Rhaplanca tensely lowered herself into her pod looking dead ahead until she drifted off peacefully. I remember... be careful Ishira.Ishira
Ishira allowed himself to succumb to the false sleep.Rhaplanca's Cosmosphere
Level 1 Ishira awoke at what appeared to be the ruins of a church, crumbled stones were scattered everywhere, "What is this place?" he marveled, "Is this inside Rhaplanca's mind?""You there," someone voiced sounded and instantly time had frozen and a girl was in front of Ishira. - Kunoichi Samurai"Rhaplanca?" he said shocked, "what are you wearing?" "I am but one representation of Rhaplanca's many forms," she said flatly as her eyes narrowed into a look of disapproval, "I have deemed you unworthy to sully Rhaplanca's mind. LEAVE!" Kunoichi Samurai slashed at Ishira with one of her many swords.Ishira felt the pain as if it were real and the virtual reality faded away as he heard someone calling his name repeatedly. Moments later he found himself on the floor of the dive shop looking up at Rhaplanca's worried face. "I'm so sorry, I want you to dive but I'm not sure what went wrong.""Wow, a new record! The fastest boot happened simultaneously for two divers! Astonishing!" the shopkeeper girl clapped, "No charge for unsuccessful sessions." "Rhaplanca, can you try again?" "I fear it would just be the same results," she admitted.

 NoaahNoaah took his time stepping out of his pod, looking over at Rhaplanca and Ishira. It seemed they had suffered the same fate as he and Vegna...
A dive plunges a person into the depths of a Reyvateil's Cosmosphere, which is his or her 'heart' turned into a world. A Cosmosphere is the pure and raw representations of a Reyvateil's feelings, progressing from Level 1, usually to 9. The first level should have been a cakewalk... Why was Vegna expulsed? And Ishira as well...? Perhaps something amiss here... He thought, sighing softly. Seeing as though Vegna wasn't coming back any time soon, Noaah walked over to see Rhaplanca and Ishira, shyly smiling.
"The same things happened to you guys, huh..." he said, his soft voice gentle and timid. "Don't worry... I don't think there's anything wrong... Maybe you just need to know each other a bit better? I'll try harder next time, for Vegna..." One could see that the boy was deeply embarassed about the incident. He didn't want anyone to hate him, and by the looks of it, Vegna already disliked the male. That was the last thing he wanted...
"What should we do now...? I don't think diving again would change anything... so shall we go to the library? Or is there an other errand you need to do?"

"I-I'm not... besides... I like it up better..." Hikari blushed profusely and hid her face. "I-I'll only do this until we're safe again. Then... I'm putting my hair band in again..." She stole a shy glance at Gannon to see if he was laughing at her yet or not. She figured he would be. She herself thought she looked pretty silly with her hair down. But then again, she wondered why she was so worried about what he thought of her.

 Rhaplanca remained kneeling on the floor over Ishira with her fists clenched in her lap, "I'll give it one more try," she whispered, "I try harder this time," she was fighting back tears.Ishira
Ishira leaned up on one arm, "I got it in me if your serious," he promised. Looking back at Noaah, "You can wait with us or try and smooth things over with Vegna," he offered.

Ishira stood, "Are you sure?" he asked Rhaplanca again, "I'm more worried about the effects on you," he put and hand on her shoulder.
Rhaplanca
Rhaplanca looked up at him and nodded determinedly.
"My mind is made up," she responded, "Same results or not at least I'll know the boot wasn't a fluke, right?" I feared a rough start but I have to try! Please work...
Rhaplanca and Ishira entered the dive pods, again they both drifted off.

