel it. What was this feeling?
Lights flickered to life again, if one could really call it that. Yuki could still barely see, his eye adjusting just enough in the dim light to make out shapes and vague details of the people around him.
"Something is wrong," he said, be it to himself or in response to Darkjay's demand of an answer. It was needless of him to say it, really, because the sudden bustle of activity outside was answer enough.
Phone chirping in his pocket, Yuki shuffled through a few thick layers until he could retrieve it. Squinting against the brightness of the screen, he read the messages swiftly as they came. The final message had him waiting for another, but after several seconds of nothing more he spoke again. "Something is very wrong."
Yuki waited around long enough to meet with a representative of his own clan, absorbing the briefing he was given and taking a grey crystal to hang around his neck. There were already several baubles already strung or chained around his neck; it practically looked like it belonged there.
"We've got work to do, Jay." Yuki said to the familiar horseman nearby. "Threatening games aside for now."
That was apparently as good of a farewell as he was destined to give, before taking his leave to scale far too many stairs.

Aeseir was stalling.
"I know I broke your beautiful sword," she said, pacing as she practiced her speech in the cold street air. "And I fully intend to pay you back. But—" There was a large crack behind her, as if from the sky itself. "—No buts it is! …However—" The world went dark.
Aeseir fell to her knees, hands clasped. "All right. All right! I'll pay anything!" Before she could throw in her firstborn as well, she heard screams from behind, and she finally turned to see the crystal was shattering. With a curse, she ran back to the Dusk to meet with her heir; from there, she went straight to War's common floor.

Yuki's talent for stating the obvious was in full swing, but Darkjay hardly cared at that point. He was more focused on the scuttling figures of horsemen running too and fro, each of them hailing from different clans. While there was no signs of a attack ( there would be more war horsemen running if there was) he still felt on edge. He hadn't stopped feeling this way ever since he woke up, yet he didn't know why. Just that something didn't feel right, and that feeling was growing.
Something buzzed against his hip. Ah, that would be his phone, slipped against the small cloth that was there. Fishing the item out he read through the messages. So they needed to collect FEAR, a simple enough task. He was still puzzling over the last message sent when a fellow clansmen approached him, giving him a better idea of what was going on. He face looked grim. s**t was going down, and a brief glance out the window told him the large crystal was breaking up. Out of the three choices of crystals given, he took the necklace. It wouldn't get in the way and would be harder to rip off by a opponent.
"Indeed we do, Yuki" As selfish as he was, Darkjay was a horseman. He would do what needed to be done. So while the other had to tackle the stairs, his wings spread wide to take him high.
If they weren't in serious trouble, he would have laughed at how many stairs Yuki needed to climb.

[ Famine Rooms - Part 2 ]
Exhaustion was sinking it’s way slowly through Thias’s weary bones as he finally stepped through the door to his own bedroom. The last job of working as a guard member seemed to have been the worse, not only was he covered in dust from the mistake of allowing one of the bombs to destroy a wall but there was blood somewhere staining the black pants from the pitchfork mob he had to handle. At least it seemed to be out of sight, unfortunately it didn’t mean it was out of mind as he sauntered his way across the room only to stretch himself out over the makeshift bed of cushions and silks. All of the gold jewelry and thin layers of fabric draped neatly over the only free space, he didn’t have the heart to continuously removed them on and off but it didn’t stop him from longingly staring it. After a few moments of peace, he shifted getting to his feet again and headed to one of the window to look out over Dusk.
The red crystal caught his eye, as Thias stared at it he couldn’t help the nagging feeling that something about it was off. That everything, even as comfortable and content was off, and that there truly was a problem to why he couldn’t remember yesterday, and why he couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something entirely missing. Biting his lower lip, a habit he hated but did, he continued to concentrate on the crystal. Somewhere he had heard it was once green, that the color had shifted, or change, but what the reason for it Thias was not sure. The longer he kept his eyes on it the more he felt that it the hue had faded, that maybe it wasn’t as bright as it had been weeks ago, that maybe it wasn’t as bright as when he could recall first seeing it.
And were those cracks growing?
Before Thias could observe closer the lights flickered out pitching him into pure darkness as he remained, giving a soft exhale of a sigh as if the problem was nothing more but an inconvenience. A few more beats of waiting and a few curse words being muttered under his breath the lights flickered back on with a soft glow of red. Leaning towards the window again Thias watched as horsemen scurried around, portals and back again as if they were a swarm of ants in chaos.
A few minutes of watching and his phone buzzed, he had almost forgotten about the object as he picked it up and scrolled through the messages. It didn’t take long for Thias to find himself in the hallway and down the stairs in search of someone a little more in charge beside a tiny image on a digital screen. Others stumbled through the hallways, as if trying to still find their way in the pale red light as eventually the heirs took control of the situation making it painfully aware that the crystal was breaking.
Taking the grey earrings Thias headed to find Rook again, a look of concern pressed on his face.

