"Okay," she replied quietly, obeying and following behind him. "You don't have to worry about me, though. If it comes down to it and we have to fight, I won't hesitate to back you up. I can't just sit here and do nothing if we are attacked." Although she was secretly afraid. Who was to say the other Reyvateils weren't stronger? Or if they had to fight against multiple Reyvateils? What if Hikari's magic wasn't enough to protect the rest of the group even when they were giving their all to protect her? She bit her lip nervously but continued on.

"C'mon Sis," Mana said, pulling Miko in the direction Gannon was going. "We just need to get out of here as quickly as possible." Mana's first impulse was to stay and fight. Heck, it sounded like a lot of fun to her. However, when Gannon took charge and told everyone to follow, Mana had to admit that he was in the right. She did not want Miko involved in the fighting if she could help it. She knew her sister had never been very good with fighting, choosing instead to rely on magic and aiming. Mana wasn't willing to risk her sister's safety over it. And she had a Reyvateil to protect. Protecting Hikari in a necessary battle was one thing, but foolishly rushing into danger was a completely different matter.

Gannon… 
Once he felt that they were far enough away from the battle, Gannon slowed and waited for the two sisters to catch up. "Alright. Looks like we need ta get out of town as soon as we can. There should be a shop around here where we can get a few supplies real quick, and a new outfit for you," This being said to Hikari. "Then we can get out of here. Ready?"

The Reyvateil nodded breathlessly. She was already feeling winded. If this is what it was like hardly running she knew that she was in a lot of trouble. She knew that she'd have to get into shape more or she was going to slow everyone down.

 NoaahNoaah's eyes were shut tightly, unable to stand the sheer hate which clouded his mind now. Singing with another Reyvateil required that both Reyvateils sing with the same emotion, at a constant speed, in a balanced state of mind. One couldn't sing with such devastating anger, while the other sang lyrics of happiness and calm. It didn't match up. That was why Noaah's concentration was broken, and he could no longer sing. He didn't have any anger or hate inside of him to use in order to sing with Vegna, and anyways, the speeds at which they both sang were distinctly different.
Noaah let out a shaky breath, calming himself of the stress that Vegna's song had caused him, and stood up straight, looking at his partner. "Next time, be a little more considerate of me--"Vegna "It's not my fault if I was partnered with a weakling. Why don't you just speed up and concentrate next time?" Vegna had cut off his partner, shooting him a narrowed glare, which seemed to intimidate his white-haired 'friend'.
Neither of them had realized what they were doing, in the midst of the situation. Vegna had been overcome with excitement, wanting to test out his Song Magic, and Noaah was too busy trying to protect the townspeople to worry about their cover. However, when Vegna caught both Rhaplanca and Ishira looking at them, his face went pale. What had they done...?!
"Dammit..." he breathed, shooting a glance at Noaah. The other boy also realized, his eyes opening in shock as he looked at Rhaplanca, then down at his feet, feeling like some kind of... disgusting creature. He knew this feeling... The feeling of being looked at with disdain, like a... a failure.
"Watch your tone, you." He said, glaring at Rhaplanca, arms crossed over his chest. "I could incinerate both you and your little bodyguard in a second flat." "V-Vegna, t-there's no need to be so--""You, shut up!! Now, back to you two... Yeah, we're Male Reyvateils. That's all you need to know. If you're going to discriminate against us and just get in our way, then you might as well leave now cause we've got no time for senseless fools like you. You better keep both your traps shut about us too, or I swear to God, I'll--" "Vegna, that's enough!!" The black-haired male looked at Noaah, who's brow was furrowed in irritation. "If you're just going to give them insentive to hate us, then you're the one who should... who should shut up!" He yelled, his hands balling into fists. Vegna sneered lightly, turning his head to the side.
Noaah calmed down a bit, sighing, before looking at Rhaplanca and Ishira with a shy frown, looking down. "I apologize for his behaviour... Yes, we are Male Reyvateils. I ask of you to keep this a secret though; we won't be rash like that again. We... aren't travellers or adventurers and we've barely been in Ce Palym for a few minutes. We have a mission, but I cannot tell you what it is, I'm afraid..." he said, glancing up to look at Rhaplanca, but immediately looking back down.
And he thought he'd made his first friends today... What a shame. They were probably going to treat him like all those others in Sol Ciel had treated hi-- Noaah's eyes opened a bit wider in surprise. Sol Ciel...? What's that...? he thought, trying to remember. How strange...

