Zane Bladechild Nobody Pulling out the chair, and spinning it so he would sit sideways, Zane sat down. ' My name is Zane. It's the name my father gave me, and I've stuck by it my whole life.' Now that he was closer, the tea smelled even stronger to him, and he drank a bit more of his milk. ' So, where did you go, to have a welcome home such as this?' He looked around a bit, and spied a pretty little thing up by the bar, probably waiting for a drink. Yeah, like that'll ever happen. He laughed a moment, and then returned to his conversation with Kenta.

Kenta ran the word around his mouth for a minute, "Zane... interesting. Oh sorry I tend to get lost in thought." He laughed a little, "I own a shop here it's as good of a home as I can call one. I had to leave on business. It seems there was a tie to my past that came up and I went to investigate." He explained, "I don't know a lot of people but it's alright by me."

Zane Bladechild Nobody Zane nodded. He understood when things could come up. Though, he wouldn't have that problem anymore... ' Understandable, Kenta. However, it looks like we're being watched. That lass up there, by the bar. Don't look too obviously, though. She's staring over here.' He made no movements to indicate he noticed her watching, however his words were somewhat hushed, to make sure she would not hear him over the din of the tavern.

OOC: Time for me to break this epilogue of me being non-literate neh? BIC: Kenta would not in truth answer the man. Nor would he look over at the observer he had not noticed. He sipped on his tea again. The strong pungent flavor tickling his tongue and the heat warming his throat. His other hand was on the table already which would give him an advantage in any situation. This allowed him to remain calm in any event and still be completely armed without appearing as such. The tip of his cup would come down so some of the tea was within still mainly the leaves and herbs at the bottom remained. His eyes glided the cup as it was set upon the table.
Kenta looked at the man calmly. "So you where betting with a woman here last night?" He said as if to ignore the previous statement. It was a hint hopefully the other would catch upon. The female for all he knew could read lips. If so than the whole plan was for naught but rather the conversation be about something embarrassing so that the woman would have an understanding of why they dropped the tone. Kenta watched to see if Zane picked up on the que. "You don't have to hide it. In fact it's almost obvious the way you've been carrying yourself. So did you win or loose?"

Zane Bladechild Nobody Thankfully, Zane picked up on what Kenta was trying to say. ' Oh, I won a couple, missed a couple. Of course, that was before we moved the betting game back to my room, though.' With that, he winked, and laughed for a second. It was the first time he'd laughed in days, no weeks. Ever since his father had been killed, he'd been unable to hardly crack a warm smile, but here he was, making dirty jokes in a tavern. Maybe this will be easier than I thought...

Kenta smiled and laughed with the boy. Although it wasn't very heartfelt but it was a decent laugh. He glanced around the bar for a minute to finally note the woman looking at them. He winked at her as if not knowing who she was since she was staring at him. He then looked the rest of the way around and turned back sipping more of his tea.

Zane Bladechild Nobody Zane had finished his milk, and for a moment, he glanced sidelong at the bar where the woman was standing. Hmm... Maybe she could be useful. Then again, I'm probably overstepping my boundaries again. He grunted, burping slightly from his milk, and then stood up. ' Well, Kenta, I think I should take my leave for now. It's time I started looking for some work, or at least something that doesn't involve my sitting at a bar and drinking.' He stood up, ready to leave.

Kenta nodded and sipped on the tea a bit more. He had not yet planned on leaving but would rather sit there and enjoy some tea.

Such intense heat... is there no place for releaf? The thought seemed to echo around in her head where it became impossible to get it out entirely. Her muzzle was hanging open, her tongue dry as she panted, her large pads seeking all the shade she could find as she moved down the street. All the buildings seemed to look the same and she found that it was becoming increasingly easy to get lost in this place where there was no shade from the midday sun. The powerful rays simply beaming straight down on the earth and with the location of the sun not even the smallest sliver of a shadow was falling onto the sidewalks or streets. Quite a miserable place to live if you ask me. She seemed to mutter between her echoing thought.
The heat was starting to make her get edgy as she trodded ahead, her pace had slowed since when she started, her head began to hang as she barely lifted her feet for each step. There wasn't any grass, no trees, no green at all. She was beginning to feel almost like she was in a prison, a laberynth that she could not escape from as she turned another corner, only to find the same result, more buildings, no exits.
Finally she had to come to a stop. Looking about, she tried to lick her nose to moisten it ever so slightly to increase her sense of smell, but with a dry tongue and mouth the effort was in vain. She noticed the door to one place ajar as she trotted forward, poking her head in, using her muzzle to open the door slightly more.
The room was hot, mostly due to the day's heat, but also because of the occupants in the room to begin with as well but it was dark. Taking a hesitant step in forward she looked about, mostly the people were just talking, but she saw what she had been looking for. They were all drinking. There had to be water here, though a mixture of smells seemed to hit her snout. Some bitter, some sweet, some foul altogether.
Her eyes darted about the room as she gave a wide birth for those occupants in the place, heading towards where all the liquids seemed to be coming from in the first place as she peeked around the tall and seemingly endless table, her eyes only falling upon rows and shelves of unopened bottles and empty glasses.

