in Biology, your teacher is explaining
some kind of voodoo equation,
and when she writes, "Bb" and asks
what it is, you shout, "B FLAT!"
... And then get in trouble. = (

you always wake up singing some-kind of music,
either from a show you were watching the night before,
or from one that suited your dream.
I just, just woke up for school.

You know you are a band nerd when you watch TV all you hear is the music and scream out "I know that song we played it in marching band!" and you go on about the song and what was your favorite part or how fun it was until your parents say shut up we know already.

when your bd gives you music and you realize that its some theme from your favorite show and you get all excited and then tell your friend who also loves that show and then kills your buzz by threatening to assassinate the entire band if we mess it up.

You've been in band too long when...
*You remember a drumkey more often than your house key.
*You can sit behind the drumset while someone's playing it and focus on your homework.
*It bothers you when people walking down the hallway are out of step.
*When you're bored during class, you beat drum cadences with anything you can get a hold of. (Pencil, Spiral Notebook, Kid Next to you's pencil sharpener...)
*People run when you break a drum head and or drum stick
*You don't know the ctual words to the Star Spangled Banner (Oh say can you boom crash =])
*You only know the catanets as the clickety clacks.
*You enjoy explaining to people how to properly tune a drum.
*You think the Marching Uniforms make some people look really sexy

When you practice fingerings on your computer's key board. [xD, I did that during Math because I was board as heck.]
When you don't care if you spit goes on your leg. [Guilty. I don't mind it. Wjere else is a Tuba player supposed to empty their spit?! sweatdrop ]
When you love showing off your instrument, especially if it's fairly large. [I do that. ALL THE TIME. Especially with my friend who does Clarinet.]
When you don't want to do anything after school except Jazz Band or Marching Band. [Guilty. x3]
When you have a band song stuck in your head during a test. [Guilty. I had Joyeuk Noel stuck in my head during a science test]
When you LOVE to show off your good grade in band. [Guilty. <3 I have a A+ and My friend has a A-, so I told him]
When you talk about band tests /band related stuff with other band kids at your table. [I did that once, and these two non band kids were all "WTF?". xD]
When your brass instrument is your mirror.
When you don't want to wake up @ 7:00 Am for School, but can wake up @ 7:00 AM for a Jazz Band rehearsal. heart
When your instrument is your cellphone background. [Mine's my Piccolo! x3]
When you think band kids are the funniest people. Ever. :3
When you wonder whats underneath the stage.. Q.Q [Mr.Hanna said gnomes.. lived under our stage, that's why whenever people stomp, everything shakes. o.o] This kid in Jazz band found a way to go under the stage. x3

You know you're a band nerd when you can compare just about anything that happens to you outside of band to something hat has happened to you inside of band.
(EX: We had a solution in bio today of peas put through a blender, sink water, detergent, and meat tenderizer... and I swear to goodness it smelled just like the inside of one of our fiberglass shakers in the percussion section. The bass clarinetist I was working with was like 'wtf is a shakire and how does this smell like it? o-o)

Um...
I'm not sure if this has been said yet, but it's a habit of mine.
You know when you're a band geek when whenever you listen to a song, you try to walk according to the beat and if you don't, you trip up.
I always end up skipping or jumping just to keep up.
Also, whenever you listen to a song, your foot taps subconsciously.

You know you're a band geek when you and your friends can sing out a piece you've played in its entirity and comment on what's happening e.g. oh and a piano glissando happens there and it goes like *hums tune*
You know you're a band geek when you memorise music and can play them off by heart... 5 years from your previous performance of it xD

XD My history teacher always plays Vivaldi's Four Seasons during our
quizzes and tests and I sing along with the clarinet parts.
