You know the locations of the river basin as well as the tower. You see a lot of movement in the trees to the northeast.

Masa shrugged and said, "I couldn't use my chakra to grip them, had to do it old school, and you saw how well that went." She shook her head, discouraged by how little help she was at the moment. "So what all is out there?" She looked at the map a little more, still not getting a clue at what it said. "I mean, where should we be heading? We have directions to our assigned stations, but the others may be easier."

Batsu cocked his head and looked at Masaraku. It was quite clear that the girl was upset about this stage of the chuunin exams. The boy actually felt... bad. He's been in her predicament a right many times and he can easily sympathize with her. But Masaraku was a tough chick and seeing her like this was beyond rare. As her teammate, he felt that it was his job to help her out.
The boy straightened his posture and put his hand on Masaraku's shoulder. "The first checkpoint is near, so let's go... and Masaraku, please don't be discouraged. We're in this together... as a team. Right?" Batsu flashed a comforting smile as he turned and headed in the direction of the before-mentioned checkpoint. But after a while he stopped and checked over his shoulder, glancing at the girl. "Besides, I would hate to have to kill you because of your little pity party. So suck it up... okay?" Batsu went back to when Masaraku's philosophy was the whole "tough love" approach and hoped that she'd catch on to the joke. Of course, he was sure the insults would come flying... and he braced for impact.

You know how to get to 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12. 6 and 8 are closest. Then 4 and 10. Then 3. Then 12. And 1 is the furthest away. Go where you want, but either 10 or 12 was actually assigned to you.)

Shinzu staid quiet during Masaraku and Batsu's exchange, he wasn't etirely sure that Batsu was joking, and hadn't just recently developed a lot of confidence. 'Please, oh please Kami just let us make it through this last mission without a fight...' Shinzu thought, after all it was quite possible they'd be going thier seperate ways after this. The Kiri Medical Corps was recruiting, and Batsu would be a prime canidate. Masaraku was likely to get picked up by the Regular Forces, and perhaps the ANBU. Then that left Shinzu, skilled essentially only in Taijutsu he could only look forward to a mild Career in the Regular Forces. Of course the Kiri Military Police Corps was also recruiting maybe he'd do that, after all there weren't many people he wasn't able to restrain.

She cracked a smirk at how the roles in their group were shifting. She looked around at the forest, expecting a fight to break out at any moment. "So the faster we do this, the better. Otherwise we will end up fighting another team for the scrolls."

Batsu stopped and turned around to look at his team. "So should you two come up with a plan?" The bus stopped here for Batsu. He knew when it came to plan-making, his team was far more superior than he was... hence the emphasis on 'you two'. He was hoping something would be made quickly. As much as he wanted to get out of this place, he didn't want to fight anyone yet. He was more so anxious about getting to the examinations. Such was the mentality of a bookworm like Batsu.

Shinzu thought for a moment and then looked over to were he heard movements. "He just said we had to have two scrolls right? Well what if we went to our first checkpoint and then ambush another team?" Shinzu offered, it would put them in more immediate danger, but would allow them to get through this quicker..

She couldn't read the map, so for all she knew, thats exactly what they were doing. She slumped her way in between Batsu and Shinzu and said, "But what do I know, I wouldn't want to get in the middle of your special friendship, so that leaves Batsu as the deciding vote." She eyed him coyly. (Whatever you decide on, roll 3 athletics checks. You will need a certain result to get there, wherever there is.)

Batsu looked over at Masaraku after she made her remark and then looked over at Shinzu. He then lifted his arm up and pointed in Masaraku's direction, showing who he sided with. "I want to get this over and done with and her way sounds like it would be the quickest way."

"If we're act too rashly we may end up taking longer." Shinzu said, wanting to get a last word in before they took off towards the closest section. He still didn't like it though, they'd been assigned a specific spot for a reason. The way Shinzu saw it that spot might've been talor made for them. Oh well he was out voted.

Masa ran towards the river, the closest place. She was passed up by Shinzu, and left Batsu in the dust. She got a few feet from the forest edge when she saw Shinzu waiting for her. She looked back, Batsu was about twenty feet behind her. She debated going back for him, but instead said, "Hey man, keep up!" Before turning back and heading towards the river basin.
