The Fierce Deity
Vice Captain

PostPosted: Mon Feb 13, 2006 9:32 pm

<<.... < <;; .... > >;; ....continuing from earlier.>>

::The Mystic Orinian Wolf Demon slowly steps forward, his grey-colored tail hanging relatively limp behind his legs as he cautiously approaches the wooden cabin, very little light piercing this far. It is nighttime, and he is over half a mile under ice and rock, using only his superb sense of hearing to guide his movements. With his every breath and heartbeat, he catches another gimpse of the old house.

Growing anxious, Deity quickly steps up and pushes against the door. The hinges rattle for a moment, the door appearing to be loose. That in mind, Deity gently takes the handle of the door, which is made of metal, and pulls on the bolted panel of wood, formally used to block this portal. It lifts free of the doorway, and the Tonepian places it softly against the outside wall. He steps into the dark room, noticing it is - not surprisingly so - totally derelict. There are shelves everywhere - holding books, papers, and scrolls - along every wall. Even using his great hearing, Deity can't see the text or color. Focusing his eyesight for a moment, he stands still for a few moments, letting his orbs adjust to the darkness.

After a few moments, things become a little more clear, and he moves around to see everything else here. Someone used to live here. From the lack of technology in the architecture and belongings, whoever it was was probably one of the legendary Orinian Ancients, probably older than Deity's father. Going by the different paraphernalia and furnishing of the room, whoever it was delved into magic, apparently. Candles, what look like spell books and scrolls, and numerous ancient markings litter the room, Deity not able to understand the meaning of the runes. It now occurs to the boy; he knows who lived here.::

Oh...no....no, no....

::Suddenly, this single-room cabin becomes strikingly familiar. In the darkness it was an alien territory. Once inside and able to see it, Deity remembers being here. It comes back to him as clear as day. Not a newfound lost memory, but something remembered from his early life as a human - during his original bloodthirsty rampage as his vile alter ego, Fierce. During one attack, he ventured through these very same mountains, when they were much smaller. He fell into this huge chasm, and found a log cabin, sensing someone of mystical origin within. Fierce, of course, wished to kill them, and demanded they present themself.

Who emerged was an enchantingly beautiful woman with blue hair and flowing, lightweight clothes. She seemed shocked, as though she knew who he was. There was a brief struggle, but Fierce ultimately attacked the woman with a fatal blow. Stricken with grief for a reason unknown even to him, Deity reverted back to his human form, and tried to save the ancient woman. She tried to speak, but the injuries she sustained had destroyed her lungs. She died in Deity's arms. He buried her outside, never realizing who she was.

Glancing out over his shoulder and looking out the busted window frame of this old dark cabin, the red-headed demon sighs. That woman was the witch who helped Tybron Wesley become a human, for reasons Deity is as of yet unsure of. As fate had it, he returned centuries later to return the favor by ripping her chest out. Figures. Cursing at himself and closing his eyes, Deity growls softly in his throat. He silently begs for the witch's forgiveness, wishing for absolution of such crimes. Even if she could forgive him, how can he absolve himself? It's then that a ceiling board above his head creaks loudly before breaking entirely, dust, ice, and wood crashing down on his crown.

The collapse catches Deity by surprise, but he shakes his head free of dust, swiping his palms across the brim of his hat as he looks down at what it was. Now at his feet is a red and blue scroll, metallic black bars at the ends, around which the ancient paper is rolled. He arches his brow at this, lifting it up with his left hand and staring at it. He uses his other hand to open it up, trying to make out what it says. No good; it's in the Ancient Orinian language. It took Deity weeks to decipher the codes on the side of the Seinorei blade, and months to memorize the spoken spells. Another reason to return home. The Tonepian's father knows Ancient Orinian fluently. He can read this as easily as he can order pizza.

Deity is suddenly filled with a childish joy, smiling brightly in excitement. Many of these other scrolls are bound to have similar text in them as well. Maybe they may be able to help him in his true endeavor of becoming his old human self once more. Deity rolls the scroll back up, then uses his right hand to summon a duffle bag. He gently places the scroll inside the bag, lifting the strap and tossing it over his head and onto his left shoulder. He walks hastily around the room, eyeing the books and scrolls scattered about the room. Far too many to take all at once, not to mention the fact that it'd be pointless to take with him a hundred scrolls, without the knowledge of how useful they may be. Using his limited knowledge of the language, Deity searches and searches, looking for any symbols he recognizes. All in all, he takes five more scrolls, stuffing them all carefully into his bag before zipping it up.

Walking out of the cabin, Deity takes a few steps, looking at the wall of ice, and preparing to reenter it. He pauses for several seconds, taking a deep breath of the motionless air, that falls like a ton of frigid bricks down his dry windpipe. He turns around, facing the old wooden house. He may never know what brought Tybron Wesley here so long ago, when he was still so young. Or why Fierce went through the trouble to find this place, just to murder the one person who knew of his origin. However, he knows that each time he has arrived here, that ancient magical woman has helped him in some way.::

...thank you...

::Smiling softly to himself, Deity turns around, stepping forward and ducking into the ice tunnel. Now that he has returned to this place - probably for the third time since his birth - he will remember where it is. He can return again, should he have to, perhaps to find further enlightment for the solution to a future problem. A few seconds later, he hops out of his makeshift tunnel of ice, now standing outside again, where the air is free-flowing, windy, blistering, and not nearly as stagnate. It kind of sucks.

Deity needs not dawdle any longer. He needs to pick up Jade, so they may return to Earth. He quickly places his right index and middle fingers over his forehead, grasping the strap of his duffle bag with his free left palm. He locks onto her energy signature after a few seconds, but pauses. He wonders for a moment, if the others will greet him as openly as Jade has. He slaughtered most of the humans on Earth. He killed his friends, such as User. They must hate him.

It doesn't take but a moment or two, when Deity decides that he will take responsibility for his actions. He probably deserves their resentment, and he can't just hide from it. In any case, if one person needs him, he is content. Without another thought, he uses the instantaneous movement technique, now standing in Jade's hotel bedroom in the Tonepian Capital City. Lowering his right hand slowly from his head, he glances around with a curious look on his face, blinking a few times at the sudden warmth of the building.::

Jade stepped out of the bathroom, having just finished washing up and changing into a fresh set of clothing. After waiting for Deity for a few hours, she had managed to catch some sleep, before waking up with the late dawn. Still without any sign of him, she had gone out and brought her clothes to be washed and have a bite of breakfast. When she returned to the hotel later that afternoon, still no Deity. She sighed, brushing out her long hair as she sat down on the bed, her tail hanging over the edge of it. Seinorei was leaning in it's makeshift sheath of old bed sheets against the bed.

"I hope he's not too much longer..."

Jade got up and went to the bathroom again to gather what was in there to put into her bag. As she turned around, there was Deity, standing in the middle of her room out of nowhere! She nearly dropped everything she was holding, managing to grab the brush with her tail before it hit the floor.

"Welcome back Deity!" She smiled at him from the bathroom door, before she dashed over to the bed and dumped her things on it in a pile near her bag. Then Jade turned around and walked back over to Deity, smiling up at him.

"Did everything go alright...?" She glanced at the bag over his shoulder, but waited until he said anything about it before questioning him. After all, who knew what was in there....
