"Princess?" Sibelle's eyes widened at the thought. "You got to meet a real princess?!" Of course, being the little girl she was, the mage was more than giddy about the information. "What was she like?"

Thankfully, the slayer was doing a great job of distracting the mage long enough to allow the mechanic's bullets to land the hits. The mage bounced back between the two men. Blade on one side and bullet storm from the other. It wasn't long before she went down.
The slayer was sweating out from the thick air of fire and heat on top of the physical work. "Right. . . Let's get out of here before we pass out and get roasted alive."

Verla smiled, "Yeah, my rescue squad worked directly under royal mechanic. She was a sweet woman." She tilted her head noting the girl's next question, "She kind at heart and never giving up on us. Everyone looks up to her. One day, I wished to work under the princess herself"

Aittus was already on his knees wheezing and coughing, his head light from the smoke and the heat, "Y-yeah. . . s-sounds like a plan. . ." He wheezed.

"Wow. . . ." The mage had stars in her eyes. "I kinda want to meet her if she's really as nice as she is. Maybe I can tag along with either you or Dyaus when you get up to Empyrean?"

"Come on, mate." The slayer helped the mechanic up and started heading out of the forest. "Just keep breathing. . . ."

"Sure. I'm positive the princess will be glad to meet you" She smiled and stretched, "Man am I tired. . . lets get some rest"

The mechanic gave a weak nod and walked with the slayer, "Thanks for the help"

"Well, we're right in front of an inn aren't we? Come on," Sibelle grinned and pulled the door open for the Empyreans.

"Just don't die on me," the slayer chuckled. "We'll be out of here soon."

Verla gave a nod, thanking the Mage as she entered while Gaulz took the attention on the door to let the young Mage through.

Aittus laughed as he wheezed again, coughing a bit, "Ah, don't worry. When you panic because you think you're going to drown when you're not, it's fine" He thought about his second run up the sky tower. It was the most terrifying thing he'd ever seen.

Sibelle gave thanks the the launcher and headed into the inn after the ranger did. She looked at the front desk and then back to Verla, "Are you guys staying somewhere else or you didn't check in yet?"

The slayer gave a nod as he continued to focus on getting both him and the mechanic out of the danger zone. He could see some patches of green ahead. "I think I found our ticket out, mate. There's green up ahead."

"You guys can check into this one. It's pretty decent from what I heard from Dyaus," Sibelle smiled.

"Not out of the woods yet," Sindre said as they got further away from the heat of the burning area of the forest.

"No problem. You guys should probably get a room while Dyaus and Ibsen are still out. No reason to pass out in the lobby, right?" Sibelle smiled.

"Well, they did say there was a forest fire for a reason," Sindre chuckled as they finally got away from the inferno. "Think you can walk it off from here?"

They checked in for the night and bid Sibelle a good evening as they vanished into their respected rooms.

"You did agree to help me out here in the first place, mate," the slayer laughed. He saw the town lights from the small clearing of trees they had reached. Sindre gave a smile, "Won't be long til we hit town. Looks like the sun already set though."
