"Kenta-chan you worry. It makes Chrissy sad."
The familiar voice chirped gently as a burst of wind carried her intoxicatingly sweet voice through the kitsune's ears. It sounded concered and loving. Chrissy, however, was nowhere to be found. The wind had kept her scent unable to settle in one specific place, making it difficult for Kenta to even remotely guess where she was hiding. Not that she was actually trying to hide from him, but Chrissy felt like keeping her spot a secret for the time being. She didn't wish to disturb Kenta if he was in an intense discussion with another. That would be really rude.
"Keno-san is difficult, I know. No reason to dwell on it, ne."
Another gentle wind brushed through the Darkwood, again carrying her voice along with it. Kenta could assume the wind was being created because the wind came only when Christiania spoke, drifting away as soon as she finished speaking. He woiuld be correct as well. Chrissy had gone off to train with her elemental abilities she had only discovered a few months previous, and has grown rather skilled; especially with her wind element. Clever, huh?

Miss Chrissy sounded much younger now than she would. As he listened to her, Kenta wondered to himself what would happen between now and later that changed her into the person he would know. Something relatively important he had to guess, but the last time he asked a personal question, he ended up stepping over a few too many boundaries so he kept it to himself. Besides, something else had dawned on him as she spoke.
"Miss Chrissy, why are you better at wind control than anything else?" As he turned to look toward her, the hem of his hakama brushed along the woodland floor, his eyes, hidden by the darkness of the forest, scanning the area. He knew exactly where she was at for various reasons. In order to be safe though, he was paying more attention to her life signature than anything else, but even wind, when it covered up tracks, created others.
The question he asked was pretty dangerous because he thought she might respond negatively again. Her skill at wind control was undeniably good, but to Kenta, who was very aware of Miss Chrissy's relationship to his father, he was suspicious as to why her proficiency seemed to stray toward the same field as the feline's. Of course, it could be simple coincidence. The wind was much like a bo staff he was told - easy to learn, hard to master. Miss Chrissy might just be better at it now because the basics were simpler to grasp. Sparking fires or extracting water, which was more in line with Miss Pith's work, was more difficult he understood.

"Because, Kenta-chan, it's more fun!!"
She giggled flippantly, watching him with her large turqoise eyes. She could tell he could see her. His eyes were easily spotted in the darkness, but she didn't really care. it was time to say hello anyway. Two vectors swung lazily from he shoulderblades, collapsing onto the earth beneath her, keeping her body suspended in mid-air. She hung like a rag doll as she was thrown carelessly towards the floor a bright smile on her face. Instantly, only a few inches from the ground, her vectors jerked upward, allowing her to land on her feet gently. Her hand flounced on ehr shoulders as she stared at Kenta wide-eyed and content.
"Kenta-chan!"
Her muscular arms coiled around his torso, hugging him lovingly. She was rather gorgeous this evening. In a tight, form-fitting baby blue shirt that showed off the modest six-pack and her belly-button ring with a glittering cherry dangling on the metal. Her jeans were black denim, clinging to every inch of her toned, curvacious legs. Truely would make any male drool at the sight of her. The turqoise strands of hair hung wildly around her face from the inccident of falling, though she appeared ruggedly sensual. Around her eyes was a heavier green eyeshadow with a black eyeliner accenting it. It was the reason her eyes glowed in the shadows of the night. Her feet were bare, blooding, but didn't bother her too much. She never even noticed them.
"It has been awhile, ne."

The boy could not help but chuckle at the sight of Miss Chrissy. Although, admittedly, she was stunning and better dressed for the night life of some thriving metropolis than for a stroll in the woods, it did nothing for him. She, among a list of others, would play fellow matriarchs in his life, puzzle pieces of his father's existence in a sense - he left a pretty good effect on them anyway. Despite her youth and figure in this time, she was still like family to him.
He hugged her gleefully, never being one to deny himself or his family the joy of affection. She was not as soft as she appeared anymore. Her training was starting to show itself. It was good to know that she was, in the end, her own warrior, although he wasn't too sure he believed she had taken a liking to air manipulation out of entertainment.
"Hisashiburi," he greeted in his father's native tongue. He knew he didn't look it due to his mother's blood and his father's mutation, but he was still half-Japanese. The least he could do was learn the language. "I'm sorry to start complaining after not seeing you in months. It's truly very rude of me. Have you been well?"