Ishira stamped his foot, "No you watch YOUR tone!" he shouted at Vegna, "Rhaplanca has shown you two nothing but grace, which is more than I can say of you," he said to Vegna. Noaah's stand to Vegna surprised Ishira.
 "Ishira it's fine," she whispered a little distraught that she lost possible allies, "We won't speak of you," she promised, "We have our own mission and I don't wise to have conflict of interest. It's a shame but it looks like it's best if we just part ways. Again thank you for your support in battle," she bowed her head to them, "I owe you both. Perhaps if we meet again I can return the favor," she smiled meekly. Soon friends won't matter... so why do I still try? Her smile faded into sadness."Yeah," Ishira said defeated, "We could have made a good team," he sighed and looked at Noaah with a grin, "you could always just ditch the meanie and come with us?" he jested, "Nah, just kidding," he said to Vegna, "If there is anything else we could do for you to re-pay you just ask." he told Vegna seriously.

Vegna Vegna looked at Noaah for a second, who gave him a dissapointed frown. The male shook his head and sighed, then looked up at Ishira. "Sorry. I'm just on edge... with all this stuff happening." he admitted, his arms uncrossing. "It's no problem for having helped... I'm just glad no citizens were around to see us use Song Magic." Vegna looked down for a second, thinking.
Who knows, maybe if we... travel around with them, we can find the Third Generation suspect faster? They seem to know their way around, and with a bigger party, it'll be easier to fight back the monsters and other possible enemies. The raven-haired male glanced at Noaah, who seemed to be sad to leave the new people, and made his decision. "If you two aren't against, I propose travelling together." Noaah's head turned towards Vegna in surprise, who simply continued. "This is purely for the sake of each of our missions, however. A larger party means more protection and power, and we need to travel to a few locations which might be on your list of places to go anyways. How about it?" NoaahHe couldn't believe his ears. Vegna actually wanted to travel with others? Incredible! Noaah smiled, looking at both Rhaplanca and Ishira, nodding. "Indeed. If you don't mind, we'd be honored to join you for as long as you'll let us on your travels. Maybe we can learn things from each other?" He was glad... Finally, he'd be able to intereact with another Reyvateil other then Vegna, speak with humans and Teru and people in general, experience the world. No more interfacing with machinery, or communicating simply with lifeless technology.

She noticed that the noise had died down a lot. "Hey, maybe we can get through here without having to fight after all. Come on, there should be a little store around here somewhere- AHA!" She grabbed Hikari by the arm. "See ya in there, Gannon. Come on, Miko, you're better at this kinda stuff anyway." She grabbed her sister with her other hand and dragged the two inside the outfitter's. "Remember now, we only have a few minutes to spare, so browse fast, Miko!"

