Chloe nodded, "Kay, guess we'll catch up with you later," she grinned to Vhan as she followed Kaya to the register.
"Thanks again for breakfast," she grinned, "That really hit the spot. I think I'm ready to take on the world now. I was barely awake before," she laughed. She made her way out of the cafe, and turned to wait for the others, but suddenly she found herself running into an invisible wall.
"What the..." she muttered, poking a tentative hand out, feeling solid, but not seeing anything.
"Bleh..." she muttered, realizing what it was.
Chloe turned, scanning the outside for a moment, before spotting the Mr. Mime.
"There you are," she nodded with a smile, "Thought so."
"Entreri, you're up!" she called, summoning the Weavile from her belt. He was still a bit moody from earlier, but was definitely willing to give a battle a go.
"Use a Night Slash to start," she called, as Entreri hopped over the invisible wall, darting at the Mr. Mime. Entreri nodded, ducking low, before sweeping in with his claws, slashing at the mime.

The Mr. Mime concentrated, putting up a Barrier. Entreri suddenly found himself confronted with several walls of invisible psychic energy. Grumbling, the Weavile concentrated, finding his way around them, before slashing at the Mr. Mime once more. However, protected by its walls, the slashes did less damage than usual.

The Mr. Mime then countered with a Doubleslap, pummeling the Weavile with several blows, which Entreri endured, before finishing off the Mr. Mimme with one more Night Slash, effectively taking out the opponent.
Chloe smiled, finding that she could finally move freely again without worry of running into walls.
"Thanks, 'Treri," she nodded. Entreri shrugged, before returning to his Pokeball.

Chloe nodded, "Sure thing," she grinned, eager to get on the move.
Chloe led the way across the bridge in the middle of Canalave. She had to pause for a moment to admire the view once more, which was easier to do without Stunky.
Passing the library, Chloe turned southwards, towards the harbor that lined the western side of the river. Passing a few fishing warehouses, she found the docks. Smiling slightly with victory, she set out to find passage for her and her friends.
After passing a few fisherman, none of which seemed in a mood to help, Chloe discovered a small trading vessel that seemed to be preparing to ship off. She stooped, reading the name of the vessel on the weathered wood. Wailord's Pride was painted on, although over the years the paint job had clearly faded a bit, however still legible. Chloe rose, looking to the crew on board, who seemed to be busy packing up for the trip. Cargo was being carried over the gangplank by the crew, before being loaded into the belly of the ship.
Chloe watched them for a moment, before waving one of the men down.
"Excuse me, where are you guys sailing?" she inquired. The sailor stared her down for a moment, before shrugging. No harm in telling her.
"We be sailin' north, to Snowpoint. Carryin' trade goods there, business," he explained.
"Do you guys happen to know the way to Iron Island? If so, are you passing that way?"
That earned a sneer from the trader, "Of course we know where Iron Island lies. It'd take a rookie swabby to not know at least that much about these waters," he spat, literally, a glob of something or other landing with a plop in the water off the dock. Chloe resisted the urge to shudder.
"But, yep, we pass right by 'er on our way to Snowpoint, why ye be askin'?" he inquired, raising a brow at Chloe.
"Uh, well, we're trying to find passage there, my friends and I," Chloe elaborated, "There's three of us, but a fourth will be joining us shortly," she explained, "There's our Pokemon too, but they won't take up any room, we can keep them in their-"
"Trainers ye be?" the sailor interrupted, looking to Chloe's waist, where her party was inside their Pokeballs.
Chloe humphed, not too pleased at being cut off, "Yeah," she nodded, "All of us are. Why would that-"
"Captain!" the sailor hollered up the gangplank, effectively cutting Chloe off again. She muttered something about rude sailors under her breath, but looked up, as the captain made her appearance.
"What is it, Galleon?" she called, making her way down the gangplank.
"These kids need transport to Iron Island," the sailor Chloe had been speaking to explained, motioning to Chloe, "They be trainers, should be they can help if they be any good."
"Uh, we're all pretty experienced," Chloe ventured. "Although Vhan's fairly new, he's a good trainer as well. Why would that make a difference?" she asked.
"I'm Yoran," the captain introduced herself, nodding curtly to Chloe, "The reason is we've been experiencing trouble with the sea Pokemon lately. Normally we have no problems with the Pokemon around these parts, except for Wingull, they make messes on our decks," she smirked. The smile faded, however, as she continued, "But lately the Pokemon have been restless, even violent on occasion. We've seen Pokemon that aren't native to the area. So we've taken to hiring trainers on our voyages, to help us fend off the Pokemon."
"But," she smiled, "Looks like that won't be the case this time. We'll provide you transport to Iron Island, in exchange for your services should we come to need them."

Kaya followed after his friends, keeping quiet for the moment as they walked to the docks. He cast a wary glance to the Gym, and for the first time in ages, he looked worried about the battle that lay waiting for him inside, whenever he got around to it.
At the ship though, he nodded in earnest. "You've no problems there, Captain. We're all experienced trainers and you've got a master of the waves, a master of Dragons and a trainer who's greatest ally is the very earth Water types can't travel on." he told the captain.

