Letting the collar fall and the pedal hit the car floor, Shouyin made his way off once again, as quick as he could. The police were nowhere to be found nowadays, assumedly busy with business that was more imperative than a crazy man speeding down some empty highway.
"Tch." And he rolled along all breakneck.

"Why can't we get some type of rapid teleportation device. Make it a lot better so we didn't have to cover all this old ground." Rushing through the area Gammu strapped his MAC TMC back into its position and had drawn the MAC shotgun.

Gamma didn't answer, he was still fidgeting with that box. Atleast he got open by now. With his right hand he held a small tube and stuffed a couple pieces of matte black material in the external jaw; being careful not to chew them.
Northward still, weaving around the lake and through the iron shards they had left perviously. Still wary of any hidden catshit. North, to the port.

Black horse fly, lemonade Jar on the red ant hill, Garden worm, cigarette, Ash on the window sill.
The lake still reeked something fierce, but Shou couldn't pay attention to it.

Hundred years, hundred more Someday we may see a Woman king, sword in hand, Swing at some evil and bleed.
There was a loud bump, and Shou was roused, thinking they hit an animal.
'Twas just nasty piece of old road though.

Looking like some kind of living wraith, he made his way across the landscape.
The atmosphere seriously reeked of something, and the lake itself looked anything but normal. Yellowed eyes glanced over to the side, even as he trudged onward.
"...Place smells like s**t, jeezus."
Head lowered, he continued walking, left arm clamped against his right elbow.

"Eighty-seven bottles of non-alchoholic-beverage on the wall, eighty-seven bottles of juice..."
It really was getting to sound like a wheeze, but darned if Nascen didn't have enough hyper-child-ish energy behind it to make his voice ring across the lake. Most of the peopled seemed gone, as from mostof the places, since the chaos had begun getting less controlled. People wanted to go where they felt safe now, and in the middle of a large body of water probably wasn't where for most of them.
"...take one down, pass it around, eighty-six bottles of juice on the wall."
Nascen walked around the outside edge of the lake, going around it and heading for one place that had seemed the only refuge from chaos-which-wanted-to-eat-you type of chaos so far. Funny, as it sorta seemed the heart of the chaos in and of itself. In anycase, he knew by now that his headpiece wasn't working or someone would have told him to shut up. Masuyu was tossed off to God-knew-where, and Alan was obviously gone somewhere too, though he was pretty sure the man had enough experience to take care of himself where ever that might be.
"Eighty-six bottles of non-alchoholic-beverage on the wall, eighty-six bottles of juice. Take one down, pass it around..."
Tired and beat up as he was, he just had to keep on truckin' it seemed.
"...eighty-five bottles of juice on the wall. Eighty-five bottles of non-alchoholic-beverage on the wall..."

"Ya gots a real bad habit of droppin' by unexpected, bub."
The gruff voice stirred Vahn from staring down into the bottom of his empty mug.
"Ah... yea, sorry Logan." Putting the mug back down on the table in front of him, he leaned back, nothing but the crackling of the fireplace sounding out within the cabin.
"..Ya know, I thought ya were dead." Logan was tying a line into a fishhook, his body slightly hunched over as he sat facing the fireplace.
"I get that a lot, honestly."
"Where ya headed ta now?"
"I left my bike back in Gambino.. can't exactly afford to leave it behind and all."
"Ferry' busted ya know. Lotta strange stuff been going around lately, everyone's afraid ta leave their homes.. and the whole area's been going nutty. People will'na come up ta the lake anymore."
"........"
"I s'pose yer just gonna sit there all quiet as usual."
"Sorry...."
"I swear.. ya kids these days."
"I'm old--"
"I know."
Vahn lowered his head again, staring to the floor a bit.
"How long has it been?"
"...?"
"Since ya saved me from that monster that used to be in the lake..."
"Ah... it's been a while. You've been stubborn about leaving ever since, looking out for other people."
"Well, fair's fair. Old man like me hasta do somethin' wit' himself."
"...Logan."
"Hum?"
"Have... you ever felt like... you needed to go somewhere.. but no matter how hard you tried... you could never move...?"
The old man placed the fishing line down, staring into the fireplace as he rubbed the bridge of his nose.
"I'm an old man, Vahn. I've experience me fair share of troubles and good fortune. I cannae exactly recall each and every single one ya know."
"......."
Vahn continued staring to the side, yellowed eyes slanting slightly as he leaned back.
"You know... you really should do something about your hair."
Throaty laughter echoed out as Logan raised his glass.
"No no, my hair is naturally this cool."

Moving along the only path built within the area, Vahn turned and gave one last look toward the old man's cabin.
Turning once more, he began making his way onward, heading for the Port now.
