He heard a snagging sound and then a small curse come from the driver. He looked up to the man and realized… he wasn’t there. For that matter, neither was the cart. He spun around quickly and saw that the stupid thing had gotten caught in a pothole as it were. These things were scattered all over the badlands made by all manor of things from natural soil erosion to creatures digging under it to ninja digging under the ground. Any number of things could have caused this but whatever it was was long gone now as nothing seemed to really happen.
Roy groaned a little and looked to the guy in the cage. He was tossed back against the backside of the cage but he was otherwise ok. The old man was looking to some of the other guards as he barked some orders to get the cart out. Roy sighed a little.
Physical work was not his forte after all. At least not physical lifting. He was more the delegate type, not the brute strength type. A sigh left his lips and he began to look around. He then found something that could help, “Oy, Yumi, cut the big branch off that dead tree down. We’ll use it to wedge the stupid cart out of the whole. Shuiro, when I give the signal, shock the horse a bit to make it move. You’ll know the signal cause it’ll be when we’re ready to push the cart up. But don’t do it to fast or else you’ll rip the wheel off.”
[[roll to see if plan works to perfection or if the cart is damaged. Hmmm DC of 10 vs 1D20 + 1 per 20 int

Shuiro heard the crunch and bump of the wheel getting caught and smacked herself mentally for not giving them a waring before hand. I should be paying more attention... course, if they were looking they probably wouldn't have hit the pothole either. Hearing Roy's direction, she nodded in response and moved towards the horses hindquarters, placing a gentle hand on it's back. She held back the current from her hand, feeling the slight pressure it gave her. "The rut is about a good two and a half feet deep... you're gonna have to wedge that branch in deep, and be careful... too much force will just snap the branch and the wheel will be harder to pull out..." Man... We could have avoided this too... Hopefully this dang thing doesn't get damaged...

Yumi looked as the cart tumbled straight into a ditch. 'Great' She thought to herself. 'Well at least it got the group distracted on something.' She was just glad to get the focus off of herself. And Roy was appearing to her as an easily distracted type of person. Yumi would listen to Roy's instructions and would use her wakizashi to cut through the big branch. She grabbed one of her wakizashi's and would give a good thwack onto the branch to break it off from the rest of it. She would then grab the piece to lodge it underneath the wagon. She assumed Roy would be helping her move the wagon out of the rut while Shuiro was going to distract the horse to help it move the wagon out of the rut. Yumi looked to Roy to signal when he was ready to move the oversized branch.

Roy held up a hand and began to count down from 3. Upon closing his hand, he yelled the word NOW at the top of his lungs. Obviously, this startle along with the shock that Shuiro gave would get the horse into a shock and pull it harder. At that exact moment, Roy lept into the air and stomped hard onto the branch. He wasn’t physically strong but he knew how to use what strength did have.
It creaked and moaned, the branch did… or maybe it was the wagon. Either way it gave way and pushed the entire cart at least a few feet into the air when Yumi added her own strength to it. The old men were of no help but Roy didn’t expect them to aid anyway. He sighed deeply and sat there groaning.
“HAY! Old man, pay attention to the road!”
“I am you midget! But that hole there was strange…”
“Strange… strange how?” Roy arched a brow… the man was more use to the badlands than Roy was so if he thought something was strange, that translated into it being alarming for Roy and his team.
“Well… for one thing, this path we be following is actually an old paved road. Mostly stone and what not mind you but there shouldn’t be any critters out here that could cause such a small pothole. Most of’m out here that be strong and big enough to dig through rock or even move piled rock would have created a full on sink hole. Would’o ate up the whole dang gone cart, not just a wheel… Second… if that was some natural kinda hole due to the rocks knockin loose under us, the ground would have shown some kinda depression, specially with this much weight a’knockin about up here.”
Roy looked back to the hole… that left only one real option… the whole was manmade. Someone was out here and they wanted to cause some trouble. He was hoping that they were out here for something else, maybe somebody practicing a jutsu… but he knew he probably wasn’t that lucky.
“Keep your eye’s peeled boy. Might be more than big bugs out here trying to get ya.”
Roy realized that Etna was still in his coat. It was almost cute how the black cat could fit into his messenger bag. She forced him to put a nice pad in so she could sit comfortably but still. He glanced down to her and arched a brow, “Oy! Why didn’t you summon Cerberus or something to help us move that thing?”
“Why? That would have meant putting forth actual effort on mine and Poochies part…” She had adopted Ryoko’s method of nicknaming people.
Roy just sighed and began to walk off next to the cart.

