As Dice made his way back upstairs, the trio found themselves in their own terrible predicaments. They'd traced the Cubone's steps down the hall as well as discovering the numerous doors that the small pokemon had somehow managed to open. They'd opted to check inside the first one to no avail and where now looking into the second one they'd found open.
Which happened to be loaded with many, many Litwick apparently. At first it seemed like some kind of candle light vigil and then a potential occult ritual summoning situation as they lit into existence one by one. And then they found themselves surrounded entirely by the candle pokemon. And they seemed... mad. Not even the glow of the lantern seemed to improve their mood.
Paper Lantern was lit! 1/7/2016 @ 5:46 Mountain Time
Gin used Knock Off! It’s super effective! 65 + 20 = 85 x 2 = 170 DMG 100 – 170 = 0. Litwick fainted!
+7 EXP to Gin!

Gin frowned, clinging to Rummy as she struck down the first of the Litwick horde. She'd hopped down from Blackjack's back once it became apparent they were in for a battle, intent on keeping the Leafeon and the lantern safe for the time being. The still hadn't found any sign of the Cubone, though Blackjack seemed assured that he had come this way. They'd just have to make quick work of these Litwick so they could find him. How long had it been?

The Litwick chirped in anger as it was struck down, rolling backwards only to be overtaken by another one in the process. Gin kept herself at the ready, Rummy right next to her watching with his own intense gaze. He was rather impressed with how tough Gin was. Who know cotton fluff could hit so hard? Blackjack in the mean time was handling the other side of the room it seemed, chomping his way through the candle pokemon with little problem.

Gin winced a bit. She'd accidentally grazed the flame of the last Litwick she'd smacked, little paw flailing a bit at the burn. It wasn't anything seriously luckily, but she'd certainly have to be more careful. This was neither the place nor the time to be getting any kind of a status affliction; they were a decent ways away from Sebastian and any healing means and even then, there'd be questions about the burn in the first place. "Wha wo whey want?" Rummy questioned in a muffled fashion as Gin knocked yet another Litwick away. She blinked and glanced at him curiously, little paw hovering over her mouth. She didn't really know. Her eyes narrowed a moment as she looked at the Leafeon, taking the moment to think about the situation. Unfortunately, another Litwick flung itself there way breaking her concentration. It's just have to wait until they were out of this room it seemed.

As the ghosts congregated and slowly began their move through the motel towards the odd source of light that seemed to promise a level of freedom, which ultimately led to a violent demise at the hands of Sebastian’s pokemon, one in particular chose to accomplish a different set of goals.
Naps’ head was resting on top of the bed at the foot, soft snoozing noises emitting from the fire pokemon. His decision to stay back in order to assure the safety of their trainer, while noble, had been uneventful once the trio had left. And while he’d tried his best, the warmth of the fireplace on his back (he’d re-lit it just in case) only added to his dreariness and he ended up falling back into a restful sleep.
Good. He’d been watching for a quite a while since the lantern had been lit, waiting first for the trio of pokemon to disappear. He’d actually thought for a moment that the Typhlosion’s presence would be a problem but when the over-sized rodent seemed to slip back asleep, his chances opened up. The Yamask quietly slipped from his hiding place, red eyes narrowing at the sounds of the soft snores in the room. Out like busted light bulbs; amazing. Though, Sebastian hadn’t responded at all to the commotion in the first place.
With silent movements, he hovered over the bed, eyes only glancing briefly at the Typhlosion at the end before focusing back on the sleeping man. The broken mask held in his tail appendage shifted as he hovered closer, eyes narrowing further. This would either work, or it wouldn’t.
If it didn’t there would be some hell to pay. He waited for Sebastian to shift in his bed giving a proper view of his face. One… two… three…
Whap! With a less than gentle smack, he shoved the mask on Sebastian’s face. There was a bit of a grunt in response and a shift, the kind of thing you’d expect from a person in their sleep. And then. Quiet. No movement, no more snoring. Nothing. The shadow-like pokemon had stopped hovering and was just resting on the bed as well. Hm…

He shifted and raised a hand up. One, two, three, four… five fingers. He flexed his hand a bit and sat up, head shifting left and right. Head moving? Check. He rolled his shoulders. How long had it’d been since he’d done that? Reaching a hand up, he swiped a stray strand of hair away, fingers running over the cracks in the Yamask mask carefully, tracing along them as he took in the new sensation. And for the briefest of moment, the slightest hint of a smile twitched on Sebastian’s lips.
"Hm."
Ah, so it had worked. It was good to see that there was some truth to those claims. Wonderful. He paused a bit, tapping at the connecting point of all the cracks in the mask as a frown took over his face. His face shifted to look at the shadowed-form of a Yamask still resting on the bed. There was no reading his thoughts with that mask in place but with quiet movements he shifted over the edge of the bed to retrieve Sebastian’s bag. He only paused a moment at the sound of shifting from the edge of the bed; when it was clear Naps was still living up to his name though, he resumed his rummaging and pulled out a pokeball. Perfect.
Without a hint of hesitation, he tapped the ball against the Yamask, the thing disappearing in the standard stream of light. One click. Two clicks. Three clicks.
Caught.