Rhaplanca's heart fluttered and her eyes lit up.
 "I would love that!" she said joyously, "I've been hoping for greater numbers to start with. Though it would do us some good to eventually find some more vanguards," she admitted.
Ishira
Ishira nodded, "That's true, it could be a little tough on me to guard three reyvateils," he looked around wondering if Miko was still in the city then quickly doubted her assistance, "Perhaps Seraca would have more allies? It's further down the tower," he explained to his new comrades, "However, we aren't finished with our business here unfortunately. We still need to get to the library at the shrine. We plan on gathering knowledge about our mission there. Perhaps you could gain the same?" he offered, "We have plenty of time before nightfall to regroup if needed. You both may stay free at the shrine with Rhaplanca and I."
 Rhaplanca was busy with mourning the rubble of the city on the ground. She was grateful the damage was not excessive, but it was still more than she wanted to see. She shuddered at the thought of what damage could have been done by the final attack. Rhaplanca looked up to a building that sustained no damage and read it's sign, "Dive Shop?" her eyes narrowed.
Ishira turned to Rhaplanca, "Yeah, it's quite popular," he noted, "have you ever done it?" he asked delicately. "How can you even ask that so bluntly?" she shrieked.Ishira laughed nervously, "Right sorry," he apologized, "It's just a good way to strengthen a Reyvateils magic. And since you're already pretty strong I just wondered," he look away, "I've never done it before." "You want to dive don't you?"
"W-what? No! Er.. well if it'd help to better strengthen your magic and better our bond," he admitted bashfully. "We can try if we have some free time," she said quietly, "no promises that it'll go over too well."Ishira face was red with blush, "Uhh.. now?" he choked, "Um.. we have plenty of time," Ishira looked at their two allies, "Do you mind if we take a detour? This dive shop even has proxy dives for two Reyvateils if you two want to give it a go," he informed, "Or we can meet up at the library after we're finished." he shrugged.

"No, thanks. I'm certain that you both have that covered," Miko said softly, backing away. "Besides, it's Hikari's choice to pick what she wants to wear, is it not?" She waved her sister off. "I'm going to wait outside, all right?" She walked out the door and leaned againt the building, sighing. I suppose that was rude of me... I just can't help feeling this way about that girl for some reason. It's just too... awkward and I feel like I'm fighting her for my sister's attention, which just frustrates me. The sooner she gets to where she is going the better.

NoaahThe joys he felt inside were about ready to burst. They could travel together? Fantastic!! Noaah smiled wide as he looked at Rhaplanca and Ishira, filled with joy. "I am forever grateful! Although yes, more Vanguards would probably be welcomed... But, I believe, Ishira, you should focus more on defending Rhaplanca. Afterall, you are primarily her Vanguard." He said, giving the girl priority.
He and Vegna could arrange themselves. Although they were Reyvateils, Vegna seemed to be a bit tougher then most of his kind. He would serve as a temporary replacement to a Vanguard, if needed. Noaah listened to Ishira, and nodded, smiling at him. "Thank you, we appreciate it. Resting after such a day sounds like a good idea... As for the library, I'm unsure wether the information we need is going to be there..." he looked at Vegna, and the male shrugged, unsure himself.
When their attention was deviated towards a dive shop sign, Noaah frowned. He wasn't sure how diving worked, but it seemed... strange, to want people to dive into your souls, the very essence of your being, the Cosmosphere. Did he even have one? According to the traditional description of a beta type Reyvateil, he did, but he hadn't been 'alive' all that long, so did he have anything to even influence his Cosmosphere with? Well, in any case, he didn't feel all that comfortable with having anyone so close to his mind and heart. "I think... I'll pass on this one. " Vegna "Nope, we're diving." Vegna looked at Noaah, grabbing his arm with a hand and walking towards the shop. "I'm diving into you to craft stronger magic. You're Red Magic's really weak, and we could use some tougher spells." It was obvious Noaah felt extremely uncomfortable with this, but he let Vegna drag him into the shop, with the comforting thought that at least Ishira and Rhaplanca were doing it too.

Ishira felt sorry for Noaah. Vegna may have be overbearing but he did have a point. However, Ishira disregarded their struggle and focused on his nervousness with Rhaplanca, "Alright, we'll just take it slow," he reassured her as he lead her and the other two Reyvateils inside. The shopkeep was asleep at her desk. It was a little Teru girl.
"Hey, you.. are you asleep," he shook the girl awake, "hey!"
The girl opened her sleepy eyes, "Huh? Wha?" she snapped awake, "CUSTOMERS!" she squealed, "What can I do for you?" she asked eagerly. "I would like to dive into her," he gestured timidly to Rhaplanca.Rhaplanca nodded in confirmation nervously."Oooh! She's very pretty!" the girl marveled, "Right this way!" she lead Ishira and Rhaplanca to a dive machine with two pods, "You just lay down and I'll take care of the rest!" Ishira turned to Noaah and Vegna, "Take as much time as you need or we could go first if you're nervous," he sympathized with Noaah.

