Training
December 15th, 2005

Diary;

Finally my arms have stopped hurting long enough to let me write in you! Huzzah, yay me and all that jazz. heart

For the past week or so I've been getting up REALLY early and training with Momma! And I mean REALLY training! I'm usually still SO tired once she wakes me up, but by the time I'm all stretched and ready for the drills, I'm wide awake. I know how to punch properly, and I know at least four different ways to kick now, plus the drill sets (I notice they're kind of like a dance...only more violent and less pretty...and they hurt the next day)! I'm so proud of myself for sticking with this, you know? But I just can't help it...it feels so good to push myself to the limits, even if I'm completely exhausted by bed time. A day or two ago Momma said if I wanted to she would teach me how to use fans like she does...and while I prefer staves somehow, I still said yes!

So now I'm stretching, doing all the drill sets once, then practicing with a heavy wooden fan until its fine to stretch again, then continue about the day. I've been taking naps too, so it really does help for the whole day thing.

My whole body hurt for the first few days, but Momma insisted that I shouldn't stop then. She promised me that it'd stop hurting once I got used to it, and really, she was right! I am feeling a lot better, and I hurt less when I wake up now.

I think I understand why the karate people on TV do karate. Its so much fun!

Ahh...Gotta run, bye bye!

Compiled Playdates!
Someone's been busy! =D

.[Olivia].

Vidya, escaping the rather loud cries of her new baby brother and baby neice and nephew, wandered into the grocery store to get some food. Instead, she ran into Olivia! She hadn't seen Olivia since her first day on Gaia (Actually, her first ten minutes on Gaia), so this really was a treat! Not at all surprising, Vidya was dragged off by her orange-haired friend for some trouble.

This RP is taking place in PM. To be compiled later.

.[Ezra].

Wow, a snake-type! Vidya almost wandered into an S&M store when she misread the shop's number, but eventually she got it right! This was her first meeting with Ezra, and after petting his scales and trying to decide if he was black on yellow or yellow on black, she looped him into helping her buy things. This RP is still in progress.

Read it here!

.[Elena].

Vidya, chasing down what she thought was Donny's wings, ended up in a bookstore, and near a little girl with shiney little stars in her hair! Wait, thats not Adonis! That's Elena! Naturally Vidya introduced herself to the girl, seeing as it was her goal in life to meet every Tale...actually, to meet as many people as she can, tale or otherwise. Upon discovering this girl was going to be a Princess, Vidya only happily bestowed the title of 'Hime' to the little girl, along with a gift of a star-coloured fae egg and the promise of making the girl wing-like barrets. This RP is still in progress!

X-Mas shopping!
That one tradition is stupid, Momma...

With Nio having taken Aurion for the day, Enoh decided that now would be a perfect time to do her Christmas shopping. Naturally, she forgot about one tiny little thing; the moment she said 'I'm going out!' a certain blue tale was instantly at the door, and putting her shoes on.

"...I guess you're coming with me?" Enoh laughed, staring down at the tale who was already putting on her boots. The question was answered, obviously, by a nod of the girl's head; apparently she had been eating, for the bun was trapped between her teeth and her lips while her hands were busy. "I'm going Christmas shopping, so I don't know how exciting that's going to be, dear...but I guess you can do your Christmas shopping at the same time!" By this time, Enoh had the door open, and was waiting for her daughter to go outside before her. As the Tale passed, however, the almost confused look wasn't lost on the shifter. "Oh, thats right...I forgot that you didn't know about Christmas..."

"I just know what's been on TV." Vidya admitted once she'd taken the bun from her mouth, partially to explain to her mother that hey, she knew something about the season, but not everything, and definately not enough to get by. "I know...that there's presents, and family get togethers, and an awful lot of food~" She rhymed off what she knew as she skipped through the door, counting it on her fingers, sadly enough. "But I like the whole shopping idea!" She grinned as she fell into step with her Mother, holding her bun in her gloved hand.