[Rehab - Lobby - Part 2 ]
Harper didn’t linger too long in the mezzanine before heading to the elevator, she wanted to find Mial and at least attempted to piece together what had happened the previous day. There wasn’t any signs on her of being hit too hard, or maybe sustaining some sort of injury that would have caused her to forget nor had it seemed that she had just slept too long. The questions mounted more than they had in the rehab center and as the elevator dinged and the doors opened she started in a brisk walk towards Mial’s usually haunting grounds. Harper hadn’t gotten too far before something, much like it had in the room, gave her an uneasy feeling. It was more than just the missing memories, it was as if something entirely wrong had or was about to happen.
Pausing in her tracks, Harper glanced outside to the red crystal, it didn’t ease the doubt. Instead it almost amplified it as she took a few cautionary steps towards it as if to get a better look. Someone, standing in a group whispering mentioned something about the color being wrong, that it had once been green, but Harper let a snort lingered under her breath. Something was not right, as the emerald green eyes blinked a few more times before it had dawned on her that the color was fading, as darken cracks crawled along its surface, spreading in size.
The lights flickered before sending the whole place into darkness as Harper remained frozen to her spot. Moving would only cause panic and panic would mean casualties rather it be running into someone or something and at the moment she had no interest in causing a reason to forget another day entirely. Eventually the lights flickered on with a faint red glow, just enough that she was able to see figures around her as she shifted to watch a few horsemen scurry about.
It was getting worse Harper thought pulling out her phone and scrolling through the messages. Much worse.

Aha! So there he was.
Rook stood before the door to Thias' room, grinning from ear to ear at the name that was scrawled beneath the room number to indicate the identity of the patient who was within. He knew it. He was right to assume that Thias too had been brought to the hospital under presumably the same circumstance that brought him here.
Gleefully rubbing his hands together, the War Warrior threw open the door, a big smile on his face as he strode in and called out at the top of his voice.
"Thiaasss! Time to wake uuuppp!"
Only to be met with total silence and an empty room. Damn it. Looks like he would have to go elsewhere to try to locate the missing Famine Sage then. Turning on his heels, Rook made his way back to the elevator.
Maybe he could try the Famine Common Floor or Thias' room next...

"Hold up, hold up."
Around them the tower went pitch dark as the power went out and Rep's first reaction was to move closer to his family. It was unfortunate really because he had been honestly hoping for another kid fight, setting Maze's stubbornness against Mask's fiestiness. When you were war it was really hard not to encourage arguments amongst your brood. Instead something major was going down, and he didn't doubt for a second that it was probably related to the crystal and the memory lapse of the previous day.
As people split up into groups and went to help their separate floors he found himself at a bit of a dilemma. All three of them hailed from different clans and he didn't actually want them to split up if they could avoid it. He put Mask on his shoulder and turned to the others.
"Where are we going?" he asked. "We need fear, what do you guys wanna do? The easiest way I can think of is well, hunter murder I guess, with our collective strength like, we could do it in no time, and the kids could learn some s**t while we are at it."
He shrugged. "I dunno like, what clan we should help either. I just want us to like, stick together as much as possible."

Harrison grinned wide, with pointed teeth. "You know my preference. I'd rather be in the thick of giving a bunch of cattle a good death than foalsitting sleeping mares. I'm for War."
He was already armored, although depending on what part of the human world they were going to he'd have to switch over to herd clothes.
"The more blood and the longer the fight, the better. Isn't that right?" He asked the foals.
Jr.'s hair was puffed up. He had weak eyes, and wore a pair of glasses. His hair was blonde, and he folded his arms, looking away from his bickering siblings, "Hmpfh!" He opined, "I know more things than both of you." He seemed rattled by the lightshow, however, and at Harrison's question, uncurled his fist from where he found himself holding on to Jordan's clothes.
"Sticking together, of course," He agreed, "the best plan, the best clan," he seemed pleased about the rhyme.

It followed their line of vision too, shifting so its feet were propped against Rep's shoulders, crouched to move. As everything went dark, it had not moved, it hadn't moved at all, but now that the emergency power was back the child stirred almost sluggishly.
"I can fix it," it slurred, and the notion of it fixing anything sounded ridiculous. "I can fix it but only if you want me to."

Rep found the way Mask sounded a lot more distressing than anything to do with the lights. He was about to say to Harrison that he really ******** liked his attitude and scold Jr for being a nerd again but this was dropped for the moment in favour of turning his genuine concern to the other foal. "Are you awright wee man?" he asked. He couldn't explain why it upset him so much, why everything about that moment had felt so off but the fact of the matter was that it had.
All of the kids had their moment when ill or sleepy where they said strange things, but this also felt different from that. "And naw." he said, rubbing Mask's back with a hand crossed over behind his head. "Naw, we'll fix it together. All of us. You can help though, like I said, you can help your brother be less wussy." and he nodded at Jr emphatically. "Maze and you can toughen him up."
But even waving it off as best he could he was worried. "Are you sure you feel all right though?"

[ Lobby - Pt. 2 ]
He was getting frustrated. All of these horsemen around him, and none were the one he was looking for. Worst still, none of them knew what was going on. It created an overall sense of unease. Even Mial could feel it. Everyone talking in hushed, urgent voices, gathered around the windows. Wait...
Frown persisting, he moved to one of the windows as well, looking out, then up at the glowing red of the crystal that hung suspended in the air above them. It probably should have been comforting, it being the source of everything in their lives, but somehow it just wasn't. Not right now. Maybe...maybe it was the dark crags of cracks along the bottom that he couldn't remember having ever noticed before. Or, maybe, how it seemed like those same cracks were leeching away the red color.
The lights suddenly went out. Shocked and panicked shouts rang out around him. Mial bristled as he was suddenly jostled and bumped on all sides, and he growled as he elbowed his way away from the other bodies.
Long moments of this, and then the lights flickered, coming back on, but much dimmer. Everything cast in an odd, shadowed glow.
Only then did he see her, standing off to one side, looking no less on edge as everyone else. "Harper!" It was equal parts relief and annoyance, but when he reached her side he was scooping her up off the ground to hug her to him.