Rhaplanca's Cosmosphere
Level 1 Upper Cosmosphere Music ~Rhaplanca~Ishira awoke in the same place as before.
"Here again?"
-Kunoichi Samurai (KS)
KS- "You again?" Kunoichi Samurai asked with a glare."W-wait a moment!" Ishira pleaded.KS- "Silence! Have you not learned your lesson?!" Kunoichi Samurai slashed at Ishira but this time the attack did know damage.Ishira flinched, "Huh? Nothing?"KS- "Impossible!" She fumed, as she repeatedly attacked with no avail.
???- "Ahahahaha!" a hysterical laughter interrupted them, "Give it up Kunoichi Samurai."
 Bewitching (B)
KS- "YOU?! You have no authority here Bewitching, leave!" Kunoichi Samurai warned.
B- Bewitching gave a devious smirk, "Oh I believe I do dear Kunoichi Samurai," she sauntered over, "A recent shift in the level put me one spot above you.," she laughed histerically again, "It seems that Rhaplanca's sheer will to have this gentlemen dive caused the level shift. It is impressive what she can do with a simple thought no? One concentrated thought and poof I outrank you!" she gloated, "I really must thank you sir," she curtsied to Ishira."Why are there two of you Rhaplanca?" Ishira baffled.KS- "We are merely representations of various sides, or emotions, of Rhaplanca," she irritatedly explained, "Are you that dense, boy?" she insulted, "You should thank her, boy," she gestured to Bewitching apathetically, "She's the reason you aren't booted. Unfortunately it appears with this current shift I cannot do as I see fit anymore," she scoffed, "So have your fun here while it lasts," she shifted her gaze to Bewitching, "Wipe that smile of your face, if he requires to complete my level to get to yours you have no hope," she pointed out, "I won't let him through!" She silently vanished.
B- "That devil woman!" she pouted, "Anyways, I wish you the best of luck, Kunoichi Samurai is still a ways off so maybe if you warm Rhaplanca's heart she'll allow you into her level?" she said with a chipper attitude that quickly diminished, "NOT LIKELY!" she laughed again, "Good luck~!" she disappeared as well."H-Hey wait!" Ishira ran after her to no avail.Soichii
"Hello and welcome to Rhaplanca's Cosmosphere!"Ishira jumped away from the voice, "W-who are you?! Another form of Rhaplanca?""YOU DUNCE!" Soichii groweld, "I am Rhaplanca's mind guardian, Soichii," he corrrected, "I do as my title says: guard Rhaplanca's mind," he said condescendingly, "But I can also be of help to you. For instance my advice is to leave," he said happily, "Rhaplanca's mind is very powerful and you could die from the experience if you are not careful!""I'm not going anywhere," Ishira stated, "I'm here to help Rhaplanca!""Is that so?" Soichii asked blankly, "I shall guide you the best I can and reveal Rhaplanca's world. She herself cannot see me but I will be by your side to make sure you don't die on her," his eyes narrowed, "You know it's a bigger responsibility for her to let you in her when it should be yours. Did you ever stop to think about how she would feel if something happened to you in here?""I won't let her down," Ishira eyes were determined."Very well," at that moment the world expanded. The world was small, lit by moonlight and lush with orchids, irises, and lilies. Somewhere of in the distance is the outline of a palace, but it is unreachable. From the Paradigm Altar there is a path that extends to two points of interest:
The Tower and the Flower Garden.

Rhaplanca's Cosmosphere
Level 1 Ishira cautiously walked down the path, "So any advice for a first timer?" he asked Soichii."Not particularly but I help with what I can, this level appears to be Rhaplanca's need for help. She won't admit it so you'll have to offer it," Soichii appeared very sad, "The flower garden used to be filled with butterflies, Rhaplanca's favorite, but they have all recently disappeared.""Can you give me hint as to where they are?" Ishira hoped."If I knew I'd have already done something, OH WAIT, I couldn't even if I wanted to! I'm not supposed to directly interfere with Rhaplanca's cosmosphere you dolt!" Soichii reprimanded him, "Perhaps you should try talking to the Rhaplanca on this level?""Geez, sorry for asking," Ishira sighed, "Ok." Ishira made a detour at the The Tower that peaked his curiousity.
Two song magic sprite were there. A little sprite boy representing fire and a little sprite girl representing ice.Icy- “Huh?! A human?!”
Fiery- “Humans are not aloud in this sacred place, leave at once!”
"What is this place," Ishira asked ignoring the warning.Icy- It the Tower of Ar_Tonelico duh!
Fiery- Every Reyvateil links up to it through there cosmosphere duh!
Icy- You should not be this close yet human!
Fiery- Leave now human!
They seemed to start to charge a magical attack."You should leave them, they have the power to boot you with that attack," Soichii informed."Oh wait, I'm leaving sorry to have bothered you," he laughed nervously and backed away to the original path.(RED MAGIC ACQUIRED: Freeze and Burn)"That was close, thank you!" he said gratefully."I did it for Rhaplanca, not you, stupid," The flower garden came into view. Rhaplanca was there looking depressed in her standard outfit."Rhaplanca!" he said happily as he dashed to her side.She look shocked and angered, "What are you doing here?! I don't want you here please leave!""I'm here to help you.." he thought quickly, "find the butterflies!"Her face softened to a frown, "No one can help me find them. They've all been taken by the Black Rose!" she started to cry."Hey, c'mon now," he consoled her, "I'll help you get them back I promise! Ok?""You mean it? But it's a really strong monster... what if I can't beat it?" she said sullenly."I'll help you fight!" he promised, "Just lead the way!"Rhaplanca's spirits were lifted, "Really? Oh thank you!" she said joyously, "Follow me, I'm sure with your help we can defeat it." Rhaplanca led Ishira deep into the garden. A narrow path emerged into woods. Soon a giant Black Rose was visible in a clearing, "That's it," she frowned."Whoa, it's huge!" he marveled, "so were are all the butterflies?"