"Well...I guess thats the basics to it anyway." Enoh shrugged, leaning over and tearing off a piece of the bun for herself. "Christmas is a time for family...That wasn't what it was originally for, mind you...but thats what its for now. Families get together and exchange presents on Christmas morning, and a lot of the time, they settle down and have a really big dinner, with turkey and ham and everything! Naturally, Mieke offered to make the dinner, so it should be delicious." She grinned; already, she couldn't wait for the Christmas food! "You're also not supposed to tell anyone what they go, of course! Thats a surprise. Besides, if you tell, that makes you a bad girl, and if you're a bad girl, Santa'll give you a lump of coal instead of presents." Enoh nodded firmly, laughing at Vidya's almost worried look. Mentally, Vidya was hoping she'd been a good girl, because she didn't want a lump of coal.

After assuring her daughter that yes, she had been a very good girl (aside from the whole Monster deal in Inle's basement), but that was a long time ago and she'd redeemed herself since then (to which Vidya gave a relieved sigh), Enoh had lapsed into informing Vidya of all of the Christmas traditions she could think of; from the tree to the decorations to the food to the gifts to Santa and finally to kissing under a mistletoe. The shapeshifter knew that traditions were important to the family, not to mention Vidya loved to learn of them, so Enoh had taken the time to tell Vidya everything she knew as the pair went shopping.

Really, all the traditions sounded like so much fun; and she couldn't wait to bring things home to wrap for her friends! Not that Vidya had a lot of money to buy her friends gifts with, but she made due, oddly enough. The only tradition that sounded bogus to her was the Mistletoe; why on earth anyone wanted to kiss under a plant was beyond her, especially one that wasn't even a real plant! It was just a twig tied from the ceiling.

"Seriously, thats kinda gross~" Vidya made a face, partially sticking out her tongue, just to prove this point. The shop keep gave her an odd look after seeing it, but all she could do was grin at the poor keep in response.

"Ah, I bet you'll think differently when you're older; just don't go trying to be older, okay? Thats the last thing I need." It was Enoh's turn to make a face, and seeing her Mother pull something that like made Vidya burst into laughter.

"Don't worry Ma, I don't wanna. I wanna be a kid for as long as I can." Which was true, you got away with a lot more when you were a child! This was a good thing, you see! "But seriously, why do people wanna kiss, anyway?"

"You give Daddy and I goodnight kisses all the time, though."

"Well yeah, but thats family! I don't understand why you'd wanna kiss people outside of the family. It sounds silly."

"You know your Father and I weren't always family, right?"

"I kinda figured...You explained that to me when you an' Dad got married."

"We kissed before we became a family, you know."

"Why, though?"

"Because we did. You'll probably figure it out later, and hey, even you might enjoy it one day." By now, it was plain to see Enoh was teasing her.

"Bleh, I will not."

"Will too. Its inevitable."

"Its stupid." Vidya huffed as her Mother fell into giggles. Vidya gave up the argument; figuring it was an adult thing, and for that very reason, she'd never understand it even if she tried to. Not that she was interested in trying to, of course!

In the end, Vidya ended up changing the subject to get away from the stupid-sounding tradition of the mistletoe, and bring up something more important; like when they were going to decorate the tree. The rest of the trip was mistle-toe tradition free, and both Mother and Daughter made their way home with Christmas presents for their family and friends.

Christmas at the Shop!
YAY for huge gatherings!

.[X-Mas Party].

Aww Christmas...A time of Family, of Friends, of Gifts...and, of course, of MISTLETOES! Aww.

Vidya, complete with two outfits (The first being a reindeer outfit, and she applied special effects makeup to her skin to make herself less blue, and the second being her normal skin, plus her angel dress...worn after Tybalt proclaimed she should change), made herself more than comfortable at the shop, re-meeting old friends, as well as new ones. But the highlight of the night had to have been the two moments under the mistletoe, where Vidya got her first kiss! The first was purely by accident, and she gave the second; she misread Tybalt's stunned-but-surprised look for embarassment, and had to prove she didn't mind! Even though she still thinks Kissing is stupid.