"All I need is one moment... Just one moment... Tavian Yakuri "Raven" Evil - Chaotic Nobody
Followed by finishing his groggy drink and taking a look or two at the crowd that had formed, within moments, Tavian was up - and - out of the tavern. Nothing he wanted to see found its way into the bar. And he feared it would never do so. And he was off, after that. ... to complete the genocide... and restore my clan." [Exit]

I do not fight; I heal and I save lives, I am grateful for the gifts I have been blessed with, for it is with those very gifts that I shall restore the health of others. Perstephone Solaris walked into the tavern, a small satchel on her back and a genuine smile on her face. There was a nice crowd here... maybe she would be getting some selling done. And if not, she would enjoy a nice drink before heading back out into the sweltering heat. Maybe it wasn't so hot to others, but as a snow elf, she reserved the right to feel hot all the time.
Steffi smiled again, approaching two men (Zane and Kenta) that didn't seem to be having any kind of conversation (her ears picked up more than one would assume). They seemed like adequate customers, perhaps in need of some herbs or potions for their ailments, of which she could see none, but nonetheless... she headed over to their table despite the fact that the darker of the two seemed just about ready to leave.
"Hello there," she said, years of saying the same lines making her seem genuine and comfortable. "Could it be that either of you are in need of some healing herbs? Or perhaps some other flora to brighten up your day? Or maybe you would like to indulge in some exotic teas? Name what it is you need and I should be sure to have it, if not here then outside on my pushcart." She bowed her head slightly in respect. Please...

Nobody seemed to pay any attention to the wolf as she moved behind the counter. It seemed to shield her by casting a shadow over her mostly white-furr covered body. The floor was a bit cool beneath her purple-padded paws as she panted, her long, pink tongue hanging out as she licked her noise, trying to moisten it but to no avail.
Moving forward, the shelve were rather clean, no sign of dust or cobwebs as she moved her nose through, giving a sniff through the shelves, trying to find something that would attract her as she passed the empty glasses and moved to the bottles, she had no way to open those but she could always try.
Stepping forward, she slid her muzzle against the bottle, pushing it off the shelf as it fell to the floor, but it didn't break, didn't even crack as she seemed to give a little frown, her tail falling as she moved to the neck one, reaching her forleg forward this time as she used her paw to knock the next bottle off the shelf.
This time she had better success, it fell and gave a bit of a crash to the floor as it cracked, some of the odd-colored liquid began to ooze out as she gave it a sniff before withdrawing her head. It certainly smelled odd, it was definately not water, but a liquid was a liquid right?
Her tail gave a little wag of glee as she leaned her head down, licking up the spilled contents that began to form a puddle on the floor. However, it only took her a couple licks to taste the bitterness of the contents she had spilled as she withdrew, lifting her head as she gave a little snort in disgust, licking the air and her muzzle, as if that would help give the bitter taste off her tongue.

Seems the foul smell did indeed match the taste of the alcohol she had unknowingly spilled. She was a bit naive to the ways of the two-legged, you could say. Of course, it was lucky enough that the foul flavor that seemed to stay on her tongue was enough to drive her away. Alcohol was, in itself, dehydrating, the exact opposite of what she need.
Even the bartender seemed completely oblivious to the mess she had created but that was of little concern to her as she gave a soft whimper. Why was it so foul? Yet the smell filled her nostrils--stinging them by it's potencency. Everyone seemed to be drinking something of the likes of what she had to pass up.
Turning, her long purple-tinted claws clacking against the hardwooden floors beneath her paws as she retreated. It seems what she thought would be possibly helpful turned out to be just another dead end.
Disgruntantly, she moved out of the pathway, passing by tables, petty conversations going on about her ears as she seemed to ignore them, letting their meaningless words pass unnoticed as she trotted out the door.
