Unfortunately, the ship was in Kanto. That left Skye with the hotel room, but she didn't mind. Unova hotels were almost as great and luxurious as the ones in Kalos. Skye went ahead and rented a room at the finest hotel and Nacrene; after all, she had her lovely ladies to consider, and she wanted them to experience the best. Of course, there was also Gonzo, Pepeki, and Cyclone. She didn't think only of the girls. Mostly, sure, but not only. In her room, she let all her Pokémon except Adalinda and Jamiemarie out, since they wouldn't fit in the room, and left them to relax on the bed while she showered. Once clean and still wrapped in a towel, Skye sat on the bed as she used a second to dry her hair. There was a calender on the wall and she saw it was Mother's Day."Oh, crap....I can't make Mom breakfast in bed this year."Maybe she could send a message instead? It wasn't as luxurious, but it would be better than nothing. Her mother always did say she didn't care what Skye gave her for Mother's Day as long as she was thinking about her."Alright, then. Skye didn't get her women's day out with her mother. Something about suddenly having to deal with something urgent. It bummed the sky rogue out and she spent awhile just browsing Nacrene on her own; Pokémon aside, of course. Her spirit was kind of deflated to the point where she didn't even want to battle the gym. She wouldn't enjoy it right now, so there was no point wasting her time. But, like a blessing from the stars, Skye received a text from her flaxen-haired lady friend. Skye gave a smile as she read the text before stopping some random guy on the street."Word around the street is there's a renaissance festival happening somewhere. You wouldn't know the quickest way to get there, would you?"The guy obviously didn't like being grabbed by some punk and didn't look like he was going to answer, but he suddenly changed his mind. Maybe it was the newfound look of determination in her eyes or something, but he told her to take the train in Castalia or Nuvema. Castalia would do. The trip between Striaton and Nacrene wasn't too long. Maybe. Sebastian couldn't really tell, these routes between cities all looked the same with grass, trees and pathways that wound in all kinds of weird directions. Soon though, he found himself in the city of 'art' as the entrance sign announced and well, he had to admit he was a little bit astonished at the side. The place had a sort of rustic feel to it, kept up to date with various murals splattering the walls of the warehouse buildings .It was... quaint? But not exactly quaint. There were really no words to describe it.
It was impressive. He almost got lost in the sights before finally focusing in on a board and taking the time to read it. Apparently, just like how the Striaton gym was in a restaurant, the gym here was in the Museum. He had to wonder if that was a bit of a theme or just something that gym leader's preferred. Ah well. Once he had his directions, he was on his way in that direction, mulling over his options. One more gym to go once this one was done. Nice.

It didn't take long for Sebastian to find the museum; of all the buildings in the city, it was probably the most normal looking. Which made sense seeing as it was supposed to be a museum; decorating it in all the strange bright graffiti might've defeated the purpose of such a building. After all, who would take a place that held ancient artifacts seriously if it was decked out all crazy like? Well actually, maybe people would take it seriously, he didn't really know.
Stepping inside he browsed some of the exhibits a moment before finally finding a curator to inquire about the location of the gym leader. Soon the woman was leading him back to another battle field, where he was greeted by a rather jubilant looking lady. The first thing that caught his attention, as sad as it was, was her hair. It made him think of Gin, big and fluffy. It was kind of awesome; also he needed to let his other pokemon out at some point. Maybe at the fair.

She tucked her pokeball away, but strutted forward, pulling out Sebastian's prizes. "Those pokemon out raced and out powered mine, I'll give you that. You've earned these," she congratulated, providing the badge and TM. "And I applaud your pokemon, too!" They'd certainly worked hard, but when one fell, the other swooped in to finish things off. They were a good team, from what she could tell.

The slight frown on Sebastian’s face shifted up into a smile as Lenora commented on how heated the battle had been. Heh that was a good play on words. He was a little disappointed that Phanpy hadn’t been able to hold out longer to finish the Watchog off. He’d hoped the rock toss would give her a bit of leeway but it just wasn’t in the cards. Ah well, Shuffle had swooped in and finished it well enough.
"Thank you ma’am. It was a really good battle." He remarked back sincerely, giving her a little bow in return. Her team had been tough, though it had been far more manageable than his battle with Whitney. It was good to know normal types weren’t always pains in the backside. Taking the items and storing them away, as well as adding his new badge to his case, he waved goodbye to Lenora and wished her well before turning to leave. Great! This was going wonderfully, he just needed to head back to Castelia now and he’d be all caught up with Jay!

Noel walked along the route with the map in between his hands, gaze shifting between the paper and the road to make sure he wasn’t going to run into anything. He wanted to head through Nacrene City to Castelia to take the train to Kalos. He hadn’t really expected to leave Unova so soon, but one of the pokemon he was looking to add to his team happened to only reside there (at least from what he’d found in his research) and so out that way he was heading. It would only be for a little bit and then he’d head back immediately to continue along in Unova. He wanted to stay close to home and all!