Roy began the walk in silence but then remembered the previous topic of the conversation. She was in a shell yet she stood Gig long enough to have him at least teach her something? That was an oxymoron if he ever heard one but then again, she might have just stood there and took it in silence without much complaint due to being in a shell. Roy couldn’t stand to take orders from Gig ever again… it wasn’t that he hated the guy but he just irritated him so much. So damn serious.
A deep sigh not of agitation but of exertion left Roy. He looked up to the sun a bit and grumbled… it was beating down on them and doing so evilly. He grumbled to himself about it being the middle of winter yet, in the badlands, there was maybe only a 1 or 2 degree difference between all 4 seasons. In all of them, they all seemed closed to HELL to him. This was one of the few times he wished he wouldn’t have warn his jacket out and about. Either way, it didn’t matter as it was already said and done and he was already here. No use in complaining.
His mind began to wander to Etna… he was worried that she might be hot: Black fur in a black back next to someone wearing a black jacket… she should be a furnace. He glanced to her to ask about it but just as he did, he noticed her taking sips from a water bottle that looked rather familiar…
“Oy… is… is that my bottle?”
“Yep…” she spoke in a matter-of-fact sort of tone. Very short and precise.
“Did I say you could drink from it?” a slight agitation mark was starting to appear on his head.
”Nope…” again… that smug matter-of-fact mannerism in an answer. “Want some?”
Roy just groaned and looked ahead… “No thanks… I’m not into cat backwash…” he heard Etna snickering. He only growled and looked back to Yumi.
“Oy, Shell Girl. How’d you stand Gig anyway? Didn’t he agitate the living hell out of you?”

When Roy gave the rather abrupt signal Yumi would use her small body to push down on the branch at the same time that Roy would jump on it. With his and Shuiro's help they would get the wagon out of the rut. When they got the wagon out of the whole Yumi listened intently with curious eyes to what the old man was explaining about the whole having to be man-made. Someone wanted the man inside the cage to be released. Yumi saw Roy talking inside his bag and thought he was talking to himself but she wouldn't question him. When he brought his focus onto her and asked her about Giglamesh's training she looked at him with eyes as if she didn't know how to answer. "Well...uh." She paused and held her hands together and stared at them as if she was nervous. "We mostly just trained with shinai's and he made me go through some tough training so that I could become stronger." They hadn't really talked much just worked hard for her to become a better shinobi. So she didn't know what else to say about Giglamesh. "Obviously Giglamesh bothers you though, right?" She looked at Roy questioningly.

Shuiro heard the signal and gave the horse a small static shock to it's hindquarters before backing out of it's way as the cart lurched forward. Thinking that this was all a nice and dandy job well done, she was a bit miffed to hear that the old man had something to say about the pothole that was indeed odd. Oh, great, that means that there's going to be more work than just escorting a prisoner... she rolled her eyes in annoyance but continued on, listening to what they had to say. I wonder what Shinku's doing right now... If he's not training then he's probably cleaning house or soemthing like that... That suck-up, momma's boy... I suppose he's trying to make up for the two of us though... I never did much work around the house. Heh... oops...

