Eri didn't really know what to say. 'I guess he's finally figured things out.....just wonderful' she thought. She sighed. "What I'd really like is some tea.I haven't had any in such a long time." Eri remembered how when she felt bad her nanny would fix her a cup of tea which always did the trick."So.....I guess you have more questions,yes?" She knew that eventually she'd have to answer Kumizu's questions.

Eri smiled. "Alright, let's talk about.....ummmm...." She thought about a few things."Oh I know!Maybe you could tell me alittle bit about ummmm.....everything!" She laughed a bit. "Honestly, I have no clue what half the stuff you or the girls were talking about. I didn't want to ask because I didn't want any of you thinking I'm an idiot."

"How about this whole concept of clothing. Don't get me wrong, I like clothes but, why do I have to wear them all the time? What's wrong with just getting undressed whenever you want?" Eri really hated the whole concept of modesty. Back at home, clothing was only worn during the winter and at meetings. Here she was forced to wear her clothes constantly, depite the heat. She was half tempted to strip down right then and there.

((GIRLFRIEND?!?!?!?!? scream Where the hell did that come from????))

Eri tilted her head slightly. "Ummmmm...What's a girl friend?"She never heard of a girlfriend before. "Is a girlfriend something you're suppose to have?" She looked at Kumizu curiously.




(( *twitches* I ummmmm.......yeah.............hey wait a minute!!!!! SPY!!!!))

((I knew once we started going to the mall you would try and hook us up... stare I wasn't sure when I wanted to say it, though. Yes, I have a Ria girlfriend! But, you SPIES have to remember you don't know this IC! ...so you still kinda have to be making plans to hook us up...))

"... Well, you know, there are a lot of different types of relationships. There are people who of course hate each other, are friends with each other, and others are married and have children. Having a girlfriend, or boyfriend, in your case, basically means that although you're not married, you two still love each other. It's like the step before marriage."

Kumizu left it at that. While he still appeared pleasant on the outside, he was in deep thought. I met her in a bar, long before Ria... where could she be? Stepping into a restaurant, or cafe, or bar, always brought back bad memories for him, but they were usually easy to suppress. This part of the conversation seemed to bring them back to the surface. He withdrew a bottle from his pant pocket, opened it, took a drink, then closed it and put it back. "Before you ask, I don't think you'd like it."

Eri felt very uncomfortable about all of it. None of this made much sense to her. " So.....a girlfriend is like a mate?" Just saying the word made her feel even more uneasy.Her customs had taught her that if you spoke to someone else's mate that was bad news. She remembered one story of when two females fought over one male and they both ended up dying. Eri shuddered at the thought of Kumizu's "girlfriend" fighting her. Without saying another word, she stood up and made her way out of the cafe. 'I can't be around him.....He's claimed, not that I liked him that way! No, of course I didn't! Well....maybe just alittle.....'She glanced back at Kumizu, a hint of sadness in her eye, before walking out the door and vanishing from site.