So cute. =D

Later that night
...What did I do...?

After the Christmas party, the entire family had gone home exhausted; Vidya included, oddly enough. However...she found she couldn't sleep, not in the least. Shortly after she found this out, she found herself in the room alone; apparently Adonis didn't appreciate one little comment about Aurion, and it was that one little comment that prompted her golden brother to leave the room in a huff, more than likely to Harmony's room.

Restless and alone, Vidya paced her room, picking and poking at some of the toys she had, plus at a couple she had gotten from the party. They were all so cute! Eventually, Vidya gave up her pacing and merely sat on the chair that faced her 'vanity' (really, all she saw was a desk-thing with three mirrors, one straight and the other two angeled at its sides), staring at her own reflection in the mirror. Was her cut always that long...? No wait, nevermind that! Slowly, she picked up her brush and undid her long braid, settling for working away her restlessness by the calming, repetitive motion of brushing her abnormally long hair.

As she brushed her hair, she found her eyes simply staring forward until they went partially out of focus; her mind had wandered, and she was only happily reflecting the night's events. As her eyes went out of focus, however, they started to gain the slightest hint of gray to them. The longer she dwelled on the night, the lower her gaze seemed to be, until something shinging blue caught her attention; it was the jeweled flower Tybalt had given to her. A faint smile traced onto her lips as she focused her eyes on it, putting her hairbrush down to reach out for her treasured gift.

However, instead of reaching the gift, she sneezed violently into the back of that very hand. As sudden and surprising as the sneeze had been, it was nothing compared to what would come next.

During the sneeze, her hand had touched her lips. In the few moments directly following the sneeze, Vidya found herself frozen infront of the mirror, eventually moving her hand so her fingertips was all that touched her lips. Memories of the party had instantly flowed back to her; in specific, the memories of kissing and being kissed by Tybalt. The tale was sitting stock still, staring wide-eyed at her own reflection in her mirror. Slowly, a purple tint grew on her cheeks, growing darker and darker as she stared into the mirror. Equally slowly, she blinked once; and reopened them to find that they had turned a definate silver. Not that it mattered anymore, there was a more pressing issue at the moment!

"Wha---What did I..." She whispered to herself in disbelief, her fingertips still against her lips. "I...I kissed him...!" She wailed this only a little louder, but not loud enough to call attention to it. With a thoroughly embarassed, partially whining groan did Vidya finally move; and that was only to bury her burning face into her folded arms atop her vanity table. This was so embarassing! How could she ever face Tybalt again, after doing such a thing!

As she sat silently fretting into her folded arms, something chanted in the back of her mind; 'Stolen, Taken, Unwanted! He stole it. No permission. Just took it. Unwanted.' All of these she ignored, not truely hearing it, but not completely dismissing it, either. Those words were repeated over and over, getting louder with each time it was said.

Suddenly, Vidya sat up, her face still an interesting shade of purple, and her eyes back to their usual white. "...Naah. Not that important!" She told herself with a smile, her usual happy expression a big contrast to the one only moments ago, when she was about to die of embarassment. "Okay, now its time for bed." She nodded, finally feeling exhaustion tugging at her mind. With a yawn, she left the table, the mirrors, the jeweled flower, and those repeated words in her mind; instead climbing into bed for a good night's sleep.

Yay Celebrations!
January 5th, 2006

Diary;

I think...no wait, I know...that I like this Christmas thing. Its awesome! There's presents and wrapping paper and family time and yay! I had so much fun baking (though I'm still really bad at it; I'll admit that to you, Diary!), and wrapping presents...I kinda want Christmas to come back already. Anyway, here's a list of things I got!

