xxxxxZeke nodded to Padraic, more interested in Kishi's offer. The child, however, seemed more interested in Padraic. She'd unlatched herself from Zeke's neck and was reaching out towards the muscled-up guy, acting like she wanted to be held. She said something that was swallowed by her doubtlessly aching throat; how could it be fine after she'd been crying so hard? Either way, you'd have to be heartless not to take the kid when she was looking at you with those big, tear-filled eyes. Zeke chuckled and held her out for him to take, "I think she wants you, daddy." Still keeping the kid in a firm grasp so she didn't fall, Zeke looked at Kishi. "...and what exactly are those... bird... things supposed to do?"

xxxxxZeke looked over the newcomer with little to no interest. He recognized him, of course, from the report of an uptight, clingy and rather obnoxious lieutenant. Nate D. Brook, a pirate wanted for a million beli. Pretty shabby for a first bounty. However, if this was indeed Mr. Brook, then it could probably be assumed the other two from the report would be there, which meant... little to nothing to Zeke at all. As previously stated, his job here was to report on Kishi's whereabouts. His whereabouts? Yoroi. Mission accomplished. He could nap now. Once I find the kiddie's mommy, he added, mentally. He snapped back to his rational thoughts, remembering that he hadn't actually introduced himself. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Brook, I'm Captain Zeke Montelle." Always quick to the point (and rather hardheaded about letting the point escape), he pointed to the kid in Padraic's hands. "Do you know who this belongs to?"

xxxxxZeke held his closed fist up for Nate to see. Holding his index finger up, he answered Nate's first question, "Captain of the marines, you are correct in your presumption. Is that a word? Eh, is now." Adding his middle finger to his index, he answered the second, "I read a rather violent report written out by a Miss Rayumi Hareda," putting the third finger up, he added, "Shame about the kid. We'll just have to keep looking, then." Lowering his hand completely, he put both of his hands in his pockets, looking at Nate. His fist was clenched; perhaps he was looking for a fight? Well, that wouldn't do. Zeke didn't have time to set any of his usual traps into place and starting a fight so near an already distraught child seemed cruel. We'll just have to hope Nate is a reasonable man, then, Zeke thought.

xxxxxZeke relaxed a bit. Good; it seemed Nate had sense enough to care about the child present. "Rayumi Hareda; she's a rather ridiculous lieutenant. The report was said to have happened on Nevado- Kishi, here, was involved, I believe- and apparently, a savage group of two pirates and a revolutionary-to-be attacked her. In all liklihood, it was exaggerated within an inch of it's poor life." Zeke shrugged, to show he didn't really care about the matter. "I wouldn't let this get to your head, however, you're hardly famous. A one million bounty won't get you far in means of reputation." Zeke closed his left eye and tilted his head to the right as he used his pinkie to itch at his left ear.

Luci crawled out of the wood wreck of a marine ship, just recently waking up. "The hell was that?! One moment Nate comes over to talk to me, and the next I'm under a bloody ship! And my head hurts! Luci said as she stood up, rubbing her head and checking for any major wounds. Realizing that enemies might still be around, she began to look for Nate and Jason, though she was looking more for Jason, she was worried about them. "Augh!" Luci cried out as she tripped after her had a spastic pain in her head. Luci opened her eyes to the hull of a marine ship, coated with Kairouseki. "Is this..." she began, "It is! I can't believe I found some! I can totally use this stuff!" Luci cried out in a happy surprise as she began to gather it and carry it to their ship.
