The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ At the Teru's words, she drew in a shaky breath and latched onto his arm tightly again, burrowing into his side and blocking the hated enclosed space from her plain of view. "J-just... j-just go!" She begged him. "B-before I... before I can't...!" She knew she was still trembling but she at this point she just didn't care. She'd throw away her dignity if she could just escape that hellish metallic prison. My Song is a Shining Light

Gannon… 
He nodded, leading the Reyvateil by the arm into the elevator. [Take a deep breath. Try and calm yourself.] He continued to speak in Hymmnos to Hikari. [It will help if you close your eyes. Try and forget where you are. Picture the open fields we past. The sights, the sounds. Try and picture all of it. Before you know it, we'll be done and this will be over.]

The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ Hikari couldn't do anything but nod. As soon as they stopped, she knew that they were inside. She made the mistake of cracking one eye open to see the enclosed area around her and she went from simply latching onto Gannon's arm this time to gripping his middle in a death-hug and hyperventilating. Hikari did her best to continue listening to the Teru's voice and pictured what he had been telling her to do. She imagined looking over the edge of Fa Ciel when they made it outside. She imagined the vast sky and down below the Sea of Death. Wide open spaces. Open. Free. As a bird.
At least Gannon was there. At least Rhaplanca was there. At least everyone was. If only she could stop having those terrifying flashbacks every time she was shut into a tiny metallic room...My Song is a Shining Light

Mana followed suit and filed into the elevator, sighing when she noticed that, yet again, Hikari seemed to be having trouble. She didn't catch Ishira and Gannon's conversation, mainly because she never bothered to learn the one side of her family's native language. She figured that Miko could fill her in later, seeing as that girl was a Teru geek.

As they walked, Miko quietly listened in on Gannon and Ishira's conversation. She idly wondered why Gannon chose to switch to Teru, but shrugged it off. She figured there must be some reasoning behind it. Then, she noticed Hikari beside him and it dawned on her. It must be something that he doesn't want her to hear. Just then, the Reyvateil beside Gannon stopped dead in her tracks, again freaked out by the elevator and its cramped quarters. Miko could sympathize with Hikari. She reckoned that it was slightly the way she felt when climbing. Which, she realized wasn't too far off in her future. She paled slightly. Between us and each of our phobias... She thought wryly. Miko stepped into the elevator next to her twin and shook her head.

When he watched his younger sister panic again, he stood by and allowed the Teru to lead her into the elevator. He stepped in after them, finally giving in and putting a hand on her head and ruffling her hair affectionately. "It'll be okay, Kari," he murmured soothingly before drawing his hand back and continuing to just watch over her.

As soon as everyone was inside, she closed the door to the elevator and closed her eyes in relief. I made it, were her last coherent thoughts before darkness took over.
Light flashed around the Goddess, once more revealing nothing but little Nel. She blinked her eyes and looked around. "...where am I?" She took a step but tripped with the sudden halt of the elevator and fell right into Gannon just as the doors were opening once more. "Oh, no! I'm really, really sorry, Gannon!" She apologized, bowing over and over again. "It was an accident! I mean it!"
She turned to see Rhaplanca and Ishira. "Oh, hey! It's nice to see you guys again!" She chirped with a smile and a wave. "I must have fallen asleep... Did we make it to Ce Palym yet?"

Gannon…
As Hikari switched her grip from his arm to his waist, all he could do was wrap an arm around her to try and comfort her. He understood all too well what she was going through, but there was only so much he could do at the moment. [This will be over soon, and then we'll be in the city. Just hold out a little longer.] Soon, the elevator doors slid open and the ride was over. Before Gannon could step out, there was a flash behind him and he was knocked to the floor. "The hell!?" He rolled over and saw the young, mint-haired Reyvateil standing over him. "Not again..."

The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ As soon as the doors opened Hikari tore herself away from Gannon and fell out of the door on her hands and knees, taking in deep, ragged breaths. She turned around only to see Gannon sprawled out on the floor with Nel standing above them. "N-Nel?" She asked, confused. When had Nel come back?
"Gannon, are you all right?" She asked, worried for her Vanguard. When she was sure he was okay she sighed in relief that the ordeal was over.
Then a thought occurred to her. It was going to happen again if they went back down the Tower. Still settled on the floor, she looked imploringly at Gannon. "Do you think... next time we go down... could we please just climb instead?" She pleaded with the Teru.My Song is a Shining Light

Nel held out a hand for the Teru. "Please at least let me help you up," she said, head lowered in apology. "I don't know why I always crash into you of all people, but it's really embarrassing," she admitted. "So, we're not out of the Tower yet? But where do we go next? I'm lost. Unless we go straight ahead to that door." She pointed ahead to a door with a terminal next to it.

Gannon…
"You got it, Hikari." He said. He waved off Nel's hand as he stood and brushed himself off. "I'm alright, kid. No worries." He extended his hand to help Hikari up. "No more elevators." He glanced at Nel, curious as to why she had reverted back to a child form. But that was a question for later. "Alright, we're here. Let's move."

Melody slowed and pressed herself against the tunnel walls of the inn, trying to stop the pounding of her heart as she heard the thundering and crashing from the rooms above inside of the inn. She put a hand over her mouth and Zek's, trying to stifle the sounds made from their heavy breathing. They weren't in danger of being heard, but she wanted to be able to hear what was going on above. They had reached a fork in the tunnel. She looked left and right, trying to determine which way was likely safer. She decided upon going left and pulled Zek with her. "This way," she whispered. "Hurry!" Melody prayed to the Goddess that they hadn't barricaded this way...

  Rhaplanca Rhaplanca was surprised to see the goddess revert to the young girl from Seraca. She exchanged confused looks with Ishira. Once the elevator opened and everyone started to exit after the recovering Hikari she approached Nel, "Lady Nelia...?" She was concerned for the memory lapse that was Nel, "You don't know where you are?" this was not good. How would Rhaplanca find Rhemi? Just when she found the Goddess it was apparent she was somehow having memory and personality lapses.

Rhaplanca was a little jealous of not being able to understand Teru, this must be how Ishira feels. She couldn't dwell on it though because she was growing concerned for Lady Nelia. She couldn't quite put her finger on it but something was off. She seemed to be becoming more aloof and exhausted by the minute. Before she could ask the Goddess, Hikari had become visibly tense and distracted Rhaplanca.
