It's a definite yay when they actually do research and cite sources. That's definitely more than I would have done to get in. xp

Hey! I was going to post that. I got in my e-mail when I checked it yesterday, and I really liked it. A big a** YAY for being coherent, citing sources, and kissing my a** with that whole "Proffessor Lord Vyce" thing. It's a big plus when they send compliments, adoration or bewbeh pictures.

Son of Axeman was an active member in the old guild and applied again. Should I let him in?

Can we get another vote on emo-fairy? We have 2 yays and a nay, and she's come up onto the bottom of the list.
Oh, and chiku gives Sagetim a yay.

Yay for Emo-Fairy And also, yay or nay to this candidate? Rime_Solitaire Yuko Yamiyama Rime_Solitaire Yuko Yamiyama Rime_Solitaire I like to read. I am currently reading The Red Badge Of Courage. I also play soccer. My main interest is Science, but that is suprisingly where I lack the most. I apsire to be a doctor. I can play the guitar and am working on the piano. I also like to draw, though I'm horrid at it. Boys are cool to. sweatdrop Even though they are not the meaning to life. I am currently writing a story, a novela, if you will. I'm not certain if it will be any good, though. Hmm...alright, so what do you think of books, and other various media's impact on society? How do you feel it can affect the nation, nay, the world ay large, and what would you change about it? Books primarily, cannot really negatively affect society. All books are based on something, and if you don't care for the subject than you will not read it. As far as brain-washing young children( Harry Potter), that is very false. Fiction books are just that; fiction. Non-fiction books are based on facts and events so therefore they can only further educate a nation. Music/music vidoes and televison, however can negatively influence someone into accepting omething as the norm. Say thirty years ago, the booty-slapping, cussing rap vidoes would have been appalling. But, the media has slowly pushed the moral ethics downward. During the 50's, showing your navel was simply unacceptable;now you can watch television and see to people almost haivng sex.In order to keep some dignity, there should only be the clearly unaccecptable shows on past 10Pm, keeping the younger children from viewing explicit material. Also, alot of shows should be editied for content before they hit the air, due to the growing number of completely unaccecptable shows on televison during the daytime and early prime time. Obviously, the negative affect on the world is clear. Younger children will see this behavoiur on television and view that it is all right for a 10-year old girl to dress like a street hooker. Also, extremely violent vidoes games can teach kids and teens how to commit violent acts against society; leading to a number of murderers and rapists. Hmm...may I ask why you think this, and what statistics there are to prove this fact? I took this as mainly an opinion question. But nevertheless.... Video Game Violence, Source #1 I think this due to violence in the world, some of it contributed to by video games.( ))Columbine MassacreNot of the same cloth most of us are, but seems capable enough. I give her a yay