My brain is still scrambled from a car crashing into our rental house and wiping out a brand new heat pump and the back deck my dad and I just finished building over the summer, last night. Everyone was fine but the crash destroyed part of the house's foundation and we'll have to rebuild it, and the deck.}}

I'm playing catch-up with my Advent items. I'm getting my inventory and stuff in order today, so I don't have this big long add-on to my posts anymore. xD

Brayden nodded, following along behind Chloe to the docks. However, he made two small side-trips.
The first occured when he reached the end of the bridge. He heard a mewl coming from the reeds. Curious, Brayden slipped down the riverbank, nearly falling in the muck several times along the way.
Following the faint sounds, he happened across a small Vaporeon in the cattails that lined the riverbank. The thing was very close to newborn, quite small, and very much skittish. Brayden knelt, trying to calm the young one, who mewled, trying to struggle away from the reeds that had snared it. However, the closer he got, the harder she struggled, so Brayden finally backed off with a discontented sigh.
"This isn't working..." he murmured, casting a worried glance to the Vaporeon. He kew the tide coming in would most likely pose no problem for the little one, but he knew there had to be some way to get her free.
Brayden finally settled on calling Caliga out for assistance. While the Umbreon reassured the small Vaporeon, Brayden managed to get the muddy, soggy, rather grumpy young one out of the reeds. However, in the process, he had gotten plenty of mud on himself as well.
"Bah," he muttered, shaking off his arm as he held the Vaporeon close. Caliga had helped calm her down, so she accepted Brayden lifting her up off the riverbank as he made his way to a clearer patch to rinse off a bit, as well as clean up the Vaporeon.
It was then he discovered her odd coloring. She was paler than normal, which Brayden would have chalked up to either her being so young, or that she was sick. However, as he finished washing up the young one, he noticed several deeper swirls of color that laced her haunches, as well as her tail. Now that was something he'd never seen on a Vaporeon.
"Hm, you certainly are a special one," he murmured, to which the Vaporeon burbled out a mewling sound. Brayden couldn't help but smile, she certainly was cute.
"Well now, you're all clean and free from those reeds, hope your day goes a bit better from now," he chuckled, setting her back down in the water. She dove under happily, and swam out of sight. Brayden watched her go, before looking back up to the bridge, "Aw shoot, I've got to catch up with the others," he realized, having lost track of time. He and Caliga broke into a run, dashing across the bridge.
He stopped a moment later, skidding to a halt as he spotted another thing in the reeds, this time on the other side of the bridge. A Pokemon egg of all things. Brayden scooped it up, tucking it in his bag, knowing that it really wasn't safe for it to be just lying there. Taking care to insulate the egg in his backpack with a couple of t-shirts, Brayden put it back on his back, hurrying to the docks to catch up with the others. What he didn't know, was that he was being followed by the Vaporeon in the river.
Finally making it to the docks behind Kaya, Brayden set down his bag as he listened to the exchange between Chloe and the Captain. He nodded, "We'd have no problems helping you out in exchange for passage," he agreed along with the others to Yoran's proposal.
The Vaporeon from earlier slunk under the dock, finally sneaking up behind Brayden, nosing open his bag curiously. She pawed at a Pokeball, belonging to Zephyr, playing with it momentarily, before accidently bumping it into the egg. The egg in Bray's bag wobbled, before toppling, knocking into his Pokedex. With a beep, a fizzle and a poof, suddenly the egg was gone, transported to his PC.
Thorougly amused, the Vaporeon kitt repeated the motion, this time with Zephyr's Pokeball. Another ping followed, as it too vanished.
Giggling, the Vaporeon reached for another Pokeball, however, this one was unoccupied. As she touched it, the device activated, drawing the surprised Vaporeon inside. With a squeak, she vanished into the Pokeball, which was also in Brayden's bag. With a couple of faint wiggles, the bag stilled.

Yoran nodded, "Very well then, we set sail in an hour, you'd better be on, or we'll leave you to the Wingull," she turned, making her way back up the gangplank. Galleon followed along behind her, hefting the box of cargo up onto the deck.
"Welcome to the Wailord's Pride," he commented over his shoulder as he vanished on deck.
Chloe nodded, although both the Captain and Galleon were already gone.
"Well, looks like we've got a ride," she commented.
Chloe made her way up the gangplank, trying her best not to topple into the water. She had never really spent too much time on ships, so sea legs were not something she came equipped with.

Brayden followed the others up onto the ship, faring a bit better, although he had veritably no experience on boats either, besides the short ferry trips to Dewford. Other than that, there was nothing in Brayden's past that he could recall.
However, he didn't tumble, which he took as a good sign. He made his way over to the railing to watch the waves at the docks for a bit while they waited to ship out.

Chloe nodded to Kaya's suggestion, teetering a bit before regaining her balance as she made her way beside the others, "I just hope I can stay up straight," she muttered, watching the waves for a moment. It really was a nice view, she had to admit. With a few Buizel in the water below them, playing in the river, she watched them for a bit as the crew continued to load their cargo.
The crew for the most part ignored the passengers, other than a few glances of curiosity. But the shipmates had their work to be done to get things ready to set sail, so there was plenty of time to stare later on. For now, they had to get things in gear.
