Dante had sat by the side of the bed for as long as April had been unconscious. It had been a number of hours since she fell. The sun had already gone down. The moon gleamed in the sky. Dante was illuminated by the moonlight. April stirred, and her eyes opened.

"Dante...." I said weakly. My head hurt I don't think anything was broken. "Were you here the whole time?" "yes." Then he pulled me into a tight hug.

He was so glad that she was ok. He was so glad that he couldn't think of anything to say. Tears began to form and rolled down his cheeks.

The night was long and quiet. They wound up holding each other until they fell asleep in each others arms.

I woke up the next morning I guessed Dante was already up. I went to go make breakfast I needed to grabbed a knife to put some butter on my toast. He took it out of my hand. Do you know how hard it is to eat pancakes with a spoon?

Dante woke up. He saw that April was still asleep. He walked around the house for a bit. When he arrived in the kitchen, he saw April. She grabbed a knife. A flash of her cutting herself entered his mind. He took the knife and handed her a spoon. He didn't want her to cut herself, and he really didn't want to have the dark thoughts return.

Ok then it was just annoying I picked up a fork. Fork disapeared. Sprook pulled a hodini. Forget it. I sat down and watched Tv.

Dante became so afraid of April cutting herself that he kept taking any sharp utensil that she picked up. She seemed kind of annoyed with it. (I'll tell her later) he thought to himself. He wanted to give it a bit of time before he talked about it with April.

Dante sat down on the couch. Although he planned on telling her about it, he didn't have a lot of faith in himself. In his mind he was certain that if he told her that she would be freaked out.

Before April had said that, Dante was just about to tell her what had been bothering him. After he heard that, he was unsure if he should say it. But he felt that he should say something. And so he said it. "The reason why I've been taking sharp things from you is because when I saw you as you were the other night, I had unpleasant thoughts. Thoughts of when I used to eat humans..."