A group of five younger genin were following the tracks from the wagon, the prisoner inside was there gangs boss. He had got caught and took the blame for something they all did since he was the boss, but since there were his gang there were going to be there for him and rescue him. The wagon didn't make it across the badlands so well ad left heavy tracks in the red soil here. It was easy to follow, but do to there being a team of shinobi guarding it could be dangerous. From time to time the stop move up and take cover by laying on the ground or hiding behind rocks. One that acted like the leader till they got there boos back would lay down in the middle of the wagon track and use binoculars.
Gang member 1- "Hey...its supposed to be a entire cell guarding it....but i think they only sent in the genin from the squad as i see no jounin!"
Gang member 4- "Really!"
Gang member 3- "Heh then why dont we just rush it now....5 genins against three fight one on one right....then the other two let the boss out then pair up for two on one and then we can make our clean get away!"
Gang member 1- "...Not so fast...you got the right idea...but we have to make sure there issnt a squad leader so we will wait and follow for a little bit longer to see what they do...Move up!"
Once again the group of five genin would advance slightly closer to the wagon, only to stop and take cover, there always staid around a quarter mile behind the wagon.

After asking so nicely, using his casket, he found out the specifics of etna's team mission lay out. They were to protect a wagon that was transporting a medium risk prisoner to the under ground prison within the kara badlands. It was only a c-rank mission so he knew roy would have to problem with it, but he had no intention of helping him or the squad as he wouldnt want any body to interfere with his squads work. He was simply going to ask, etna or roy about that elemental recomposotion, he wanted to learn it for his element affinites ...even though he dont know what they are (thinks there wind, fire and earth do to stone clone) so he headed out of the village from the south gate and saw the wagon tracks in the kara badlands dry soil. "...not to easy to follow." (expression -____-')
Giglamesh would walk a somewhat fast pace following the tracks and it wassent long before he would see four laying down in the road one behind a rock and the one in he center of the tracks was using binoculars to look at something."Hey! have you guys seen a wago!"
Gang member 5- "Holy s**t dude there jounin found us!"
Gang member 2- "Were doomed dooooooooooooomed!"
Giglamesh's sweat bead just got even bigger as he saw the idiot group start to get what seemed to be scared at nothing. "Doomed?...jounin...me i wish no i was just looking for the genin squad that was escorting the prisoner's wagon." What the hell was with these guys?
The five would huddle and begin to dicuss things wispering to each other.
Gang member 3- "if he aint a jounin then he must be back up for the squad....we got to stop him now before he informs the the main group!"
Gang member 1- "Yes is he tells them what he saw there defense will increase...so we need to take him out before he can rendezvous with the other genin's."
The five of them would nod and then they would look up to giglamesh from the huddle, only to see him glareing back. They would begin to look at each other and walk around giglamesh surrounding him from five different points there were going to attack.
Giglamesh only stood there glaring with his hearing he heard everything they said with no problems at all, what the hell was with them were they just stupid or were the special...he didnt want to beat the crap out of them if they were special he would feel bad for that later...but not enough to stop him from doing it...they irked him that much. "...Im not back up you idiots....i just want to talk to one of them about something to make thin!"
Gang member 2- "See see! he said back up and we never said nothing about it!...he is backup for them we cant let him stop us from saving our boss!" He was pointing and yelling to the other about giglamesh, pointing straight at giglamesh.
Giglamesh would get a smile, so that was there goal to save the prisoner."....so your goal is to save your "boss"....the five of you.....HAH you wouldnt last a single attack against roy...i suggest you go home and forget about your "boss" if you vale your health." Giglamesh just stood there smiling and he would cross his arms.
All the other gang member would glare at gang member 2 for blurting out there plan to rescue the prisoner. Gang member to got hundreds of little sweat realizes he blurted out the plan as well as the other four glareing him down.
Gang member 1- "You idiot......no matter...we will break our boss out before he is imprisoned and this "roy" he wont matter we will beat him as well...but first we will take care of you!" He and the other gang members would poise for attack.
Giglamesh just stood there arms still crossed looking at the one that seemed to act like the current leader, but his cheeks would begin to turn redd and giglamesh would begin to laugh histaricouly! "...BWAHAHAHAHA ....you think the....five of you can take out roy.....and for that matter.....me.....you have no chance against him....and compared to him...im a whole different ball game!" Giglamesh would get a almost scared smile on his face and he dropped his casket off his back, it would land on its base, and just from that it was so heavy it would send out a shockwave of dust from the base...they had no idea what they were in for.

