When you work at a video store the OMFGLOOOOST gets amped up to eleven, because you're constantly dealing with people foaming at the ******** mouth because they've just started from the beginning and are so excited about it and talk to you like you must not have known it exists. Assholes.
Anyway, I think britv looks so shiny because we only get the best of the best around here, and even then we don't. Releases of major English television shows on DVD are sporadic and expensive, even in Canada which is ******** nuts because our government ponied up cash to help fund Eccleston-to-Current Who (well ******** spent too, because it got my a** onto the TARDIS). I mean ********, ever heard of a region one DVD release of Skins? I thought so.
As for real supremacy, damn I'm not so sure. Sure Who is the juggernaut of Sci-fi and Skins is sheer brain damaged brilliance, but ******** we've still got Battlestar Galactica, Californication, Dexter, The Wire, Breaking Bad, True Blood, and on and on. It is a very good time to be watching stateside television if you've got broadband internet or an account at your local video store.
But yeah, in case you haven't spotted it yet, I quite like Skins. Want to see where the star of Slumdog Millionaire came from? Want to understand Tony's sig? Want to be one of the cool kids? Yeah, I've been pestering you about it since you showed me Blackpool, but I do not give up easily.
For more classic stuff, there's always Black Adder for the Laurie/Atkinson ******** and Atkinson's cop show The Thin Blue Line was hilarious. People tell me the original Queer as Folk is naff, but Russell T. Davies was one of the driving forces behind it from what I hear, so that bears investigating.

Ricochet Rita I feel kinda ill now... I just read that Keanu has signed on to play Spike in a live action Cowboy Bebop movie. gonk I dunno, I think he could do a good job. I'm more worried about who they'd cast for Ed and handle her whole dynamic.

I probably heard about it earlier, but for sake of sanity, i had a "three times hearing to fully comprehend" thing going..gave ame a few chances to disbelieve the illusion.

Why the hell are you wishing destruction upon him and not the casting director and/or the executive producer?

Mitchell Hundred Why the hell are you wishing destruction upon him and not the casting director and/or the executive producer? Killing who cast him will still leave him in the role. He must be destroyed.

Chris Powell stare You know what must be done... If killing him is distasteful perhaps a good maiming is in order. Oh please, Spike in the begining was pretty neutral in feeling and emotionless, if he goes a little Neo mixed with Johnny on him he'll do alright. I'm more caring who they get Jet for. Need to really hit that connection between them.