+ KIMONO! (Its pretty and light light light blue with water scenes painted on it!)
+ Kimono stand! (To hang my pretty Kimono in my room, yay!)
+ Gypsy Outfit (So flowy. *o* And so ORANGE)
+ Chocolate (Yum~!)
+ Sweatshirts
+ Fatal Frame One and Three (I just need Tei's PS2 now. =D )
+ Sandals
+ Hijab (I can't spell this~, but it's a neat gray-purple)
+ mp3 player (YAY MUSIC!)
+ An egg!...With ice cream heaped on it...?

I know I got more...But I can't remember anything else! D: Oh dear, I'm fairly sure thats a bad thing, to forget this kind of stuff! Oh, but the egg Linneas gave me as a secret santa hatched! It turned into a SNOW FAERIE! Keeee~! Her name is Lenore, and she dances around my window. She's so pretty~ Here's a picture of her!

And while I'm at it, here's a picture of my Egg-thing!

I named it Ceris! I don't know why. I just...did.

Uhm...what else. Oh, New Years! Apparently New Years is really big; and I understand why, for once! Its the passing of one year into a brand new one! I kinda wish this new year wouldn't start off so cold, though! Oh well. Momma said you've gotta make New Years Resolutions, something that you're gonna try to keep up all year long. So I thought about it, and I've made these Resolutions for myself:

1. Meet as many people as possible.
2. Create a list of things 'to hug' and hug everything on said list.
3. To have a good year, no matter what!

...With that said, I think I'm gonna head to bed...so tired...

Night, Diary!

Nio goes missing!
...

(( Read From Enoh's Point of View here! ))

Vidya had been playing Fatal Frame in the basement for a greater part of the day; unsurprising, as it was the only repulsively frightening thing the tale would go near, and it just so happened to be brand new, and it didn't hurt it was her favourite game series so far. The only thing that distracted her from her game was food, the bathroom, and, naturally, Adonis' shriek of hatred, followed closely by such stomping up the stairs that actually shook dust from the ceiling. Putting the game on pause, Vidya had made her way upstairs to check out what was going on; and it couldn't have been good.

She was so adept at taking the shortest, tightest route to the staircase that she only just missed her Father walk out the open door.

On her way up the stairs she was met with the shriek of metal and the roar of engines as they took off from somewhere close to the house...and instead of walking like she would have, she ran up the stairs, sidestepping her Mother as the shifter ran back to the master bedroom. The tale ended up in Sieanna's room, climbing out the window to perch herself on the small ledge just outside. She was a little too late; by the time she had climbed out the window, the Space ship was just a shadow in the backyard, growing rapidly smaller and taking the noise with it.

Like her mother and older sister, Vidya was getting a queasy, nervous feeling. Even she could recognize it; something was wrong.

She lingered on the ledge a little longer, and by the time she climbed back into the house, the infants Aurion and Iva, were crying in distress, in tune with Enoh's frantic calls for Nio. Reaching the infant's room the same time Samira did, both Tahnee and Tale exchanged uneasy looks as they picked up Iva and Aurion respectively, trying their best to calm the fretting infants down. By this time, whoever was home was gathered on the hallway by the stairs, and Valen was nice enough to press his finger to his lips for silence, then to point the two girls' gazes towards the front door where their Mother had collapsed on hands and knees, crying.

Silence had taken over it seemed, save for the crying of Mother and Infants; nobody else knew what to do, nobody else could bring themselves to say anything, nevermind do anything. Even Teivel, for once in his life since he came to live in this house, looked utterly helpless. And then, the crying cycle was broken. "...Hm." Suddenly Enoh stood, her pose giving off grim determination. Though her crimson eyes were still puffy from crying, she turned to face them, her expression more commanding than anything they'd ever seen. It startled them beyond belief; many considered making a run for it. "Go upstairs. All of you." Her tone was harsh at first, so harsh it made them flinch. Enoh seemed to realize she was using a rather unwanted tone and automatically calmed herself down, returning to her motherly tone that they were by far more familiar with. "I mean...Mommy has some important things to do...and she really needs the house entirely to herself. Please go to your rooms and pack some things, alright? Get everything that necessary...but you can pack some things that you want. Think of it as a little vacation, okay?" She had smiled almost carelessly at them: she knew they were beyond worried by this point.

