Henna shook her head. "I'm sorry but I would not be doing my job if I sold them to you, but If you want a new dress or something I'd be more than willing to make you one." She smiled softly and glance up when she heart Grant's voice. "Oh! Grant my little Kitty! How I have missed you!" She walked away from the cart to embrace the Neko boy. "I made you something while I was traveling, I've had far to much time on my hands.” She took his wrist and towed him back to the cart, taking out her bag she unearthed a tightly knitted black cotton cap with space for his ears to stand up in. She held it out for him hoping that he would not find it atrocious or anything.

The Captain Kitty remark almost knocked Niro off his seat. He tried his best to hold in the laughter, but it was too much for him to control. Finally he burst out in a heartful laugh. After attempting to clamp his mouth shut and failing, he manage to calm himself down. "Ye...yeah," he coughed to relive the excess laughter in him, "Yeah, it's like I'm his little punching back. Not that I really mind. Like what my mama use to tell me." He cleared his voice so he can correctly voice how his mother sounded. While he waved a finger back and forth to mimic her action. "What doesn't kill ya, makes ya stronger. So quite your whining. Haha, ah mothers. Go figure." Niro looked over to the window. Wow, the sun is about to set. Has it been a full day already. Well, it's ok so long as we get back before the party.

User ImageJewlet closed her bag and pit it away. "Well. Let me think about." She sighed and put the cloth back. "Greetings, Sir Grant." She said bowing and then looked over at Henna. "Yes, sir." She looked up at the sky. "Hm. I can take care of that letter now, if you wish me to." She watched Henna's actions and then put her head down. She didn't really like the thought of someone other then her mother making her clothes.

Grant never liked how Henna treated him like a child. Especially seeing as he was 28 and Captain of the guard. "Thank you Miss Henna." He said as he tried to put the cap on. Even the cap was made for a kid. "I'm sorry to be brief but I must get ready for the royal dinner." Grant Bowed slightly. "Jewlet," Grant said turning to face her. "I need you to distribute tonight's orders. If I'm not in my office my room is over there." Grant pointed to a door at the opposite end of the balcony from his office. "Till them Jewlet." Grant said with a bow.

Henna nodded. "Of course. Will you be free for a fitting tonight? I am really to far behind to even think about taking today off if I want everyone to look their best for the coronation." She sighed and picked up her traveling bag in one hand and a long bolt of silky grey fabric in another, hoisting it up over her shoulder. Her face showed a fraction of her tiredness, but she knew that she had no time to rest between now that the prince’s crowning. She smiled at the thought that she would be the person who probably looked the worst during the ceremonies. It had really been a back choice to travel for so long.

User ImageJewlet turned to Grant. "Yes." She watched him go on his way and then turned to the gate. 'My mother is waiting on me.' She thought heading out of the castle. It would be quiet a walk, but it wouldn't bother her. She stopped at a cloth cart and looked through them. She had found it much more cheeper and easier to just buy the cloth and have her mother make it for her. "These three." She held up the fabrics.
"Yes, Ms. Ivie." The man said. She had come here to this man quite offten. The cloth was made her by his wife. "How is your mother?" He asked as Jewlet handed him the money.
"She is well and how is your family?" She asked him as the change was given to her.
"Well, very well." He answer. "When you see your mother, tell her I say hello."
"I will." She bowed and headed for her mothers.

"Of course." Grant nodded. Seeing Jewlet leave he thought for a moment. "Well we have a few minutes if you would like to get it over with." He said. "O, and no kinds clothing either. I'm not having a repeat of the counsel's ball." He remembered well how he was the only solder in a child's mock uniform. Yet another reason why no one above him takes him seriously.

Henna laughed lightly and headed off towards her workroom. "Follow me then...I really liked that outfit." She said and let herself into the castle though a doorway held open for her by one of the guards who was helping to unload the cart. She loved having helpers. Even if they were only helping because they had been ordered to, she loved having their respect or the time being.

Once up in her workroom she got to reorganizing everything she would need, which was everything. She restocked her fitting bag, and started to get the suit she had been making for Grant in working order. A sigh passed though her lips and she walked out to the doorway to flag down a maid. She asked the girl to fetch her lunch and a pitcher of water, then went back to work. Her delicate hands danced over the light fabric and she watched though foggy eyes as the suit started to come together.