Hikari felt a little hurt when Miko left so abruptly. "U-um... your sister... doesn't like me very much, does she?" Hikari asked quietly. She didn't need Mana to confirm it, though. She could tell. Hikari knew that she was being a burden, and that was the last thing she wanted to be in the world, but she had to admit, for the first time in her life she'd found someone who she felt safe trusting. Mana and Gannon both were really kind, and she was sure Miko was too, if only they could get over the uneasiness they felt about each other.
She stared hard at some clothes on a rack for a few moments, lost in her thoughts.

What the hell is her problem? Mana sent a glare after her sister as she left. She scratched the back of her head in puzzlement. When Hikari spoke, she shook her head and waved her arms and chuckled nervously. "No, no! Of course that isn't it, Hikari! She's just mad 'cuz I won't come home! It's got nothing to do with you, I promise!" She turned away and inspected some clothes. "Anyway... we got work to do. How about this?" Mana pulled out a cloak. "It's made for travelling to keep warm and dry, and for armor. I don't see anything wrong with the outfit you have on really, just your hair." She pulled the hairpiece out of Hikari's hair, allowing the long golden tresses to fall down her shoulders instead. "There, you look like you're more suited for travel now, and I don't think you'll stick out as much. 'Sides, you look adorable! Whattaya think, Gannon? I need a man's opinion." She dragged Gannon in. "She looks really cute with her hair down like that, doesn't she?" She winked back at Hikari.

NoaahHe truely did feel uncomfortable doing this, but since Vegna was so forcefully obliging him, he had no choice. Noaah didn't even have time to respond to Ishira, as Vegna pushed him towards a pod.
The white-haired male sighed nervously, climbing into it as the girl set him up. His mind slowly began to drift, as though he were being dragged into a slow sleep, his eyes closing as he felt everything around him begin to rush, and settle.COSMOSPHERE
LEVEL 1
Noaah Vegna "Wow..."
Needless to say, the Cosmosphere dimension didn't consist of much. The area was pitch black, with barely anything. Vegna, who'd installed himself in a pod, and was now inside of Noaah's Cosmosphere, walked forward on the darkness, hoping to arrive somewhere soon. After what seemed like an eternity of walking, he finally reached what looked like the dark confines of a laboratory.
Vegna noticed it was much like the C.G.P. Corp. lab, except this one seemed more... ominous. A cell of greenish liquid was in the center of the room, dimly lit by a light emanating from within it. Vegna's eyes looked up, and floating there before his eyes, was Noaah, completely naked as bubbles began to float up from the liquid. The male's nudity didn't bother him, since he himself had been in that state only a few hours ago. There was something... beautiful, about the way Noaah's body was completely relaxed, his expression neutral as he was there in the cell, unconcious and undisturbed. "This lab must be his perception of the C.G.P. labs--"
The entire world became black suddenly, as a crack seemed to form in Vegna's vision, shattering the image and dulling everything. "W-What the--"
His body convulsed inside the pod, as he was kicked out of Noaah's Cosmosphere, his eyes jolting open. He was gasping for breath, hitting the Pod's lid in both fear and anger. Finally, when the young girl came to help him, he sat up, moving himself out of the pod and going over to Noaah's pod, where the Reyvateil, it seemed, suffered the same consequences as he. "What the hell?! I was just getting started!!" "I-I'm sorry... it seems my mind doesn't want anyone inside yet... I'm just not ready... there's nothing I can do about it... sorry, Vegna..." Noaah only watched in timid embarassment as Vegna stormed off, out of the shop, leaving him sitting there in the pod, his eyes filled with sorrow. If he could have changed the outcome, he would have, but he just wasn't that close enough to Vegna, or anyone for that matter, to let them see inside of his heart...