Her face buried into his neck affectionately, holding back a sneeze that was corrupting her sense of smell. Both eyes squeezed shut as she pulled away at lightening speed to sneeze away from Kenta. The blow was stronger than anticipated and nearly knocked her off her feet. Mastering air manipulation was indeed entertainment for her, but it did have its drawbacks she had realized. The force of the sneeze caused the loose topsoil to blow backward a few feet and sent a few critter of the dark scuttling in fear. Chrissy pulled out a tissue and wipped her nose, blinking apologetically. "Gomenasai earth." She muttered softly, turning her attention back to the young man.
Kenta had certainly grown since they had last seen eachother. She smiled brilliantly, gazing at his features innocently. Indeed he appeared different, though she couldn't put a finger on why. He didn't truely have any manjor differences about his appearence, yet something had changed. It befuddled the diclonius. Her feet began dragging gracefully across the earth, her eyes searching for the answer to his question. Again, as she assumed, nothing appeared different. Why in the world did he seem so...different? Ugh so confusing!! Her lips habitually curled into a frown, but she forcefully pulled htem back into a loving smile. No worries, she would ask in due time.
"Oh Kenta, don't apologize. You've seen me in worse conditions. I don't want you to feel like you can't complain to me, ne!!"
She giggled as if the past had no affect on her anymore. Christiania had grown mentally, and she enjoyed showing it off to anyone who would pay attention to it. Months of trainging alone did her wonders, and even though she was still weakling in her own ways, she wasn't a baby anymore. This gave her more confidence which she exuded. Both hands lingered on Kenta's shoulder before withdrawing itno her own bubble, watching him silently with the same innocent smile clinging to her sparkling lips.

He started at the force of her sneeze. Clearly, Miss Chrissy was still in training, but at least she wasn't playing with fire.Kenta laughed to himself at the thought of a sneeze charring the dark forest. As for himself, he'd never be able to do anything like that since he had opted to stay as far away from air manipulation and magic as possible. It helped that his father would be too stubborn to teach him anyway. Kenta was expected to grow into his own person, something he felt ambivalently about for it made him an individual, but it also was a source of irritation.
As she looked at him, the boy couldn't help but feel a bit...awkward. For whatever reason, she was examining him, and although her eyes weren't craving him or even judging him, it was disconcerting to be under the microscope so to speak. He didn't complain or voice his unease however, out of politeness for his elders...or would be elders anyway. Miss Chrissy looked as though she had something on her mind, but she didn't say anything and he decided not to pursue it prematurely.
When she finally replied, he smiled softly, his eyes hollow with affection and distress. He tried not to dwell so much, but being around these people, he couldn't help but to want to complain more and more. At the same time, he knew no one enjoyed a crybaby; his own father refused to tolerate Kenta acting any younger than a 19 year old boy should.
"Well I do thank you for listening to me, but I didn't come here to complain really. I wanted answers, but now that I've arrived, I don't know how to ask them. Ironic isn't it?"

She noticed the awkward sensation rippling through his person, and Christiania grew a bit awkward herself. She had no interest in Kenta as she felt as if they were nearly brother and sister, but she never noticed people feeling so around her. Perhaps it was because they were too stunned by her looks to take into account why she was looking at them in the first place. It made her chuckle internally. Still, a slight desire to explain herself crawled into her lips, and before she really though about it, her voice was caressing the wind once more.
"Sorry for staring, Kenta. You just...look different. I can't put my finge ron it or anything, but something is different. I was only trying to see what it was."
Her hands were thrown into the air as a sign of giving up. She was confused no doubt, ut it wasn't the end of the world. She, instead, turned her attention back to Kenta who seemed to be fighting his urge to converse with her about whatever was bothering him. This upset her and it was a bit more plain on her face now. She stared at him worriedly, a hand lifting to caress his face. Her thumb massaged the skin of his cheek as she watched him with the same expression. Chrissy didn't think this intimate or anything of the sort. Couldn't a girl touch a guy without anyone thinking they were in love?
"Kenta...don't feel that way. There is always a silver lining!"

After her explanation, Kenta felt a little better about her prying eyes, but it was still disconcerting nonetheless. He personally didn't feel any different, but people changed all the time, and only really thought about it when someone else brought it up. In his case, the young kitsune was no different, but he couldn't be entirely sure that he had changed in one way or another since he arrived.
"Well, I wish I knew, but I don't feel particularly different so," he eyes strayed away from her gaze, more out of politeness than anything else. "I suppose it's possible. It I stayed the same, I'd be a rather boring person wouldn't I?" He laughed nervously as he spoke, unsure of what to actually say to that. Were it not for the fact that she was giving him an inquisitive look, he might have just remained.
"A silver lining?" It was all he could think to ask at the moment, because he was unable to see anything so great about his current situation.

