"Can I try again?" Nucleo asked as he approached the mooncakes stand. He had a craving for a smoky more savory treat at the moment and wanted to make one for himself. The troll nodded in response to him and let him mix up another batch. Nervous about stamping the design on since he kept screwing that up, Nucleo gingerly pressed mooncake before letting them bake. When they came out, it was faint and hard to see which was disappointing. It also appeared he'd taken then out too early. Next time he'd have to not psych himself out!Quote: I'm burning mooncakes! He thought he spotted someone he knew around the community pot but Amonee was too slow working his way through the crowd to catch up. Disheartened by a missed encounter, he turned his attention to the stew to distract himself. Pondering how it might taste was kind of silly but entertaining as he watched other trolls drop various items into it.
"Excuse me, pardon me-" This time the painter had brought something special to throw in the pot. Pulling a package out of his bag, Amonee carefully dropped some cut up wedges of yam inside and inhaled a nice whiff of the aroma boiling from the pot.Quote: I'm potentially poisoning everyone. as much as he liked the community pot, he could not actually eat the stew yet. Tired and hungry from walking all over the festival, Amonee wandered until he found the familiar happy moon cakes booth. He fell into place at one of the tables and set to work while chatting with a neighbor. The flower child was so preoccupied with this that he forgot to even out the tray in the oven to bake. Absentmindedly, he took a bite.
"Ugh, I can't believe I did that." He flushed and threw the rest away. Hopefully no one had seen anything.Quote: I'm burning mooncakes! I mean baking. My cakes are: Nutty (+1), Flaky (+1), Press too hard (-1), Undercooked (-2) Tickets won: 0

Etsali kept coming back anyway, because she was sure she could find it, but once again all she'd found was...well, hay. Not even a shiny button this time. Where was that thing hiding?

She needed to restock on the treats, of course, so went to work at cooking, just a bit distracted. Somewhere along the way she'd messed up on these too, though, since they didn't look or taste quite as good as her first batch. These were...kind of mushy, a little cold. She chewed on one anyway as she moved on.

People had added a lot more to it since the last time she had come by, and it seemed to her that it looked like an entirely different dish already. She reached for one of the vegetables she had taken for crop bartering and dropped it in with a little splash. This was going to be so good when it was time to eat.

Vremea didn't seem to notice what had happened to the poor mooncakes until she saw the terrible shape they were in. With a sheepish smile to the curvy greenblood, the white-hemotyped female quickly stepped away from the area, having tried her best with them but they were honestly unsavable! Maybe the next day...??

Quote: I'm digging in the haystack ... I found: nothing Tickets won: 1 Tonight, his operation had to be far more sneaky.
After last night's itchy pants situation, Mahmud had tried to think of an ideal solution to shoving his pants full of straw. There had to be something more... sneaky. When he came home the night before, the boy had poured over all the books he had (all seven of them) and came across the solution.
As usual, the troll found jack diddly in regards to needles. By this point, he recognized how fruitless an endeavor it truly was in comparison to his bold mission.
A bold mission, to match his bold fashion choices.
Some trolls gawked as they watched the boy with the massive stuffed hat walk by, and the stand operator did not seem amused. But maybe all this hay taking will help people eventually find that stupid needle, as he helped his mom make the planet's best nest.

Maybe slower than she'd like, but she was still capable of getting a knack for things. Knowing this, she returned to the stew. Perhaps one bad ingredient wouldn't ruin the entire pot.... Hopefully. Maybe.
She picked up another edible item, looked it over, felt it up for any unusual squish. From what she could tell without actually tearing it apart, it was in rather good condition. Excellent! Into the pot it went.

Quote: I'm potentially poisoning everyone. Quality increase: +3 Barter crop: n/a Tickets won: 2 Last night's punkin victory meant so much more than a simple handful of tickets. It meant that perhaps, the curse of the rotten punkin was over! Or at least, that Mahmud learned to pick good ones...
"Coo!" Tonight was Ommy's turn though; he promised her the morning before, as he went to sleep. Now that he found a good punkin, it was her turn to find a veggie she liked!
Curious as to its flavor, the large bird... lusus... thing... decided to peck at one of the tarnips on the table, much to Mahmud's disgust. Tarnips... clearly, an inferior veggie. No matter though! It was his Ommy's choice, and it must have been a good one because the stand operator slid two tickets his way.

"******** fancy parties, though," Leeroi turned to Guo and sneered, shoulders raising defensively. "I'd rather roll around in s**t than live through that again," He added, attention turning away to look at the festivities surrounding him. What was Guo talking about anyways? This place was great. Games, prizes, fireworks and food? Leeroi lived for this kind of stuff. And yeah, it was in the middle of nowhere, but what was wrong with a little new adventure? He had been distracted by the mooncake stand when Guo had rushed off, but he quickly followed up once he figured out where his friend had gone. He rushed up to the snoutbeast pen, hoisting his arms over the edge so he was leaning on his chest. Now this was a fun way to start the night. Leeroi kicked his feet aimlessly, stirring up dirt as he watched Guo try to take down one of the little oinkers. He laughed heartily, watching his friend struggle in the dirt. "Come on! Put some muscle into it! I don't want to be here all night!" He jeered, sticking his tongue out and giggling. Guo was totally scrawny, so Leeroi honestly didn't expect him to wrestle the snoutbeast in great time. But egging his friend on was way too fun of an opportunity to pass up. As Guo made his way out of the pen, Leeroi ran over to catch up with him, listening to his whining with a smug look on his face. "Maybe you should try doing things right the first time," He jabbed, giving Guo a hard punch on the shoulder. Leaning in to hear Guo's muttering, a dangerous smile spread across Leeroi's face. He turned to look for his lusus. Glitch was a ways off, but it was clear enough that she had attention on her charge, even from a distance. Leeroi took a moment to pout about it, then decided that he was going to go through with Guo's idea anyways. Glitch had hardly ever stopped him before, so what was the worry? He gave Guo another playful punch, and with a little laugh he muttered, "Watch me." Then he tore off, sneaking over to the first big snoutbeast he could spot. With a quick move, he opened up its pen and made a wide stance, ready to take the beast down. Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 25 seconds Tickets won: N/A

The snoutbeast came at Leeroi with a full charge, and before he knew it he found himself flipped up in the air, screaming madly. He hit the ground with a hard thud, and he wheezed, trying to get some air back into his chest. He let out a whine, looking up at the large snoutbeast, and a flash of thought passed him, realizing he had made a very bad decision. He mumbled for a moment, trying to regain his footing. He dusted off his hands, remembering that Guo was watching him. Snarling, he charged at the snoutbeast, leaping with his whole body to take it down. Happily enough for him, his hands found contact with the beast, and he let out a cry of delight before realizing his feet were fully off the ground. He tried to hold on, screaming again as he was dragged throughout the pen. Quote: I'm getting trampled by a snoutbeast! Hurray! Total time: 25 seconds + 25 seconds = 50 Tickets won: N/A

The thought that the needle would someday be freed from its coarse, grassy prison filled her with determination! Hopefully she would be the one to rescue it. After she chose a suitable position to attack the haystack from, she drove herself forward into it and waggled her arms with all her might... to no avail. Not a single button or needle to be found! Karrem was well aware that winning at the haystack would take multiple tries, and she was fully prepared to try again!