Chisaki walked into the badlands calmly. She was only looking for Giglamesh. Nothing more, nothing less. She didn't quite know what he was doing but she had a feeling that he was pulverizing at least something. As she walked further into the lands the wind picked up and blew her hair partially in her face. She could still see perfectly fine so she kept moving her body forward. With each step forward she could hear voices. She wasn't sure enough if her theory of Giglamesh being one of those voices was correct but she was going to find out. Each figure became clearer as her body moved gracefully though the land. Much to her suprise her theory was indeed corect. Giglamesh was in there. She didn't quite know why there where a bunch of shrimpy genin hanging around taking a fighting stance. On the other hand, she was one to talk. She was still a low classed Genin but that's why she was seeking her old friend and teamate from two years back. She was impressed by his progress. Some odd sense though told her it was the wrong time to seek him out but it was rather too late. She didn't bother to speak because she knew Gig would be able to sense her presence.

Gang member three and five would begin to rush at giglamesh ready and poised to attack, the man that simply stood there in a non defensive style in the slightest and right as they readied to attak they would stop in there tracks with a expression that said what the ******** (expression O_o')
Giglamesh would just stand there waiting from them to attack, this would be a perfect opportunity to use his physical chakra recomposotion. He would already have the goal in mind for himself, knock them out with out touching any of them, only using his physical chakra, shoudlet be hard they were wimpy little genin. But then suddenly as two of them started to attack he would hold out his right hand torwards them. "STOP!........So what bring you all the way out here nav...chi-chan as well and brings you straight to me?" He didnt turn, or look at her, he heard her walk up behind her the length of her steps and weight would map out her size, thats was how he knew exactly whom it was with out looking at her.

Shuiro kept alert, her static 'sight' pulsing from her in a steady beat. She was glad they managed to get the cart out of the rut, but she wasn't all too sure that thing would be running smoothly from then on. Focusing her energy on the portion where the prisoner was, she felt him lying on the floor of his minature prison. She wondered what he was up to, and focuesed even more to get the tiniest detail. Did he fall down when we hit the pothole? Why hasn't he got up yet? It was then that she found a hole that was broken through in the floor of his cage. Even now she could feel him moving, trying to squirm through it."Roy, the prisoner's escaping." As soon as she spoke, a loud crack was heard and then a thud on the ground as the cart rolled over the prisoner. She stopped in her tracks as the cart rolled past her, waiting for the dust to clear so she could see through her own eyes though they were blurred. Using bother sights, she took off after the prisoner.

Chisaki stayed quiet as she watched two of the Genin aiming at Giglamesh. Either they were num or they just wanted suicide. "I knew you'd sense my presence. I'd like some assistance and help with improvements and you just so happen to be the person I need for that. I haven't done anything along those lines in two years from what I can remember. So, do you mind?" Chisaki said ignoring the two attacking Genin. For a quick second she met their gaze and stated bluntly. "It's not my place to judge but you don't know what your getting into with him." After Chisaki made her last statement she concluded it best to stay quiet until she got some form of a response. Her first statement had been true. She needed help with improvements on her fighting and he was the best one to teach her. She couldn't go to Marcus because that a** was never in the village making some form of attemt to at least meet up with his team once. The second part of her first statement was true as well. For what little part of those two years she actually remembered she hadn't bothered once to train. When she said little she meant none of it. She couldn't remember anything from those two years.