"Well, I'm sure you'll find all your answers...Keno is just naturally mysterious ne."
She winked, retracting her hand. Chrissy had no intention of making Kenta feel uncomfortable. It would only make her uncomfortable, and then they would be in a big uncomfortable fest. Fun. Even if they had no intimate feelings, she guessed a girl couldn't touch a guy without something being awkward. Even though Christiania had gornw up significantly, she was still rather touchy feely with others, and it never occurred to her that most people don't like the affectionate touch of her lips or hands. The hand swept back her bangs, getting a full on look at Kenta. She smiled.
"You've never been a boring person, Kenta. Sometimes change isn't always for the best you know??" Her words were sincere and sweet, a flippant giggle excaping her lips as she said this. However, his laugh made her frown slightly. He was holding so much back from her, and she wished to help him so badly. The diclonius permitted one vector to slip from the realm of her back to brush away a few strands of hair that were falling across his forehead. Her lips pursed at his doubtful restatement. People were so pessimistic nowadays! She shook her head, tutting him humoursly before throwing her arms open and nodding furiously.
"Of course a silver lining!! How do you thin people live?! They have to be optimistic or they go bonkers!" The childish antics spewed from her mouth as if she were absolutely astonished that Kenta didn't understand this concept of life. Chrissy had to be optimistic forever and always. The only way she survived her life was living by that concept. It saved her life many a time, and she was a firm believer in it.

"Oh," he said as though he had only just understood what Miss Chrissy meant. The fact that she seemed to upset only inspired the words, but fortunately, he actually meant it. He'd have pretended to know what was going on though if it meant she wouldn't be angry with him. As it stood though, he wasn't looking for optimism. He could easily argue in favor of the way his father reared him, but the problem wasn't Kenta's coming up.
"How do you do it?" he asked sincerely. From the moment he was born, Miss Chrissy was one of the women always there with him, and when he thought about it, she very rarely got upset about anything. It was a bit unnerving sometimes, but she seemed to be truly happy with her life as it was. Since she never complained, how could anyone else? Conversely, if all Kenta did was complain, how could anyone else not?
"I think that I really do envy it, but...I can't be happy with everything the way you can. Maybe if I could, things would be different...but I digress. You said my father was naturally mysterious, but I don't see that here. Jade Ba-chan and Satomi Ba-chan seem to understand him quite well. Even User gets him in a way no one else does, but you call him mysterious. how well do you know him Miss Chrissy?"

He wasn't a very good liar. Chrissy could see through the fake understanding easily, but she let it be. There was no reaosn to be angry with him for not, and she knew many people who couldn't see life the way she had for her entire life; likewise, she couldn't comprehend people who lived otherwise. Still, she was not about to reject his way of living or anyone else's no matter how befuddling it may be to the diclonius. She pressed her lips to his cheek affectionately, leaving them there for a few seconds before pulling away and watching him with her large, glistening cerulean eyes. So like his father.
"How do I?..." This question caught her off gaurd, and Chrissy blinked several times to gain that thought. How did she do it? Her vectors slid from her back, perching themselves in such a way that the diclonius could sit. She lowered herself into the rather comfortable seat created, and stared at Kenta intently as she thought. A hint of crimson slithered through her iris, but it disappeared as qucikly as it appeared: Chrissy did not notice. "All my life...I have been around nothing but cruelty and pessimism," she was taking her time with the words, thinking hard about every one she spoke. "I could have simply killed myself as the same feelings encased my own mind, but...but...I didn't want to die, Kenta-kun. The only way I know how to live is through optimism. I have to see the good in others, or at least believe in it. That's how I survived the institution, and how I survive day by day." Chrissy never discussed the institution as it brought horrible memories around, but she felt it necessary for Kenta to understand. She was sure he had been told of her childhood probably by his father, and so, she refused to talk about it; he needed to hear it though.
"Your father has always been mysterious to me no matter how well I know him, " she retorted gently, smiling in the darkness. "That is how our relationship is, and I'm sure your father thinks he knows me really well though he doesn't. Don't tell him though." Chrissy winked playfully, chuckling into the silent forest. Yes, Keno sure had an ego with some to spare. "You also forget that Keno-san and I...well, he takes care of me, or took I should say. We don't talk about our lives, and I'm guessing in the future nothing changes." The vectors returned to the shoulderblades, and Chrissy dropped ungracefully to the floor, but she didn't fall!! Chrissy giggled innocently flicking a strand of her hair away from her face as she looked expectantly at Kenta. If he didn't understand, he didn't.

