Haunted by a past illustrated in her naming dream and embedded into her memories, she wants to be better--she wants to do better. Old habits are, however, hard to break. Used to a very different life, she finds the swamp is filled with idiots and strains not to slip back into sarcasm to hide the vulnerable heart beneath. And yet as she tries, the world seems intent on showing the world she is still a vile, despicable creature. It doesn't help that there are way too many damn daisies littering the ground; especially when she has such a nasty allergy to them.
