๑๑๑๑Starting at the base of the outer crevice walls, Hideo canvased his way up tier by tier trying to find anything that could help the village figure out just what the heck was going on. The place wasn't exactly deserted, however shinobi were definitely more scattered than they usually were at the gates. It seemed everyone was working overtime to get to the bottom of what was happening, and the boy pondered if this was the type of large scale confusion whoever orchestrated this intended. Still, the instructions over the P.A. system made it hard for any one area to remain unoccupied by shinobi, they were all moving in a distinct order around Sunagakure to ensure no area was left unmanned much less occupied by more of the constructs than necessary. For Hideo, this was as good an area as any to start his search.

Approaching the crevice that acted as the gates of the village, his eyes shifted up and down the stone carved structure expecting to find the pumpkin devils. His sharingan glowed hot red.
๑๑๑๑As his first search from bottom to top proved fruitless, Hideo took another look around going from top to bottom this time in an attempt to perhaps zero in on something he may have missed on his initial search. Eyes his eyes scanned the area he stopped closer to the bottom, scratching the back of his head and sighing. This was growing tiresome with every waking moment. He wanted to find something quickly, and so far he wasn't exactly having the best of luck.

As it turned out, Bast had gotten worked up over a squash that had fallen in the sand. After realizing the error of her ways, she turned it into a diligent follower of her cat's carriage, a squire to a royal feline, and then moved on.

That was it. A pumpkin. She claimed it quickly before anyone else could, then added it to her collection. It seemed that Cactus Bast had lost her trail. Either that, or this was just incentive to keep looking; the world may never know. She rolled out with a swarm of 8 pumpkins behind her now.

It took her some time to reach the entrace of the village but soon Ferrah made her way to sandy crack her village passed for a door around here. Honestly there was so many cracks and rocks and sand that someone could hide a pumpkin here that it would easily take a full team of nin to scope out every inch. Ferrah had none of that or even any sensory abilities capable of picking up these foul squash. She would have to settle for checking everything by hand.
Luck favors the bold as they say and it seems Ferrah fit that category well as she spot a pumpkin hidden in one of the smaller splinter cracks of the entrance. Using her lithe size advantage Ferrah was easily able to retrieve the squash though to her disappointment the pumpkin hadn't contained any information she could use. "A decoy it seems." Though she decided to keep it anyway Ferrah stormed back into the village.
๑๑๑๑Coming back to where he started off, Hideo figured why not give it a once over now that his doujutsu was active. Perhaps he'd missed something earlier.

๑๑๑๑As he stood on the third to last tier of the crevice, another pumpkin appeared trying to wrap its vines around Hideo's legs. This time however, eyes activated, he saw it coming moments before it tried, jumping backwards and throwing a kunai into its face as he did. As it broke open and he landed, He rushed forwards grabbing his kunai as he did, jumping off of the tier he was on towards the desert floor. Looking at his kunai, he found he'd stabbed a small scroll with what looked like part of a triad of information. It looked like part of a map...of the village! He needed the other pieces however, clearly this information was not intended for him. Stuffing it in his pocket, Hideo began to take his leave.

๑๑๑๑ As he neared the entrance of the village, a slightly larger pumpkin poofed in front of him blocking the crevice shooting two vines with thorns on them. Slicing the first stalk meant to grab his arm, he then threw it at the pumpkin itself as the second vine met its mark around his left leg. Gritting his teeth as the thorns attempted to pierce the thick boot, it slammed him on the ground before his kunai found the pumpkin's grinning face. As the dust kicked up as his body ricocheted off the ground, the vine around his leg disappeared as the boy stood slowly. Dusting himself off and walking towards the pumpking, Hideo knelt and picked up his kunai, rooting around in the gourd flesh with it until he found another small scroll like the first one.
Fishing the first one out of his pocket, Hideo held one in each hand as he balanced on the balls of his heels still crouched, his eyes zooming in to all of the details of each piece of the puzzle. With a sigh he realized there had to be a third. Standing and wrapping both back up meticulously, the genin stuck them in the small pockets of the inside of his jacket. Sighing, he slumped to one side as he crossed his arms in thought. Perhaps it made sense that if whoever had this planned hired rogue help, they didn't want any of them knowing too much on their own in case of capture. He needed to check around the rest of the village, and quickly.

Saiko walked around the entrance, searching for another pumpkin. He had been doing pretty well as he had found a pumpkin in most of the places that he had searched. Even found some clues as to where he needed to go. This inspired him to keep looking to find as many of the pumpkins as possible and get rid of them. The boy made sure to look absolutely everywhere as he searched through the gated area. "Come out, come out where ever you are."
