i have 3 and my mom sayes if i make it into Jazz band that i will get anotheron razz i have 2 step ups and 1 student horn, but that's not important, at my school we all name our instumentts, my 1st horn the student horn Olivia, the second one the 1st silver step up i got was named Jewl, and finally my newest and favoretest horn is Rose she was hand made in Germany i love her( she has a rose on her which was the insperation for the name : razz ) so now i am going to tell you aout my self i wanna be a freshman sectionleader( crying all the Trumpet sectionleaders at my school are all 12grade sad so i hope when i get into 9th that my band teacher will see that i am ten times better than any of this years Freshmen and all that i really wanna be Sectionleaderso badly i have wanted this more than anything so i hope my teacher lets me try out! wish me luck!

when you are bored to you guys try and play songs from tv and stuff like that? I have ar eally good ear for notes and stuff and Man iw as bored today and the end result...yeah i can now play the theme for the price is right and the lollipop song now lol.

I enjoy playing trumpet, but since I got braces, I'm not that good at it (it's never been my primary instrument). I still love it though.

I only own one trumpet.
It's a Bach Stradivarious No. 87. It was about $2,245.45.
... yes I remembered da price.
But it's a good trumpet. Im in High School, n my last trumpet didnt have a great sound (it was about 4 years old n a strange Brand). But this new one is awesome!!!
P.S. Braces do mess up your sound a LOT! I used to have em, but they just got taken off last yr in like march (luckily right B4 UiL concert competition!!!

Hey, I need some advice.
See, I need to improve my tone really badly.
Well, Im good at my trumpet, but I'm not completely extreamly awesome.
I really need to improve. Im a Sophmore in high school (starting on da 24th) n Im second best oin my section.
....First is this stuck-up Junior (starting this school yr) that has played tons of instruments, but when all da trumpet seniors left last yr, he figured he'd take over da fish (me and three other trumpets). My section leader left me as da new leader, but he came in, sucked up to da teacher, and became section leader, cuz he's "more experienced." (and he's hungry for power and da solo this year)
Nobody in the band likes him. He tried out for Drum Major and nobody voted for him.
NEway. I want to be better, cuz he's told me to my face that I'll NEVER surpass him. I want to be be an example for my section and to da band. I have douts that I can beat him, but I know Ive beat him character wise (He only cares for himself, he doesnt even help da freshman, and he's more into ROTC than Band).
So, please give any advice on how you practice or any techniques.

So, please give any advice on how you practice or any techniques. rofl rofl rofl rofl scream Well I start out doing my scales and arpeggios first then I work on slurs from usin g the same valve except its a different note like A-E or BFlat-F B-Fsharp Like that and then I play long a** songs XD and then do my scales and arpeggios again when I am almost done
