Beldaran-Kitaka I believe I'm the best in my section, but when I get in high school next year, no doubt Andy will kick muh butt. XD I really don't like saying that I'm the best,(Because I know I'm not) because it is indeed true, someone will always be better than you. XD There's always a bigger fish.

I've always been first chair in my section since the sixth grade. In Region tryouts this year, as a freshman, I got 6th out of about 40 high school flute players, beating most of the upperclassmen and all the freshmen. whee

In my section as of right now, yes. I am first chair, section leader and all that fun stuff.
There are people who are better at certain stuff, but as a flute player, I am the best in my section.
I'm good. But not better than a lot of people that have come before me.

My band director treats me somewhat differently than he does other members (in a good way) & well, I'm a good flutist, but I'm not so sure that I'm the best. I've had compliments, though. : D~

I always have been. Some people tend to look at me wierd. Like some of the seniors are jealous because I'm a sophmore; but what I have comes a lot naturally. They tend to piss me off to. I told off one once...

'till I started playing bass clarinet, I was 2nd fish, but it was only because the big fish was taking private lessons up the but and I was only going off of natural talent. I didn't ever practice outside of class, and to this day only practice a little bit. If I had private lessons, I would have been top dog, and would now be a music major. But alas, I switched to bass clarinet from clarinet, I never took lessons, rarely practiced outside of class, and was still on her coattails, lighten a fire on her but.
I was better than her in the end. this was proven when I had to play clarinet for a week while my bass was in the shop, and I was sight reading her music as well as she was playing it, (she had 2 months of practice on it) AND I CAN'T SIGHT READ WORTH CRAP!

I'm a great tuba player! ^.^ No doubt, but there's always my section leader who is better (and really scary since he's joining the military) than all the tubas. I'm tied for third or fourth if I really had to put it like that.

Out of both of the high schools i've been too (I'm a junior right now) I've been the best tenor sax player there. I kind of laugh about it to my friends and brag about it to certain people but I know there are people with better skills than me.

Oh-Me-Gooshness (yes, goosh), yes! Thanks to my lovely friend who quite band for Spanish xD. But my band director doesn't really expect more from me, sicne he really doesn't talk to people in private or singularly, unless there's gum chewing, handing back stuff, etc. I smile whenever i say I'm 1st Chair. So I'll probably say it a lot. So just ignore me.

I wish. crying
The "first chair" (we don't really have chairs, but she plays first part) bassoon is so much better than I could ever hope to be.

I am section leader, first chair, and a bunch of other stuff (nevermind the fact that I'm the only oboe in the entire district!) For a few practical purposes, I am considered part of the flute section, and I am not ashamed to say I am a better musician than most of them (there are six, and the first chair is insanely talented. Everyone else: meh.) Yesm, I said flute section. I think it's a bit retarded to put the oboe in the clarinet section. Personally (and maybe I'm just wierd) I think it's easier to transpose octaves than less-than octaves, because you don't have to worry about key signature changes and stuff.
