Aislin wasn't sure to say or do anymore. Apparently she was pretty bad at subtly making hints to her mother that she really didn't want to do anything. In reality, her mother should be spending her precious time off doing some precious alone time and Aislin should be out looking for a partner. She was still adamant about the whole thing. Being a solo meister simply wasn't her cup of tea. Glancing out the window, she wondered if her partner was out there somewhere, just waiting to be found. "Feels too much like Spring to be Winter."

Damain nods as the waiter brings him his water and Ran her black tea.
"Yall food will be out shortly." the waitress says before walking away. "So, um uh..." Damain says thinking aloud and then grins. "Do you have a partner yet, cause i don't." Damain says while slouching in his chair.
OOCsurprisedoo i feel like i can put more description but i don't wanna change my uh style as it twere just yet. lol
"Not really." She replied, tossing several sugar cubes into the tea. Once they all dissolved, Ran grabbed a spoon to stir up the mixture. As she was just about to sip her tea, the hot water burned her tongue. She placed the cup back down to let her drink cool down. Great, now that her taste buds had been burnt off, she was incapable of tasting anything for the next few minutes. Not only that, but her tongue hurt too. After what seemed to be a few seconds Ran continued. "Why?"
[ OOC: Psh, don't worry about it. I mean, you can if you really feel it's necessary, but I'm really fine with your current writing style. It's blunt and straight to the point, which I think is good. ]
While Maka wasn't able to read minds. She was good at reading souls. And could feel Aislin anxiety around the subject of finding a partner. "Aislin chan..." The spartoi once more would sneak next to Aislin, yet this time she wrapped her arms around her. "Don't worry about it dear. I know you'll find the one. Do not think of when or how you'll find it. The more you think of it, the longest you'll feel it's taking. Enjoy your time. He or She will come to you. And I'm pretty sure they'll be happy to be with you. Just look at you! Who wouldn't?" The blonde meister giggled as she cuddled her daughter for a brief moment. As much as it pained her, it was because she had been on her shoes before that she knew how bothersome parent's may be at times. And sometimes kids were better off alone. "You grew up to this day to be a fine woman, and and exemplary unit for DWMA I'm sure of that. Don't throw away your qualities away just because you don't have a partner yet." Kissing her forehead dearly she leaned back just to see her straight into the eyes with a warm smile. "Remember, you are the best of Tou- san's world. So as mine." With that, Make would stand up and take her leave. Surely this wasn't something it could be helped. So, paying the bill at the counter. "Thanks for the food Aislin chan, we should try this more often." She waved farewell before going back to the infirmary hall. Maybe she'll find soul this time.
Damain looks at Ran as she says why and was about to say something when their waitress came to drop off their food. Damain thanks the waitress and grabs one of his sticks of Dango and eats each on on the stick. He then puts the stick on the plate and finishes his food before he finishes what he was gonna say. "Well, since neither of us have partners, maybe we can become a team." he says picking up another stick of Dango and beginning to eat it slowly while waitng for an answer. .

"Thank you...for believing in me, kaa-san." Aislin said nuzzling into her mother's embrace. Sure parents could be a pain sometimes and maybe just a tad embarrassing, but it was so rare to see them in her case. Seeing her mother off, Aislin crossed her fingers that she might see both parents sometime soon. Taking some time to finish off the rest of her milkshake, Aislin sat in silence by herself before leaving.

As Ran began eating her slice of apple pie, she listened to Damain. Team-up, eh? It wasn't a bad idea, since it meant that, one, she could finally go on missions, and two, prove to her brother that she was worth keeping. By taking up Damain's offer of being her meister, Ran would be killing two birds with one stone. Besides, it wasn't like he was a bad guy... Just too energetic for the sluggish, anti-social girl.
"...Sure." She replied, after she had finished her dessert/technical brunch.
Damain fist pumps thee air as Ran agrees to being his partner. "Ok, our team name will be uhh..." Damain says before stopping and pondering a moment before going on "TEAM RIDERS". Damain looks at Ran closely waiting for her reaction .
"Whatever." Was Ran's initial response. She tried not to show it, but Ran was slightly amused by Damain's cheekiness. It was pretty entertaining seeing him act so childish. Kinda' reminded her of her brother, the b*****d. The exception to that though was that her new Meister wasn't such a jerk like Ren. That damned p***k... Well, whatever. Now that Ran had a partner, she didn't have to remain docilely on the sidelines, and could actually utilize her weapon-form for once.
Wow, how long had it been since she'd last transformed? Perhaps... A month or so? Probably. Maybe add in a couple of weeks, but yeah, that's most likely the amount of time that had passed since she last transformed. She might be a little rusty though in her weapon form, but hey, as long as she could fully transform, she was good. Somewhat, anyway.
Damain looks at Ran and then thinks for a moment. "Well, there is plenty of things like training, going look up a mission, going play in the park, going skydiving..." Damain says with a smirk on his face. He meant the first two but was joking for the others.
"That last one sounds fun; I can push you off the plane, if you want. " Ran attempted to joke, but almost sounded serious due to the lack of emotion her voice usually held. It could seriously get really creepy/horrifying at times, but also amusing. To some people, anyway. The latter mostly consisted of relatives and a few close friends, while the other was the majority.
Ran honestly didn't care what they did so long as her social interactions with others were limited enough so that she could go back to her dorm and watch videos of angry cats hissing at a mirror on Youtube. What? It was pretty funny. At least until someone got bitten or scratched, but it was amusing to watch.
Damain smirks and says "Ok then, we are going sky diving." taking what she said seriously, not minding the being pushed out part, as he finishes his Dangos. "Ok, gotta secure a plane." Damain says taking out his phone and textin a couple people. "Ok we got a flight." he says as he puts his phone away. "You up for it?" Damain ask with a smirk on his face. .
Ran looked at Damain as though he were absolutely insane. He couldn't actually be serious, right - Wait... He'd just taken out his phone. Ugh... He did know she was joking, right? I mean, she couldn't have sounded that serious about it. Then again, people still took what she said seriously so maybe she should refrain from making too many jokes... "I was kidding. And I don't like being anywhere but on the ground. Unless I'm in weapon form, because that's different."
Damain slouches over as he is told she was kidding. From the way she said it, he thought she was serious. "Oh, ok" Damain says all depressed like while letting out a sigh. "Well, next up TRAINING, if ya up for it." Damain says, making a complete mood swing. .