"I saw the last of the butterflies heading this way. I was too scared to come alone. The monster lives here," she said quivering."It doesn't seem to be moving," Ishira said confidently.Suddenly Rhaplanca let out a short scream as thorny stems started to move. An evil black rose sprite emerged from behind the giant black rose bud.Rosythorn- "Who dares to desecrate my lovely rose?" she bellowed."Whoa!" Ishira yelped out of surprise.Rhaplanca tried to back away from the progressing thorns but they tangled her legs and bound her still, "Let go!" she struggled.Rosythorn- "You should make a good addition to my precious rose," she told Rhaplanca."No!" Rhaplanca struggled frantically as the thorny stems pulled her closer to the rose.Ishira charged the thorn stems and smashed through them with his staff, "Don't think so!" the remaining stems tied to Rhaplanca fell lifelessly to the ground.Rosythorn- "MY THORNS!" she wailed as she whipped Ishira with a thorn whip."Gah!" Ishira's sight faded momentarily.Rosythorn- "Do not interfere!"-the landscape froze into a gray still. Only Ishira remained in color and motion- "What the?" Ishira looked around at the still frame, "What's going on? Did it break?"Rhaplanca's voice sounded from nowhere, not from the Rhaplanca that stood frozen in a look of fear, "Ishira, cut down Rosythorn. You can not help me unless you defeat her."-the landscapes color and motion returned- Ishira was momentarily confused but quickly regained, "Alright, here it goes," he leaped up and attacked Rosythorn dead on.Rosythorn- "Nooooo!" Rosythorn dissipated.
(RED MAGIC ACQUIRED: Rosythorn)"Look! The butterflies!!" Rhaplanca said cheerfully as the black rose opened and dissolved into butterflies that flew everwhere, "Thank you so much! I'm glad they're safe." Suddenly a pillar of golden light erupted from the stone ruins of the Paradigm Altar, "OH! A paradigm shift!" she sounded surprised."A paradigm shift?" Ishira questionedRhaplanca looked nervous, "It happens when I'm ready to progress to the next level. I am supposed to pass through the light, but once that happens I'll change," she frowned."Are you worried?" he asked"I don't know what it's like in the next level," she admitted her fear, "Will you be there again?" she asked with hope in her eyes."Of course," he promised, "I'll be here as long as you want me to be."Rhaplanca's expression softened, "Ok, I think I'm ready," she blushed.Ishira led Rhaplanca back to the stone ruins. She started to look scared again, "Don't worry, I'll be there I promise," he smiled.She smiled faintly, "Ok, you better," she disappeared into the light."Whew," Ishira sighed with relief."Don't sigh yet you're far from done. With a promise like that you better see this through to the end," Soichii threatened, "If you break her heart I won't forgive you.""Hey, have a little faith in me. I'll be here whenever she needs me," he explained, "Actually I'm glad you're here. Something weird happened earlier. Is it normal for time to freeze in here?"Soichii sighed, "Rhaplanca is a ß-type Reyvateil which is a very strong class of Reyvateil. She herself has no problem directly interfering with the surface levels of the cosmosphere to produce an outcome she wants. In other words the reason you could dive the second time around and defeat Rosythorn is that the real Rhaplanca willed it. She basically made this level a cakewalk for you," he said condescendingly."Is that so?" Ishira frowned."Don't despair yet," he switched to happy mode, "After all if the real Rhaplanca wants you here it's a good start. Go back and keep her happy and it will make your dives a lot easier! Bye now~!"-SHUT DOWN MODE: SUCCESS-
END COSMOSPHERE LEVEL 1 Ishira awoke still a little groggy as the pod opened. He looked for Rhaplanca who was simultaneously awakening from her pod. He smiled at her, "It worked." Rhaplanca smiled back, "Glad to hear it," she said as she emerged from the pod with energy. She looked at Ishira and noticed his exhaustion, "Do you need to rest now?" she asked concerned."Nah," his stomach interrupted with a growl, "I'm really just super hungry," he laughed as he patted his stomach. "That's normal," she laughed, "let's find a place to eat then."

