"Wh...caff caff...what the hell.. are you... hah.. doing here?"

He was on his knees now, body supported up by his right hand, as he attempted to get back on both feet. He was too busy trying to get lungs and throat free to notice what was going on with Alex.

At the moment, things looked pretty pathetic.

He let loose the treasue chest he had, letting it drag against the discolored sand to topple against Shouyin's feet.

"...that."

"I was in the area... Been swooping through the tricities looking for some things." Shouyin shrugged like it was some afternoon tea conversation before leaning back slightly and stretching out. Breathing out harshly he looked at Vahn again. The guy seemed alright, or alright as you could be coming out of a dragon's stomach, he'd probably been through worse before.

"Hmm."

Dropping the tooth, Shouyin bent at the knees to eye the chest more closely. "Who's the girl?" He asked while inspecting the object, poking and prodding it with his right hand before picking it up fully and turning it about. Waiting for Vahn's response, he blinked once in decision, and flipped open the lid.

((God... that's just cruel... make him dig through the slobber for the chest only to ask if you can have it back. >_<''))

"Somebody I picked up back in the Residential area... she seemed to be running from some people so I decided to tag along. I...."

He sat down on the beach, knees up as he began wiping fluid off his shoulders.

"...I was actually trying to find some information on what went down in Latent. Right after the tournament... bunch of ships came into the harbor and undead swarmed all over. I fought with a nasty one myself... and I lost Suntrike."

Even as he said it, his head hung down.

The one thing he did not want to admit to himself for so long now.

"I... failed to keep him safe and the town barely survived the attack. My... my blood went berserk and according to Lucind.... I killed off the leader. I don't remember much of anything else... other than getting a letter from Silver. He went off to Durem and I was left with nothing else to do... I figured checking out the harbors would do me good.

I got a call from an old friend telling me of undead attacking another town, and it seemed pretty similar to what happened in Latent so I went.

It was a place called Aerial.... by the time I got there everyone was dead. It was a ghost town. I found a straggler... but it wasn't like anything I ever fought before. It was like... a walking ink blob. I met a guy called Rage, and decided to tag up with him to find out what was going on.

From there I ended up here, in Gambino, staying at the guy's place; the tavern you showed up at with Ray.

Apparently some group calling themselves 'Shadelords' are trying to do something bad.... some other crazy s**t started happening as well. I got another call and decided to check it out...

That's when I ran into her... and found out about the game. Finding petals or weird s**t is gonna keep happening to the point that reality breaks and we're all ********. So I figured one way or another... somethings gonna have to be done.

I don't know about you, but I ain't ready to kick the bucket just yet."

Besides... I already promised... her that I would help.

The sound of the dragon's voice caused him to turn to it's direction, before looking over to Shouyin.

"Gold?"

Kira got an indignant look, clearly not enjoying being talked about as if she wasn't present. "Either you give it back, or I take it out of your hide, mortals," she growled ominously.

Kira rose from the water and strolled towards the group. She then settled herself on the sand and began licking at a cut on her tail, crumpled wing held tightly against her body. Still sniffing indignantly, she switched to telepathy, if only to exclude the Child of Stone. I am Kiraalu. Kira. And who are you, exactly?

"......"

Watching her clamber back onto land, he suddenly thumbed his own chest, pointing despite the amount of fluid dripping off.

"Vahn, son of Fah."

Yellowed eyes held the dragon in gaze, even as a strange grin broke over his face. He seemed completely oblivious to the fact that he had just been swallowed whole nearly half an hour ago.

"I don't care much for the gold... like I said, I was only looking for what might be seen as... a petal. If you have nothing to offer in the way of information... then I guess that's just how the dice roll."

He lowered his head, a hand running along the back of his neck.

"...Must be lonely, being taken away from home, and just put somewhere you don't belong. I don't know what will happen when these... things... are found. But if everything gets restored back to normal... then for that sake.."

He raised his head, staring at Kira, both hands on his knees. The look in his eyes was defiant even as he spoke.

"Please don't eat a single human! I'll do everything I can to make sure you get sent back home, so no one else has to get hurt!"

... Shouyin blinked, as was his way, and went to grab the balls, but they disappeared. "Weird." The half-golem retook his place atop the tooth, paying slight attention to the conversation while smoking it up. He could see this chaos stuff getting very annoying, very quickly.
