"Not long" and "egg"? So... he was freshly hatched, then? Well, that would certainly explain why he was so awkward. "Quite new, then." The Kabuto's speech was rather impressive in spite of it. Most young children had more issues with pronunciation and vocabulary than social anxiety. The Miltank came over a moment later, a plate in one hand and a napkin in the other. They each bore the brownie and cookie, respectively. "Well, then. To young life and early days." A quick psychic pulled his cookie into the air, making the "eating" part much more manageable.

Serrin stared at the brownie intently as it came over. It... looked delicious...

Tolin munched on his cookie quietly as he watched Jasper devour the brownie hastily. To say the least, watching the Kabuto leap off the stool and onto his food was hilarious. He tried his best to restrain his laughter, though. The Kabuto didn't have any other way of eating food and he didn't want to ostracize the poor guy. If Tolin laughed, Jasper would probably become a recluse for life.

Serrin meanwhile watched the brownie in surprise followed by sorrow. It... It was gone! That Kabuto took it! His ever-curious and happy gaze slid into a sad one when he realized that Jasper would be on the brownie until the brownie was gone. He began to sniff slightly, clearly distraught that the chocolate-y treat was to be devoured in front of him by a remorseless fiend.

Serrin began to sniffle loudly. He was obviously traumatized by the loss of the precious, precious brownie. Any further and he would begin wailing. He really wanted that brownie.

Tolin nodded. "Think nothing of it. Though..." He glanced over at Serrin who was quite literally on the verge of tears. It's certainly strange to see his old face acting like that. A stifled chuckle shook his whole body slightly. "I'm afraid I think I'll be ordering again for my companion. Is there anything else you would like to try?"

"Alright then." Tolin nodded before waving to the Miltank. "A small brownie for the Bulbasaur please. Not too much. I'd rather he wasn't awake all night." The Miltank gave a nod and a quick smile before heading behind the bar. Raising kids was tough, especially when they were in the "wake up at night" phase. She returned a moment later with a small brownie. She probably had it already prepared from Jasper's batch.

Serrin immediately gulped up the brownie, eating the entirety in one bite. The content feelings immediately spread across his face, marking him as somewhere between "joyous" and "so happy it should be illegal". His jaw hung slack, his mind apparently so happy it lost track of his body. Tolin chuckled slightly at the sight. It really was odd in comparison to his memories.

Tolin shook his head. "Don't worry about it. Consider it a favor." It wasn't like the food here was expensive and the company was more than welcome. Watching Serrin drink milk for an hour straight wouldn't have exactly been an amusing activity for the elderly man.

Serrin, meanwhile, was still in ~bliss~.

Lilium pushed the door open, tugging hard on the end of the leash she held. On the other side was the collar of a poochyena almost twice her size. He followed her obediently, the sight almost comical. Ok, it is rather comical.

The Poochyena was a dark blue, his belly a pale tan, with striking cerulean eyes and a tuft of fur on his head. In his mouth was firmly clamped a twig; it was a bad habit of his, one that Lilium had not been able to rid him of.

The Cyndaquil led the puppy to the counter, climbing onto a chair to be able to see over it. The Milktank was there, decorating some cupcakes with frosting.

"Good morning." Lilium greeted, catching the attention of the chocolate-coloured milktank.

"Hello there! How may I help you?" The Milktank asked, turning to face her customer. Lilium gestured to Repede, who was sitting down by the chair, inquisitive eyes darting around to take in the room.

"I was wondering if you deliver? It would be great to get him some milk regularly, but it is troublesome to take him out every time." Lillium explained. The Milktank nodded.

"Of course!"

After getting that dealt with, Lilium bought a bowl of milk for Repede and a hot chocolate for herself. She found a low table perfect for her and Repede's small size, and they sat down on the cushions that served as chairs. The puppy immediately started lapping up his milk, while Lilium enjoyed her drink quietly. How Repede came into the care of Team Azalea was a confusing story, but the Cyndaquil was doing her best to take him of him properly. And find him a home outside the Guild. She didn't believe that children belonged in Exploration Teams, that they should be exposed to such dangerous, hazardous conditions.

Lilium sighed as she took another sip of the Hot Chocolate. Not many people were willing to take in orphans, which is why eggs often found their way to the guild. She wasn't going to find a home for Repede anytime soon...

Lilium paid the new arrivals no mind as she continued to think over Repede's situation. Repede though, was more than a little curious. The puppy stopped drinking, his ears perking as the door opened and he turned to face the Pokemon coming into the cafe. The Poochyena got up, padding towards the new arrivals.

Lilium perked up at this, tightening her grip on the leash. She recognized the ones coming in as Exploration Team Members -she'd probably seen them out in the halls at the palace- and frowned with disapproval at the sight of their egg.

Dear lord Arceus, why must the young and innocent be born into Exploration Teams so frequently? Into the care of young inexperienced children by the looks of it, into a world of danger and death...

Repede reached the end of his leash a few meters away from the new team. He tugged slightly on it, and Lilium had to shoot a spike of psychic energy into the ground to keep her in place and not topple over. Repede was much stronger than her.

"Repede! Get back here!"

When Lilium saw the Snorunt feeding the baby right when it was about to cry, the over-motherly Cyndaquil jumped to her feet, horrified. That was an incredibly simple way to choke and kill the newborn. Crying involved taking several large breaths and then forcing it all out; without understanding the danger the child could breathe in with the food still down its throat.

"Child!" Lilium scowled, hopping off her seat to go over to the young explorers, relived to see the Togepi not suffocating to death. The lucky thing's swallow reflexes must have kicked in. "Do you understand how dangerous that was!? You do-not-feed-a-crying-child, it is highly- REPEDE!"

With the sudden slack on his leash, Repede gave it one hard tug that took it right out of Lilium's hand and the Poochyena charged into Meiso.