It was interesting, to say the least, how Miss Chrissy had lived her life. To be surrounded by that much negativity would surely have driven Kenta to his wit's end, and he would likely be driven to suicide, homicide, or even genocide were he forced to endure it. For some reason though, she had convinced herself to see the sunny side of a dark world in a way opposite to the young kitsune's own method of looking at the environment he lived in.
More importantly, at least to him, was the issue of his father. It seemed to Miss Chrissy that his father was naturally a man of smoke and mirrors. He personally couldn't accept that, because to him at least, it seemed that the mysterious would only frustrate everyone it got in contact with. Sentient beings, above all else, wanted to figure things out. If the people of Orion truly didn't get Kenta's father, would they still bother with him as they did? As he listened, the boy found himself naturally drawn to Miss Chrissy, and even though she was sitting down, he pulled her to her feet, very elegantly, like he was in a trance, and held her in a firm, hugging, embrace.
It appeared that his frustration was mounting, and being spoiled to some degree, he held on to her childishly, stubbornly refusing to let go. Unfortunately for him, it appeared he would learn nothing from Miss Chrissy that he didn't already know. He didn't blame her, but he was a bit upset about it nonetheless.
He had accepted what she said, though he wasn't sure he could agree to it in the end. Exhausted mentally and unstable as he was, he simply let go and backed away. Someone so young at heart and ever happy with her life...maybe she understood better than he did. Then again, maybe she didn't get it at all. He couldn't tell, but he had to move on to lighter things, or just leave her and keep to himself.
"You smell pretty by the way. You always will I guess."

She stood with him, chuckling lightly as he gripped her in the embrace. Chrissy didn't know the future, but she assumed he did this often around her because she didn't mind his closeness in the least presently. Her languid arms wrapped around him, pulling him closer to her curvacious body. Her eyes shut, and for a moment there was perfect silence. The diclonius, once he let go, had the most peaceful and relaxed expression only making her more beautiful. Kenta was spoiled just as his father was when it came to her. She found it amusing the way they both acted around her. A beautiful girl untouchable for two different reasons. The female never got over that idea, and she giggled inwardly at it.
"Are we like this in the future, Kenta-kun?" She toyed, shifting her body so it would bump into his. Chrissy was a completely different person around Kenta. In a way, he was just like her when she first arrived in Orion. Too sensitive. But he was too complicated for Chrissy as well. The simplest answers were not good enough for him, and he always made things difficult. Chrissy loved him though, and she accepted his personality. He was a good guy all around in her eyes. A finger brushed against his cheek, her smile still intact.
Smell pretty? The diclonius blinked, lifting her arm to smell herself. When did she ever smell nice? "You moron. As diclonius we have a naturally appealing scent. How the hell do you think I rope in all those human males?" Astraea muttered in discontent as the echoey voice in Chrissy's mind. She sighed, nodding in agreement at being reminded at what she really was, feeling nauseous as she usually did. She lowered her eyes for a second, gnawing on her bottom lip. No matter how much she changed, Christiania was still a monster, and the idea of letting go of her self-control any second maddened her. Still, she reutrned her gaze to Kenta, appearing as if nothing had gone on, and smiled. "Thanks."

Why was she giggling? He must have done something to amuse her, but most people didn't laugh at hugs, and at this particular moment, Kenta failed to see the humor in this particular event. For all it was worth though, it was a nice hug. She always gave nice hugs. Only his aunts and mother could match it.
"We will be, yes," he said with a smile as he looked her curiously. Maybe it was because their age difference wasn't nearly as great in this time, but she seemed to be a bit more liberal with him than he remembered. Certainly at no point in the future did he remember...there was no point in thinking on it too much. He honestly didn't mind too much. Miss Chrissy was always cute, which reminded him of something very funny he would do earlier in his life, but he decided to let it be a secret.
His smile at these memories collapsed when she lifted her arm to smell herself. It certainly wasn't the reaction he had anticipated. For all the compliment was worth, it had obviously brought up more than the desired thoughts to her mind. Miss Chrissy certainly had it worse he realized, but it was interesting to see how many things about her and around her forced her back to that time she seemed to hate so much. For her sake though, he continued to smile at her and said very softly, "You're welcome."
"Uhm, would you like to go somewhere else? I'm all for hanging out in the woods, but it isn't a great deal of fun."

"But the forest is so peaceful, Kenta-kun. The enjoyment is just in listening to the life surrounding you..." her voice trailed off, realizing he didn't really care or wouldn't. He wasn't as into nature and silence as she was, and Chrissy could survive without it. She figured it was because the institution was so enclosed and claustrophobic, Chrissy didn't feel so suffocated whens he was inside buildings. It was the exact opposite of that Hellhole. Still, she wouldn't argue with Kenta because it was a silly argument easily avoided. So, Chrissy nodded contently, lacing her fingers between his as they started walking.
However, as they walked briskly towards the edge of the forest, Chrissy stopped abruptly. A goofy smile erupted on her face as she turned her eyes to gaze into Kenta's. "I think it'd be better if we knew where we were going," she teased not releasing her hold on Kenta's hand. She knew they were good friends in the future, and he was cute. Chrissy never saw anything wrong with body contact between friends. Even after living in the real world for so long, the diclonius loved contact. The heat of someone else's body next to her, touching her in any possible way. She just felt safe, and it was a nice feeling for her.
