It wasn't easy to keep even her own morale up, much lest that of the others around her, but the sight of everyone doing what they could in every little way known to them to try to bring this thing down lest it wrecked the Maul further and took them all with it managed to lift Yvette's spirit some. And that was what she sorely needed at the moment to keep going even though her limbs felt increasingly like dead weights that were slowing her down by the minute.

Weakness. Every creature, no matter how big or small, always had one or a couple of them if one knew where to look. And given how tall this thing was...

Glancing around her, she spotted a nearby fire escape stairway and swiftly made her way over to it, scaling the steps until it took her all the way to the top floor and granted her a bird's eye view of all the monsters and the gigantic shadowling laying waste to everything that stood in its path. Well... it was one thing to get herself all the way up here but it wasn't as if she could see anything shiny or eye catching on the shadow creature that could yield what she had come all this way for. Why on Halloween did they make it look so easy on television was mind boggling to say the least.

Might as well make full use of her current position then...

Tossing all caution to the wind, she hoisted herself over the safety barrier that kept her from falling to her death and literally took a leap of faith onto the shadowling itself, claws and teeth all ready to give the shadowling a piece of her mind for ruining her day and landing her into hot soup.

Something growled and rose out of the ground, and Carrol suddenly regretted coming to the maul at all. He wanted to run. He was going to run.

"Gonna look for your cat," he said. Any excuse to get away. When he turned to look at the hooded ghoul and the bunny boil, they were gone anyway. Freaky.

The wig monster ran, straight past the giant shadowling, giving it a few feeble kicks on the way by.

Than propelled himself forward, letting out another throaty battle cry as he lunged at the monster.

And then proceeded to bounce right back off of it, landing rather awkwardly on his rump. "Oh that...Than was not at all likings that." He grumbled, picking himself up a touch shakily. "Rude, badling. Rude." The pup admonished. "LET THAN HIT THEEEEEE!"

The chimera wasn't having any luck at all with hitting the jack damn creature, and she was starting to get frustrated!

She wasn't the only one not hitting her mark either.. Really, how hard was it to land a blow on a monster the size of a small house?

Fists don’t fail now!

After his moment’s reprieve, Hairwolf dove back into battle with a howl. No way was thing going to win! It probably liked terrible music! Barking and yapping, the boil made a lot of noise in an attempt to intimidate the shadowling. He may have gotten a little carried away showing off, as his dramatic fighting poses were, indeed, not actual attacks. He sure did look good though, long luxurious locks waving through the air as he danced around. The boil almost glittered in his good looks. Actually, if you inspected him more closely, you would see that his ears and tail did in fact have a sort of sparkly sheen to them. And those eyes of his, well, they just dazzled.

Unfortunately, the big shadow brute didn’t seem to really appreciate sparkles. And it definitely didn’t appreciate Hairwolf’s fist connecting with its face. It spun around and gave the sparklewolf a solid shove backwards.

Surprised by the attack, Hairwolf landed firmly on his rear with a resounding thump and slid backwards across the floor until he found himself at the Neonsides feet. He grinned up at them cheekily, laying flat on his backside.

“Hey dudelings, whatcha doin’ up there?”