He rolled the ball around in his hand, blank mask gaze directed at it. After a moment or so he shrunk it and shoved it away into the bag once more, digging about and retrieving another pokeball. He got up and maneuvered his way to the bathroom. Naps didn’t even seem to notice the shift, which was perfectly fine.
Stepping into the bathroom and up to the mirror he leaned against the sink, studying himself in the mirror. This kid had a s**t ton of hair. What the hell was up with that? A standard neutral frown had taken over his face. That was the only noticeable feature concerning his face; the mask might’ve been messed up but it still hid a vast majority of Sebastian’s face.
"See? Ol’ Slickback told ya one of them would work for ya." A slick toned voice chimed from the darkness. He didn’t turn to address it, instead allowing the Haunter to introduce himself in a bit of a ‘pop’, giving a little spin and a flip in the air as he hovered next to the man’s head. The slick grin across his face seemed to grow a bit, arm-less hands rubbing together as he looked in the mirror himself. The lack of a greeting though diverted him from his vanity.
"What? No hello? No thank you? Come on now, turn that frown upside down. Ya won’t make any kind of bang with such a grim look on your face." The Haunter remarked, hands reaching to each side of Sebastian’s head as he forced the corners of his mouth up in a faux smile. This agitated the entity in charge, who promptly smashed the back of his fist into the Haunter’s face.
]"Hey, hey, HEY! That’s no way to treat a Haunter of my caliber!" The ghost retorted as it recovered from the strike, rubbing gingerly at his face and firing the man a leery glare. There was no reading of course what was going in his mind though and instead he simply had to watch as Sebastian straightened up, rolling a pokeball in his hand. The Haunter quirked what might’ve been an eyebrow.
"What’s that?" He questioned, hovering just a bit closer to get a look. Sebastian stopped rolling the pokeball, expanding the size and turning just a bit to the Haunter.
"Wha- HEY."Slam. The ghost didn’t get a chance to finish his sentence as the pokeball was slammed into his being, sucking him inwards in a beam of light. One. Two. Three. Click.
Caught.

Once the ball made the ‘ding’ to confirm the catch, he let the Slickback back out. The Haunter looked irked about being roughly shoved into a ball against his will, a finger jabbing into the side of Sebastian’s head in the process.
"What the hell was that?!" He hissed, gaze narrowing as he swiveled his body around to float in front of the masked man. The neutral frown didn’t waiver in the slightest, nor did his head seem to look in the ghost’s direction, instead appearing to still peer forward into the mirror. Slickback’s eye seemed to twitch before he huffed and hovered away, hands clapping together.
"You really are an ungrateful b*****d, ya know Sly. You’ll be walkin’ in dead man’s land again in no time with that kind of attitude." He got a response in to that, a smug huff.
"Shut it." Was the remark he received, supposedly from the Yamask in control. Before any further complaining could occur though, an eerie noise sounded from the bedroom. Cling, clang. Oh. Damn. There was always something getting in the way. Slick seemed to shiver, swiftly pulling back and behind Sebastian as he headed for the doorway. It didn’t take long though to spot the Aegislash hovering in the middle of the room. It seemed to turn and recognize him too, immediately jumping into a battle stance, blade pointed in the man’s direction.
This was a thorn in his side…

Well that wasn't how Sly expected that to go down. He was fairly certain his newly acquired body would have a sword through his face when it appeared. But Naps stirred from the commotion and promptly attacked the threat. The ghost weapon had been able to block the first onslaught of fire, but ultimately succumbed to the second blast in a smouldering heap. He still had a spare pokeball in hand and he chucked it to capture the thing. At that particular moment in time, it was an ideal situation. It let him know where the pokemon in question was and well... there was nothing more secure and confining than a pc storage box.
The Typhlosion gave a groggy look at his trainer, blinking and squinting a bit. Something seemed... off? Before he could really consider it more though the man looked away, instead stepping forward and giving him a rough couple of pats on the head. Alright then... maybe it was just the sleep in his eyes making things look weird.

In the mean time, the trio had finally made their way out of the mass of Litwick and back into the hall. They approached the other rooms more cautiously as they continued to search, eventually making their way back towards the stairs and managing to cross paths with the missing Cubone, much to everyone's relief. It was short lived though as Rummy gave a yelp, being snatched up and yanked violently away by a familiar looking dark arm into one of the adjacent rooms. The crew quickly followed after only to find themselves face to face... with a room full of Cofagrigus. Which one held Rummy? They had no clue...

The Cofagrigus fell over, it's chest doors bursting open to reveal nothing but pitch black emptiness. No Rummy in this one. Dang it! It was only a matter of time before the lot would be noticed missing. Naps had to be some level of worried right? What if Sebastian was awake already panicking about his pokemon?

Also empty, but the numbers were beginning to dwindle as they went. Eventually, there would be only a handful of these coffins to search and with everyone hard at work to bash them down, they'd find the missing Leafeon. Who hopefully was alright. Rummy wasn't the brightest thing after all, did he know he was in trouble?

Another empty one. How was this possible? They should've found him by now! Blackjack was hard at work chomping through the coffins at a steady rate with Dice bashing his way through some of his own. The Houndoom looked ready to start impaling things; it was probably only the cautious fact that he might injure Rummy in the process that he didn't. But goodness, it was tempting.

Dang another empty one! At least these things weren't that tough. Though a new issue arose as one of the Cofagrigus grabbed a hold of Dice and took him prisoner as well. Blackjack immediately jumped into action to attack the kidnapper of a coffin. While he did that, Gin turned her focus to another one of them to try and seek out Rummy. She was getting tired and had to stifle a yawn, nearly getting herself caught up in the shadowy mits of the ghost in the process. Off!
