I know that what he did was awful, and you have every right to hate him for what he's done. But please, I beg of you, don't ever consider a child to be darkness. They are a chance for you to leave your mark on the world, to prove to those that doubt that love, however fleeting, can exist and make miracles happen. As a young father as well, please don't let your hatred cloud your mind, and realize that no matter what happens between you and the father...This child WILL love you.
