With a mighty screech, Sludge stabbed his foe on the tip if his barbed tail, watching it dissolve into black smoke. More then a little tired, he dragged himself up the stairs where he was given a medal, but nothing to eat.
Oh well, the medal looked shiny at least.

She was sparring against herself! This seemed familiar... Oh, right! She had sparred with herself recently, but it had been in her natural form, and her doppelganger had been quite strong. If she understood this event correctly, they'd start out on more even terms here. Well, mostly even.
Canon wanted that shirt.
Killer fashion aside, Canon felt an uplifting wave of support from the heart pin she was wearing. This was a chance to see how far she'd come since she'd joined Amityville. What better control for this experiment could there be? She felt her resolve strengthen, and when the signal for the bout to begin came, Canon rushed in with an exhilarated whoop.
Her doppel landed a decent hit, but Canon's attack was devastating. The two Canon's backed away and began circling each other.

Finally it came, the battle as the last session for the house cup. According to the scores, monster house was falling behind so AJ hoped he could do something for his house. Strength was what monsters are great at and he would definitely show it to all. He was in his sleeveless uniforms again and with an excited expression, his red eyes were lit with eagerness as he flexed his neck and fingers. It might be the happiest face one ever seen in this event from the student, he felt like an awakened beast. His muscles were roaring to move and gave their best, "Ready, Bro?" With a confident smirk, he asked. "All ready!" The tail head quickly replied.
Stepping through the stadium door, he immediately spotted something was wrong. The students that were walking along him, either rubbing their hands or looked at the floor in an uneasy manner were gone. He continued to walk, in all the darkness and silence, slowly. His own footsteps were firm and uniform, the tail head raised and stared at their front, focused. "You feel it too, Bro?" Walked at an amble, AJ swiftly sensed another presence but he remained poised and moved closer towards the unknown existence, it stopped eventually and a strong spotlight shot from above.
The figure therefore revealed its identity, closer after was a light chuckle escaped from the student. AJ saw the most hilarious version of himself, an orange bandanna and one single knitted glove in the same color as his heart pin. What's more was the ugly holiday sweater with a stretched deformed Christmas tree in the middle. There was no doubt he was him but the boil moved his head up and put his hand over his face for a while. "This's worse than the exam, you know?" Voice came out underneath the face hidden, filled up amusement instead of anger or other emotions.
"Shall we start?" AJ made a graceful gentleman bow, as if inviting him to dance with him. After his laughter ebbed, he calmed down and prepared for the unavoidable fight.
You feel BRAVE as you stare down your doppelganger.

The battle for the red star sweater continued. Canon's second attack wasn't nearly as devastating as the first, but was a respectable blow nonetheless. Her doppelganger hit her consistently but weakly. This disappointed Canon somewhat. She wanted her doppelganger to go all out against her!

Canon tried to force her doppelganger to put more effort into the bout by using her Gatling Stinger move in the next round. However, as Canon let fly with her tail, the doppelganger swayed gracefully between the attacks, coming closer and closer until she was able to precisely land the same weak attack on Canon.
Regaining her equilibrium, Canon blinked at her doppelganger in surprise.
"That was incredible!" she exclaimed, hopping from foot to foot. "I didn't think you were giving it your all, but the way you dodged all those attacks...!"

Another him didn't react, so AJ figured out he had to take the initiative for the battle. He hopped back for a distance before he swirled for a powerful kick. The doppelganger raised an arm to block it from hitting his head, the collision made an audible sound. Compared to last time, he seemed to be stronger again. AJ knew there was a big flaw for this kind of clone, they couldn't use fear attacks. With a smirk, he channeled the fear from his core and wrapped thinly over his body while concentrated on his hands. The black nails lengthened in a blink and he sprang at his opponent and clawed at the ugly sweater self.
The successful scratches created sudden sharp pains that slowed the movement of the doppelganger. "Your response's not quick enough," he commented as the clone found a time to deliver a punch at his open chest.

Her doppelganger seemed to want to drive the point home by dodging Canon's next attack while easily scoring the same weak attack against her.
Canon recovered, and put some space between them, reconsidering her strategy. This opponent was obviously not a perfect doppel, since she was landing all her hits, and Canon had no idea how she was so quick at dodging. Canon thought on it as they circled the arena. Perhaps... instead of being an exact copy of her fighting skills, it was a copy that showed her potential ability? If Canon spent a bit more time training, perhaps she'd be able to land hits and dodge attacks as consistently as this other Canon?

The punch connected even AJ noticed it fast and moved. He quickly retreated as he bought time to recover from the impact. The scratch attack didn't touch the clone, it would be good if it did, however, the main purpose was to drive him away so that he could pose better for defense. In the fight, AJ could feel he wasn't strong enough, even he got better, it wasn't enough. He desired more, greater power that allowed him to knock down anyone blocking his way.
That was his way of survival, besides waiting to meet with his Shishou again, that powerful woman would have a lot to say to him when she was watching the fight.

The thought in mind helped him to brace up, the canine teeth of him morphed into long pointy fangs and he hissed like a serpent. It was his second fear attack, he slowly strolled around the clone at a distance, like a beast about to strike. Unfortunately he missed the moment and when he leapt at another him, he flung him off before his fangs would dig into his skin. "Jack." He wasted a good chance.
AJ slid and put the forces on his feet to increase the friction in order to stop himself from the momentum of the clone's action. He was a tough one, but not as tough as that one in the exam to be honest. It just took times to take him down, the best way was to reserve his stamina and waited for the doppelganger to show weaknesses.

His decision was wise, soon, the clone temporarily lost his focus and AJ sprinted to deliver a punch under the clone's jaw. With the upward kinetic force, the clone was unwillingly raised his head and fell backward, losing his balance.

AJ didn't wait for him to get up, it wasn't a spar but a real battle. As the clone struggled to get his balance back, the boil quickly turned to his back and gave the clone a side kick that pushed him topple forward.

Before he almost kissed the ground, AJ jerked him by his sweater so his center of gravity shifted backward as he pummeled at the doppelganger's stomach.