Noel grinned as he and his team finally arrived in Nacrene. He’d been only one or two times before in his life, mostly when his parents were researching to help his condition, but he recalled that it was a rather artsy place. It was also where the second gym was, though he was hardly ready to take on the second gym at this point in time. Seeing as how he’d be coming right back through here, he didn’t delay to check out the different tourist attractions or art exhibits that were currently going on. He’d save all that exciting stuff for when he came back!

Through Narcene City and onto the route that led to Castelia City. Noel was making some good time, which he was honestly proud of. He had returned most of his pokemon, save for Algernon, to let them rest. He might’ve been able to keep up momentum but Hyde’s dancing about and Wilbur snuffling for more to do made him semi-nervous as they went along. Algernon of course, was content to just hitch a ride in his trainer’s arms, the map long since put away now that they were on the right track to their next destination. He was enjoying the alone time with Noel honestly; he was still uneased about this whole adventure thing but Noel was handling himself well so far, especially after that random fiasco of pokemon.

For once in quite a long time, Ajicka decided to walk her way to the next city. She adjusted her bag and prepared to go, and made a mental selection of the pokemon she would have out with her, to keep her company, and to let them stretch their legs. She honestly didn't have... too many on her. It was actually a little odd not to have to worry about fifteen pokemon, making sure they got exercise, socialized, trained... But it was also a relief. Really, she only had a few she even had to worry about, as far as training went, and it wasn't even time to truly worry about that just yet. Given she was going to be traversing some routes, she could probably really let them all out, but that might be hard to keep track of, especially with Joltik, and Tynamo, who she didn't know that well.

This was a good opportunity to fix that, though. To avoid things getting too crowded, she only let out Tynamo, Joltik, Edge, and Metagross. Edge seemed slightly on edge with the two electric pokemon so near, but Metagross' hulking presence seemed to put a calm tranquility onto the group. Joltik scuttled onto one shoulder, Edge perched upon her other, and the psychic pokemon levitated behind, his legs tucked in under him as Ajicka walked. She glanced back briefly at him, vaguely aware of his presence in the back of her mind, then lowered her gaze to tynamo, who was floating along beside her, looking straight ahead. Not the affectionate sort, then. Not even friendly, though it was keeping a noticeable proximity to her, so it wasn't exactly stand offish, either...

Checking her watch, Ajicka frowned. They weren't getting very far very fast, at this rate, and while that would be perfectly fine, under normal circumstances, she wanted to get this gym battle done by the end of the day. At this point, she wasn't sure she would be able to accomplish that. She glanced back at Metagross, sharing a thought -- no, more an idea, not even put into words -- and he lowered his levitating body. She turned, using the metallic X across his face to hoist herself up, turning and droping to sit atop his head, Edge fluttering and giving an annoyed 'humph' as he landed back on her shoulder once she'd settled. "Tynamo, come up here," she instructed to the little floating electric fish. The pokemon looked up at her, stared a long moment, then wiggled through the air to get near her. She reached for it-- and then jerked her hand back as it released a blast of electricity. She narrowed her eyes.
"... You're going to want to get close. We're about to move fast, and I'm not planning on turning around," she explained flatly. The pokemon floated, staring a moment, then swam his way to rest against her stomach. She looked down at it, raising an eyebrow.... and then lifted her head to look forward, mentally letting Metagross know they were all set.

Well, almost all set. Edge promptly got knocked off her shoulder with the sudden forward momentum, but was able to fly and, generally, keep up. That didn't stop him from getting outrageously annoyed, though. They entered the city and slowed, Metagross still hovering, tynamo curiously prying himself from Ajicka's midsection to look around, and Edge finally catching up. Joltik was lost somewhere in her hair.
"What the hell was that!?" the pidgey screamed, with Metagross translating. "Shut up," Ajicka muttered flatly, a book already out in her lap, her pokedex beside it, "We need to update your moves."

Edge was still glaring heatedly at Ajicka, but, as per usual, the young trainer was ignoring it. She crossed one leg over the other to prop up her book, frowning a bit as she did. Sitting atop Metagross, she felt oddly... aware of how much had changed since she started her journey. She didn't feel... different, per se, but at the same time, she did. She felt... she felt....
Taller.
That was about it. It wasn't much for her to think on -- or rather, she didn't bother thinking on it much beyond that -- and instead focused on Edge's moveset. There wasn't a ton to work with, at the moment, but she might as well fill things out a bit, so that she could use him, train him, and hopefully get him to evolve sooner rather than later.
