::The tall red-headed demon pauses a while longer, hearing his name spoken by Jade. Ironic, he believes, that the first girl he ever remembers loving should follow him to the edge of the universe to stop him from leaving her. A deep sigh escapes his lips through his scarf, steam rising from underneath it. After a moment, he turns toward her and walks casually over, his tail swinging gently behind him from under his new, shorter red jacket.
He lifts his right hand from his pocket, using a new mental power of his to instantly summon an article of clothing. It's a huge, thick black cloak, good for insulation. Lifting his other hand and grasping the sides, Deity flips it over Jade's head and pulls it around her body. He looks down across her form, a pained look thankfully hidden by his mask of sorts as he tucks the cloak firmly around the girl.::
....you really shouldn't be here...

Jade smiled up at him as he wrapped the cloak around her, moving her hands away from her arms and holding the edges to keep it closed away from the cold wind. She looked up at his face, still mostly hidden from her, trying to see his eyes even thoguh the glasses still blocked them from her sight.
"I know I shouldn't be, but I am. Only thanks to Taliman actually...he's the one who brought me here to chase after you...."
Jade seemed to have found her voice again, and slowly looked down and away from his face, turning her head slightly and looking out into the canyon a little.
"We were all worried about you y'know...when you didn't come home...I had to swallow my pride and ask Taliman for help to get here...he seemed to think you'd come here...and I'm glad he was right."
She glanced up at him a little from the corner of her green eyes.
"Deity.....come home. We're all waiting for you..."

::The idea that Taliman would willingly participate in helping someone he dislikes rescue someone he hates is baffling enough. At first, Deity finds it too hard to believe, but on second thought, how else would Jade be here? The only people of Deity's friends that he knows have been on this planet before are Keno and Satomi, the latter of which now living here. Even then, they shouldn't know where Orion is. Taliman is just a brief teleportation trip away from Earth or Orion at any time. Deity breathes harshly once through his nostrils, patting his palms down against Jade's shoulders to ensure that the cloak is on firmly enough. He then speaks again, his voice soft and quiet as always.::
....you should ask him to take you home. Deity'll...return on his own...
::A blatant lie. Without even looking at her again, Deity lowers his hands to his jacket pockets and takes a step around her, beginning to walk off down the length of the ledge. A small part of him hopes that the girl will just leave, and forget about him. The larger part of his being, however, knows she won't.::

Jade growled a little as Deity started to try and walk by her. She spun around swiftly, still holding tight to the cloak around her as she ran and stood in front of him again, her eyes now glaring up at him, a mix of anger and frustration.
"You and I both know that isn't true.....I've known you way too long for you to just lie to me...."
Her eyes changed again, a heavy sadness behind them. She held the cloak around her with her left hand, reaching up and holding her ice cold locket, beaten, battered and nearly broken with her right hand.
"I know if I leave and go home, you'll never come back....so I'm going to stay here. I won't ask Taliman for help again. I'm going to chase after you for however long it takes. I"m not leaving without you."

::Deity comes to another halt, Jade now in his face again. He lowers his head, sighing harshly now both in frustration and dejection. He hates to upset Jade, but he has no other alternatives. Deity's put up with this existence as long as he intends to bear. All he is good for is postponing another mass genocide, the likes of which took place on both planets he ever chose to call home. If he left to a new planet, it would suffer the same fate.
Closing his eyes tightly for a moment, Deity struggles to find words to say, hoping to keep his cool. He is more prone to anger in this devil form, a greater effort of will needed to stay calm. Apparently, Deity has none at the moment, snapping back at the young girl.::
...fine, stay! Deity doesn't really care anymore...he doesn't need your pity....while we're at it, he doesn't need you, either! Just get out of here, you're only delaying the inevitable.....please, j-just...
::Maybe that was a bit much. Deity stops himself, though perhaps he just doesn't find it in himself to continue even if he wishes to. He growls softly in his throat, angry at himself immediately for saying that. He ducks his head down and turns to the right, taking a single, lingering step in that direction, his shoulders trembling now. He doesn't apologize or take it back, nor does he continue in his attempt to send the girl away. He does or says nothing, a fallen tear stopped by his glasses as he closes his crimson eyes, head held low. So adamant is Jade, a girl who has spent months searching through a frozen hell to find him and tell him to return home. Unbearable, it is, to tell her that he doesn't give a damn, and that he would rather she go away.::

Jade looked at Deity, her eyes wide as he snapped at her, shock plainly written on her face. Never, in the two years she had come to know him did he speak so angerly to anyone, much less her.
But she remained impassive. She didn't break down and cry, didn't throw angry words back at him. She just stood there as he turned his back on her.
Slowly, Jade stepped towards him, his back still turned to her. She walked up, and put her right hand on his back, her left still holding her cloak shut, holding it against Seinorei on her back. Jade closed her eyes and leaned her forehead against his back, ignoring his tail.
"I refuse. I'm not leaving until I get the old Deity back....The one I...."
She paused, almost choking on the words. She didn't even realize she was saying them until they came tumbling out.
"....I fell in love with...."

::Deity's shoulders continue to tremble as he fights back more tears from streaming down his face. He slips his hands shakily out of his pockets, his tail lowering against his legs as Jade places her hand on his back. The demonic boy then slowly turns around, facing Jade, and opening his eyes to see her. He lifts his left hand to pull down his scarf, tucking it under his chin. He is biting gently on his lower lip, the trail of a fallen tear visible on his right cheek.
The last thing he thought would happen when he came to this planet would be Jade rushing to his aid and hoping to bring him home. If such a love still exists, then he may yet have a purpose in this world. Without saying anything, he steps as close as he can and curls his arms around the girl's waist in a tender embrace, bowing his head low over hers. He closes his eyes once more, a shivering breath escaping his voice as he hugs her gently. Deity has nothing to say, deciding actions may perhaps speak louder than words in this situation.::

Jade only opened her eyes when he turned around, smiling slighlty when he took her into his arms, closing her green eyes again as she slowly wrapped her arms around him like she used to. She held him tight for a moment before stepping back just slightly to look him in the eyes.
She smiled up at him, blinking her eyes as tears started forming on the edges of them. Slowly, she leaned up, kissing him softly on his lips for only a moment before moving down again, tilting her head down and looking at the ground, blushing slighlty.
((EDIT: Since this post kinda sucked last night, and I know I can do much better, I'm makeing a re-do on the next page, continuing form Deity's last post. ^ ^ *runs off to do so*))

(No no it is ok there is no arguement in me Deity. You've got nothing to worry about man. It was more directed to her than you. She knows how I feel about a lot of things and disreguarded it. She wants to be selfish and so do I but it doesn't work well. ::Sighs:: Good Night Deity. . I am happy for you. )