((Wow. Really long. ... Heh. Sorry about that. Well, the big chunk in italics is just a bit of backstory in the form of a dream sequence, so you can skip that if you want.))

Amanae floated down, or, at least, she watched the clouds slowly drift further and further above her; she had no sense of her own body, so she couldn't feel any movement. Slowly, dreamily, her ghost-eyes turned and looked down, gazing affectionately at the endless, deep green sea of ancient trees. 'Home,' she thought proudly, without any hesitation or doubt. She was above her home.

As she gradually grew nearer to the canopy of leaves, she could make out landmarks, like the clearing where her brother Oedas had set up a shooting range for her, the nearby town, and a river. She tried to will herself in that direction, knowing that the royal horses often grazed on the banks of that river, but there was no visible effect; she simply continued down, passing through the leaves, through a roof, and finally into the grand ballroom of the palace that was her home.

She looked around, fascinated; there was obviously some kind of court function going on, and the nobles were clothed in their shimmering best. Her eyes stopped for a moment on her oldest brother, looking much, much younger than he did in the real world and flirting with a young noblewoman, and then again on her father, talking and laughing with such vitality that it seemed silly to her that she had believed him dead. Obviously he wasn't.

Finally, Amanae found who she had been looking for. Up until the point that she saw the small, lost figure, she hadn't known that she was looking for anyone, but this didn't bother her very much. She moved forward, passing between courtiers like a spirit and staring intently at the child's face.

It was a little elfin girl, about ten or eleven years old, with pale, intricately braided hair, as well as the lightly golden skin that marked her as carrier of the blood of the royal family. The expression on her small face was caught between anger and absolute panic, and she scanned the room frantically; at one point, she looked straight through where Amanae's waist would have been, had she possessed a body.

Finally, the child's eyes focused on a group of children off in one corner of the room, and her face lit up as she fairly ran toward them. Amanae floated after her, feeling oddly apprehensive. As they drew closer the cluster of children, Amanae began to make out what they were saying. "...Kiiria spent a whole day with her, didn't you Kiiria?"

A small brunette elfling nodded. "She was an absolute barbarian, I swear. All she wanted to do was pretend to be knights and shoot at targets. I always wondered why His Majesty kept her off by herself, and..." She trailed off as she noticed the little blonde Amanae had been following, who was standing stock still a few feet away, and looking as though she'd been hit in the stomach. "Oh," she said, "Your Highness!" She pulled her face into a concerned expression, but her bright green eyes danced maliciously. The little princess' reaction would be taken as confirmation of her story, and she knew it.

Amanae watched as the princess herself came to the same realization. Shame and fury coalesced into something horrible, and she stepped toward the other girl. 'Don't do it,' Amanae thought, but it was too late. The little royal's fist suddenly shot forward, slamming into the smug face in front of her, and--

"Your Highness!" Amanae started forward in plush green armchair, her right hand automatically moving to where her sword normally hung. Instead of meeting the cold steal of a hilt, her hand brushed soft, pale yellow silk. She blinked. "Oh, I'm sorry to have startled you, Your Highness," the same voice said nervously. Amanae looked up to meet the eyes of another maid, though this one appeared to be a young Neko girl with wide, concerned eyes.

"...That's alright," she replied sleepily after a moment.

The girl smiled, obviously relieved. "If you please, Your Highness, I've drawn the bath you requested."

Amanae noticed an open door, from which a surplus of steam drifted, and gingerly got to her feet. "When is dinner?"

"We have a while, Your Highness, but I'll need most the time we have to get you ready."

Amanae nodded absently as she walked into the warm, humid bathroom. "Alright. I'll be out as quickly as possible." She shut the door without waiting for the girl to ask if she needed any help undressing. Gods above, maybe being a princess really was the same as being an invalid in most people's minds.

User Image "I wouldn't know," the Prince spoke low and solemnly, he and his mother had never been particularly close. It was not that they hated one another or anything of that sort, she simply never had much time for him and his brothers. But despite this, he always knew that his mother loved him. She provided him with the best nannies and caretakers, hired the best tutors and fed him the finest foods cooked by the finest chefs in the kingdom.

Noticing the sudden silence, Cyrith decided it was time to perk up, life was to short for doubt, "You know, you still have yet to answer my question about the Princess."