NoaahNoaah shook his head at both Rhaplanca and Ishira as they went towards their pods. He wouldn't let anyone dive into him... There was no way. As long as Vegna was strong, they didn't need more magic. They could eat Kitty Candy to heal, for all he cared. He had no idea what all these... strange memories, and fear-inducing nostalgic thoughts were, but he knew that if he let someone dive into him, they would see the cause before even he did, and that scared him... terrified him.
Noaah let out a shaky breath as he walked out of the Dive Shop, smiling to the little Teru girl before he did so. He walked out into the streets, looking around, and started to walk a bit. Everything was always so busy and rowdy, even after the A.B.R. attack. It was kind of comforting to know there was so much noise and so much people; if anything happened, at least he knew someone would notice it and intervene, right?
Noaah eventually came upon what looked like a restaurant, with a funny name he couldn't pronounce. He hesitantly stepped towards it, opening the door, which jingled a small bell. Immediately, a girl, dressed in a lolita-type maid's outfit, skipped over to him, smiling. "Hello there~! For take out or a sit down?" she asked, almost too cheerily. Noaah timidly looked at her, unsure of what to say, but he noticed someone sitting a table a little farther in the room. Vegna... "I'll be eating here... with him, over there." He said, nodding in the other male's direction. "Ooh, how romantic~! Two patrons falling in love at our humble little restaurant, forever bound by the delicious food this cutesy little maid serves them~! Kya~~!!"
"N-NO!! I-It's... i-it's not like... t-tha--" But before Noaah could explain himself, the girl was skipping off, leading him towards the table, as followed behind her, his cheeks flaming pink. He sat down at the table, still terribly embarassed, and looked up for a second, noticing that the table was covered in empty plates, nothing but crumbs and specks left. "W-Wow, you... ate all that?" he asked, looking at Vegna."Sure. Diving makes me hungry. And it's not like I can gain weight or anything; with all the travelling we'll be doing, it'll burn up the calories in an hour, tops." He took a last bite of the giant strawberry banana sundae he'd ordered, letting out a soft sigh, before moving it aside, looking at Noaah. "You know I'll have to dive again sooner or later, right?" "I know... just, not now. I'm not ready... No offense, I like you and all, but you've already proven to me that you're not exactly... Someone I'd like to see so far into me. You're kind of really mean to me, and you'd probably mock me for the rest of my life about everything you'd see..." It was hard for Noaah, already to just open up and tell him the truth about how he felt towards Vegna. His cheeks were tinted pink, but one could tell he was being serious.Vegna "Alright, tell ya' what... Since we're partners and all, I won't dive into you... We'll each wait for a Vanguard or someone we feel more comfortable around, alright? If worse comes to worse, by the time we get to know each other, we'll Dive into one another, alright?" He watched as Noaah nodded his head, and he smiled, nodding as well. "Good. Until then, I guess, we'll have to rely on Rhaplanca's song magic, since Ishira seems to be getting close enough to dive into her."
"Excuse me, master... That'll be 13,000 leaf." Vegna looked at her with dead eyes, before he sighed softly. "I knew food couldn't possibly be free..."

Gannon… 
Gannon decided to wait outside when Mana dragged the other two girls into the shop with her. "Probably fer the best..." While he waited for them, he stopped in the item shop across the road to pick up a few things. If there were Reyvateils after them, there was one thing in particular he wanted. It would be hard to sing when a smoke bomb went off at your feet... After making his purchase, he went back to stand outside the outfitters. Soon, he saw Miko rush out of the building looking rather upset. Shaking his head, he entered the outfitters to see what had happened. He head Mana's excuse and thought there was more to it than that, but didn't say anything. Instead, his eyes were drawn to the Reyvateil. He had to admit, she didn't look half bad with her hair down. "Well, would ya look at that. She makes ya look like a puddle of mud, eh, Mana?"

"Jerk wad! I'm gunna smack you for that one!" Mana growled after kicking him in the shin. "Okay, I'll just pretend you didn't say that." She turned back to Hikari and smiled. "See? I told you. You look cute. Of course, this guy's opinion doesn't really count," Mana said, frowning. "He's the type of perv that would be likely to hump a tree if he got in the mood. Hmm..." Her expression turned thoughtful for a moment. "Well, take it from me, then. You look good." She turned back to Gannon. "Are we ready to get outta here yet?"

