Lin now found herself in front of what she assumed was Ambrose's door with Professor Akakios standing next to her and his hand on her shoulder. She thought he would use the pendant she gave him to teleport so that he didn't have to use his own powers, but then she realized that she had never told him how to use it to teleport!

She turned around and set her suitcase down, off to the side. She reached up and gently grasped the Elven pendant she had given to her professor. She had managed to retrieve another one for herself from her sister before they had left.

"Professor, to use this pendant as a portal to wherever you want to go, all you have to do is simply touch it with your finger with the intent to use some of the water. When you pull your finger away, a drop of the water will be on your finger."

She did as such, and a small drop of crystal clear water with a blue tinge to it appeared on her finger. Then, she held it out above the floor and let it fall.

"Only one small drop is needed. Then, you hold your hand over it with the thought of where you wish to go in mind, and you say ((Insert word here until I find it in many posts back))."

Lin did that and a huge wall of sparkling blue water appeared before them. A light breeze brushed against their faces and the water was swaying slightly.

She turned her head to Ophiuchus and smiled. "That is all there is to it, Professor."

Then, she waved her hand and the wall of water disappeared. "Usually the water disappears on its own after the intended person or persons travels through it, but since we were not going to be using it, I made it disappear."

((Woohoo!))

"So that's how it works," the healer mused. "You never did give me an instruction manual after all..." He brushed a strand of long white hair behind his ear. "Now, I'm assuming you wanted to be here for a reason, so I'll go take care of Ialo while you talk to Ambrose."

At that, he turned and walked away, whistling. For what was happening, he was in inappropriately high spirits. And speaking of Ambrose, he heard his voice right as he had left. Excellent timing!

Ten minutes later....

Ophiuchus suddenly appeared beside Riser, Kai, and Athena, with Ialo's unconscious form draped over his shoulder, and holding the case with the Blades of Tempora and Verus in it.

"So," the White Serpent said cheerfully. There was a mark on his face, like he had gotten punched. "I hear Setsuka is back?"

He dumped Ialo on the basement floor, and the Headmaster rolled over and groaned.

"And Riser, you wanted these?" He held up the case. "Why? And how the hell did you get Ialo to agree to give them to you?"

Lin sighed sweetly as she felt Ambrose's arms wrap around her and then rub her back. She had forgotten how comforting his embrace could be.

She kept her face resting against his chest as she spoke softly. "I missed you, too, Ambrose. So much."

She didn't want to mislead him. She was simply behaving naturally, for once not second guessing herself. She was tired of doing that. She just wanted to live. And she had deep feelings for Ambrose. Whether they were simply ones of friendship or something more, she did not know, yet. But since they both had Elven blood coursing through them, they had centuries to find out.

"Where did you go? I was not here myself, so no one was around to tell me where you went. Are you alright?"

She reached one of her hands up and began run it slowly through Ambrose's hair.

"Yes, yes I'm fine. There was a chance...there are powerful magics out there, Lin, things you and I could only ever dream of...or have nightmares of. Some of those powers had my baby sister's soul. I needed to be sure...absolutely sure there was really no way to bring her back. I know you don't like her, and I know talking of her makes you aggravated, but she was mine, and I left her alone. So I had to try." He shrugged his shoulders, sighing.

He bit his lip, sighed. "No, no, it wasn't the same, not really. I found them. I tracked them down, and I found her. They'd put her soul-my baby sister's soul-in a fake body, wiped her memory, taken her powers. They'd taken everything she was and made her a lie." He shook her head, sighed.
