After maneuvering back around the various exercising equipment again, Scarlett exited Dewford Gym and was greeted by the familiar salty air. Vandal and Dotty appeared to be making sand castles near the shoreline, which made Scarlett admittedly suspicious. "I hope ya found my egg b'fare playin' in the sand." She insisted as she drew close, crossing her arms. "Yeah yeah, don't get yer panties in a bunch." Vandal plucked the plastic egg off the top of their construction and handed it off to Scarlett, replacing it with a seashell instead. With that, he stood up, brushing himself off before Scarlett returned him and Dotty to their pokeballs. It was off to the next egg location, and gym.

Dewford Town was more so an island out in the middle of the ocean and the smell of fresh sea air did invigorate Ashley some. Dewford Town was rather small and so the shopping center (or at least what was available) held a very limited selection. He did a bit of browsing all the same to see what he could find; he didn’t need anything sharp and expensive for his intentions, he just wanted something that would make it visibly clear that Eevee belonged to someone already and prevent trainer’s from attempting to catch her. It wasn’t sure proof, there were bound to be a few idiots who tried, but the less attempts the better.

The shopping selections were … limited. Dangerously so; on top of that they all seemed to center around of theme of fighting which, given the gym leader’s type usage, wasn’t surprising. Still though, Ashley managed to find a few things that he could make use of; there was a sort of fighter’s belt that he figured he could fashion into something nice for Eevee. It was cheap and sturdy and with the way she seemed to rough house (or he imagined, he’d yet to see her in action) it would probably work well.
Taking his purchase and storing it away for now, the French man returned outdoors to seek his pokemon. It wasn’t too long before they crossed paths and once more Eevee presented him with the egg she’d found. Taking it once more he gave her praise, summoning up the rider once more. They were making decent time. They might be through Hoenn before he really needed to stop for a rest.

Now in Dewford, he could relax and refocus again. On what he'd been focusing on before, but still. Transportation was out of the way, Charmander and Chikorita knew what to do, Cosmog2 was wandering off, Cosmog1.... was bouncing around... Whatever. He'd keep an eye on that, but his main focus was the little noodle presently wrapped around his wrist. He turned his gaze down to it and lifted his arm some to give it a frown, making sure its little blue eyes were looking at him so it could see the disapproval. "You gonna let go?" he asked, staring hard, trying to, what... intimidate it? Or something, into releasing its grip on his arm. It didn't seem to take the bait, though.

In fact, it held on tighter. With all the times it had tightened its grip, though, this was becoming painful. "Ow! Hey, let go! You'll cut off the freaking circulation!" Adder quickly complained, shoving at it and trying again to get it to loosen. It sent a small spark that forced him to quickly jerk his head away, and for a second, the two stared at each other. A thought occurred to him, and he lifted his head, lowering his eyelids some as he gazed down at the pokemon. "Y'know, I'm not gonna train you," he remarked. He figured, maybe that was why it was sticking around? It thought it had found a trainer to make it strong, or something. But the unimpressed gaze it was giving him made him reconsider. Maybe it would be better to threaten that he... would train it...? Not that he was sure how he'd do that. He'd have to get it off his wrist before he could have any wild pokemon attack it or send it into battle or anything. Maybe Chikorita could knock it out again...

Huffing, Adder crossed his arms over his chest. The pokemon slipped around his wrist, just to get more comfortable, but still remained tightly coiled. He shot it a glare, but turned on his heel, moving to follow the other two pokemon. He might make a trip to the pokecenter, while he was at it. Perhaps here, if he had time, or if not, the next location. He sort of wanted to unload some of the pokemon he wasn't using. Arrow, for instance, was handy, but there weren't many more marshlands and the pokemon seemed to be capable of taking care of themselves. He could probably put him, and that unown thing, back in the PC, especially now that he had to deal with this... noodle.

Actually, come to think of it, he should probably think of something to call the pokemon around his wrist. Klow was a bit general, it was just the species name. His nicknaming habits were hard to pin down, but he felt like this one ought to have something specific, if only so he could target it, in particular, in his future cursings. He had a feeing he might need to. But what was a fitting name... He didn't really have time to consider, as his pokemon found their eggs, and he needed to once again round everyone up to head to the next location. At least they were making progress.

Elle observed her trainer, before she looked away, eyes glowing as she tried to gently prod the minds of others tiredly scrounging around, seeing if anyone might have located an egg without realizing it, or spotted multiple ones. She wasn't quite sure what was going on with Ajicka, but she had a feeling it was likely best not to prod, for the time being. It was true, she could always just slip into her trainer's mind, but she often preferred to talk to her when she could. Admittedly, she had a habit of simply residing there, to keep watch, to follow in Metagross' stead of gently monitoring their trainer's mental state, but she'd tried to pull back when she realized how defensive Ajicka was over the amount of psychic's intruding on her mind.

Given how fatigued Ajicka was, it was no surprise that she wasn't bearing any fruit in her search. After a while, though, Elle glided over, tapping Ajicka's shoulder, and producing an egg. 'I found one!' she announced proudly. Ajicka blinked, staring a moment, before taking the egg. She still wasn't meeting the gardevoir's gaze, but Elle knew part of that was from the tiredness, and distraction. Part of it wasn't, though, and it bothered her. "Thank's Elle. Can you grab the others? I'll go get us a room," she suggested, turning and heading towards the pokecenter, putting the shells and egg casing away, separately.