Hikari~
Hikari watched them both and a small smile couldn't help but show up. Watching them both, and just being with them, she felt like she belonged somewhere. And not just as a pawn or merchandise. Hikari hoped somewhere deep down that their time together would never end. She knew that it would sooner or later, and she would be alone once again. It was selfish of her, to want to entwine herself with their lives simply because they were the only people who treated her as a person and not just a tool, but she couldn't help it.
Suddenly, the color drained from her face and she fell forward onto Gannon. Shakily, she pushed back from him. "S-sorry... I-I think I'm a little tired, or something... I didn't mean to fall on you." NEVER MEANT... TO EXIST...Her head was feeling fuzzy by now, and she felt like thousands of voices were filling her mind. She thought for a moment she might lose control and collapsed into him yet again. Hikari shook her head in an attempt to clear it. "...sorry." She mumbled, pulling away from him again and stumbling back.

"H-hey, you okay there, Hikari? You look really pale. You feeling sick or something?" Mana glanced at the Reyvateil worriedly. She put her hand on Hikari's forehead. "You feel a little warm," she fretted. "Maybe we should spend the night here. Or at least get some medicine for you before we continue."

Ishira stood with vigor, "Alright!" he cheered, excited for food. Yue returned to his shoulder from his resting place on the counter, "Oh so you think I'll buy you a round?" he teased, "Fat chance, traitor," he pretend to ignore poor Yue. The little beast played the cute card as his eyes welled up and he cried, "nyuu..uu," Ishira looked over with a grin, "Aw who could say no to that face," he said as he scooped up Yue in his arms and cuddled him, "You're spoiled you know that?" he cooed to a happy Yue.Rhaplanca
Rhaplanca giggled at their show but noticed Noaah's absence.
"Looks like Noaah went after Vegna," she noted, "Let's head to a restaurant until we meet up with them at the shrine. I'm sure they can find plenty to do in this city as we can," she smiled, "I would really like some sweets," She laughed embarrassed about her guilty pleasure. Yue let out a conquering, "Nyu nyu!""Don't forget to pay the shopkeep!" the little girl chimed, "You had a successful dive so that'll be 75 leaf!" she held out her hands in a bowl shape. "75 leaf?" Ishira sighed as he reached into his pocket and paid the girl, "Alright, let's get a move on then," he said as he led Rhaplanca outside.""Thank you for the business!" she cheered.  75 leaf? It's so cheap to dive here... Rhaplanca scanned the nearby restaurant titles but didn't see anything see liked, rather anything that had to do with a cafe, "You don't have and pastry cafes do you?" she pouted. Ishira was busy browsing the shops as well, "We do but it's a little ways off..." Ishira halted in step when he saw Miko outside of a shop. He grabbed for Rhaplanca's hand, "Hey wait up for a second I want you to meet someone. She's a childhood friend," Ishira led Rhaplanca over to Miko, "Hey Miko!" He greeted his friend, "I was worried you'd left by now. I'd like you to meet Rhaplanca," he introduced them, "She's the Reyvateil that asked me to be her vanguard," he smiled "It's really nice to meet you," she was not embarrassed to meet a friend of Ishira's, only that he had introduced them while holding her hand. Her heart fluttered.
"Miko is it? That's a really pretty name," she complimented with a smile.

I suppose... I should try to be nicer to her. What is it about her...? Is it misplaced frustration at my sister? Miko sighed and stared down at her feet when she heard Ishira and was startled out of her thoughts. "O-oh! Ishira! I thought that you were leaving?" She was quiet as he explained and introduced Rhaplanca to her. "Really?" She smiled gently. "You're very kind to say that and it's a pleasure to meet you." It was then she noticed the two holding hands and her own face reddened a bit, suddenly having a brief vision of their dive that took place not too long ago. She cleared her throat and looked away, feeling ashamed for prying, even if she couldn't control her power. "Believe it or not, I found my sister," she said to Ishira, changing the subject. "And that boy, Gannon, too. I didn't recognize him without his horns, though." Glancing at Rhaplanca once again, she said softly, "You both are different..." Then shook her head. "Sorry, um... see, my sister came back on a mission to guard a Reyvateil as well. Although I don't know the specifics since I just ran into both her and Gannon a few hours ago."
