In Consert band, I'm the only girl in my section... Although in marching band, there's another girl. I play Bass Clarinet.

In my section, we have about half of the girls in trumpets...although, pit is an all-girls thing...they used to have this t-shirt that said something about a girlfriend...ah, in band there are so many jokes...

Yeah...I definately know how that feels. My BF and I are the only 2 girls on our drumline! But hey...that's okay because we totally rock!

I'm currently the only female trombone player in any of the bands.
Until next year. Because then, they'll be a new freshman girl T-boner. And she's freaking good at it. I swear...if that girl doesn't join highschool band, I'll beat her up.

Our band doesn't really have that many distinctions in the ways of gender in sections. We've got guys in the flute section, clarinets, girls in brass (I'm a trumpet! Woo!), girls in percussion...We're pretty well mixed.

During strings class I'm in an all boy's section. Oh, it's hilarious to listen to the two of them talk.

Next year, I will be the second girl in the trumpet section. I kinda get my very own section, the "Pocket trumpet" section. But I'm stereotyped into the trumpet section. But for concert band, I'm surrounded by the male race. I have them all around me. It's scary because I am a social person, and being surrounded by guys completely takes all the fun away from having a huge band.

I went an entire semester thinking there was another girl trombone in one of the other bands, but at the concert I was proven wrong.

We've got a girl trumpet in an all boy trumpet section.
And a boy flute. But He kicks butt. He's better than the girls.

I was one of two drummers in marching band, and next year I'll most likely be the only girl.
In symphonic band, I've been the only girl percussionist for two years now. Its a weird balance to keep. I'm really good friends with all the guys in the percussion.

My friend is the only girl in the tuba section. She's annoyed by the boys. xD

lmfao. I had to switch schools half way through my sophmore year so I wound up being the only girl in an all guys section. It's kinda awkward. I also play tuba and the main tuba player is a guy. I've only been playing tuba for a semester and can play way higher than he can. I think it makes him mad. But yeah . . . being in an all guys section is more comforting for me than not because in all reality . . . I hate girls. I'm on a different level of maturity than they are and it drives me nuts when they talk. I have to stay away from them. Plus, who on here that is a girl can actually say that they don't talk smack or harass other girls? How about backstab? Exactly.

My guy friend is the only guy in our clarinet section. I think he feels little out of place sometimes.
