The hotsprings were an ideal sort of place for meditation.
This basement sort of floor proved invaluable to the Jedi Knight.
He felt the flow of the Force around him and the heavy air and heat allowed him to sink deeper and deeper into this mystical energy of life.
Until he and the Force were one. And thus, he and the galaxy where one.
This galaxy seemed with wonderful amounts of life. Even more than the life in his massive galaxy.
But... there was an evil, powerful threat in the backdrop, its presence made felt along this entire galaxy. He wondered what it was... but it was so alien, so unknown to him that he could not grasp what it was.
But he could grasp it enough know this being was a product of the Dark Side of the Force and was sheer evil.
There was another being, too. Here on this planet. And what he could concerned him even more. This boy was humanish. And word 'Saiya-jin' popped into his mind. This boy was a wound in the Force. He existed yet he did not. Valin would have never been able to tell if he did not surrounded himself in life.
But this wound was not complete. Small bits of the Force lived in him. But he had cut himself off from its embrace, though. But now, the wound was healing somewhat. Little tiny bits.
However, for the whole, this boy, this 'Saiya-jin', was effectively a wound inside for the Force.
For a Jedi, this was rather shocking. For Valin, losing the Force would be like losing one's eyesight or even all of one's senses. It would be like seeing the world in only black and white rather than all its beautiful glory.
With a jolt, Valin suddenly felt wrapped around in something. It was so sudden, catching Valin off guard completely. It was a trap of the Dark Side and it came from whatever being had been that evil background noise throughout the galaxy.
Valin Lobel found himself face to face with Emperor Palpatine in the ruined Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
The man... if you could call him that, was horribly disfigured and distorted. His face was horribly scarred and indented. And the facial skin itself sagged, as well. All his skin was a corspe gray color, as well. His eyesockets were raw and broken and the eyes inside them were a yellow iris surrounded by a ring of blood red.
Valin looked around to see the bodies of the several great Jedi lying before him. Master Yoda, Master Windu, Master Obi-wan Kenobi, Master Plo Koon, Master Fisto.
And to the Darth Sidious's right stood Anakin Skywalker. Of he might have been at one time. The young man wore horrible black armor, a jet-black cape, and one his chest was a what looked like a control panel for the dark suit that reeked of Sith. But the head was uncovered and long brown hair of Skywalker flowed downwards. But between the locks of hair, the raw eyesockets and yellow eyes of a Sith Lord burned.
So did Skywalker's face, which bursted into flames suddenly, melting the poor boy's face into a twisted lump of flesh. The broken and burned face was then replaced by the helmet that completed the armor of Darth Vader.
Darth Sidious crackled, "The Jedi Order is no more, my boy. All has crumbled before Lord Vader and I. Join me... join me and learn the powers of the Dark Side."
Through the twisted breathing came Vader's machine voice, "Yes, join us and learned the secerts to real power. Not the vaunted power of the Jedi, but true, absolute power."
"No! The Sith are evil! You are evil!" And with a snap-hiss, the Jedi Knight's sliver saber blade came to life.
It didn't matter.
In an instant, Darth Vader was there, stabbing a hole in the heart of Valin, melting it away with his crimson red lightsaber blade.
"You are dead, anyway." Vader hissed, "We will continue to rule the galaxy. Your scarifices are in vain, Lobel. The Jedi Order is gone. You are nothing."
"You. Are. Nothing." Vader finished.
Valin's corspe fell to the ground and he became one with the Force.
The young Jedi Knight opened his eyes with a jolt. He sat there for a moment, feeling dizzy and sick to his stomach. And then he threw up.
It was a nightmare. But these nightmare was all too real. He could smell his own burnt flesh as Vader plung his lightsaber through him.
It was real and it was not real.
Valin wiped his mouth. Such visions in the Force meant one thing. Someone or something in this galaxy had some control of Force and accessed the greatest fears within his heart to toy with him.
But they left no trace and left nothing to find them by.
Valin stood up, his stomach finally calmed enough to move. He went to clean up his mess and then think upon what had happened.