"...What do we do...?" Valen had whispered to Vidya, though Valen was older from the Calendar's perspective, Vidya was older in body and in some cases, mind...therefore, she could have some idea. However, like Samira, like Teivel, like Tino...well, like any of the older kids in the house; Vidya looked just as lost as Valen's voice projected. All they could do was stare at their Mother, unsure of everything.

"Alright now, please do as I ask...and meet me in the living room when you're finished, alright?" She urged, apparently noticing the hesitation. Though too stunned to know what to think or how to react, they did as they were told now; though they murmured amungst themselves in their confusion.

Vidya and Samira retreated to the babies' room to get their things ready; diapers, clothing, bottles, formula, everything. This was done in silence, but it was still plain to see that both girls were very much bothered by this; and there were even tears in their eyes. Still, like before, they couldn't bring themselves to say a word. Once the babies were packed and ready to go, Vidya took Aurion into her room, and Samira took Iva; neither girl was about to let the babies out of their sights.

As the tale moved between packing lightly and attempting to calm down her infant brother, she felt that queasy feeling come back; only this time it was so powerful she thought she was going to be sick. For a moment or two, Vidya stood with one arm against one of the rounded posts of her bed, leaning against it heavilly with her head bowed and her other hand clamped firmly over her lips. It had taken a while for her to actually straighten again, and she only did so when the need to be sick receeded once more. Quicker than ever she finished packing, and like she had been told, took Aurion and the two bags into the living room.

Enoh began talking, and while Vidya was trying her hardest to pay attention, she found she truely couldn't. That queasy feeling was coming back to her, and now more than ever, she felt hopeless. Her Mother, the one person who was supposed to have all the strength in the world, the one who was now taking charge of everything for their own safety, the one who used to be a mercenary...had been on the floor, crying helpessly as a broken woman. The girl's eyes went out of focus and she slipped into a sort of daze; not truely listening, but not truely ignoring. True she heard everything, but it seemed like nothing but a dream; an unwanted, twisted nightmare of a dream.

She wanted to wake up, right now.

Sadly, she never did wake up; the feelings of helplessness only got stronger, her heart only got heavier: so much so, she looked like she had lost all heart in everything, even as she silently gave her Mother a hug and a kiss goodbye.

Her family. Her family was broken. Something was happening, something that threatened everything she knew...and yet there she was, being pushed off to someone else's house...completely and utterly helpless to it.

It'd been a long time since the two had seen eachother, and in that length of time, both had grown! Jiro comforted her, and yet Vidya couldn't let herself cry; instead, she found a distraction in a promise he'd made to her when they'd first met, where Jiro would teach her Japanese! This RP is still in progress.

.[Tybalt].

After her meeting with Jiro, Vidya couldn't bring herself to go back to her Aunts house. Instead, her feet led her to Tybalt's! Even he could see she was depressed, and as awkward as he must have been, he let her cling to him until she finally broke down and cried. Once she'd calmed down, he showed her the plans for their very own ship, then ordered her to bed because it was obvious she was tired, and she wasn't going to sleep until he did. They fell asleep holding hands, aww! When she woke up, she forgot where she was and ended up clinging onto his arm, thinking it was some new soft stuffed animal...imagine her surprise when it wasn't! It was late, and it was cold, and Tybalt's wings were sore from being forced into such prolonged movements--this seclusion, this lack of activity was making him weak, he chided himself--but this had to be done. Tonight, no less, it had to be done tonight or else it would hold no meaning. He really should have done this earlier, but he was too busy putting it off. Now he was paying for it with chattering teeth and frozen limbs, but he was surprisingly not-mad about it. He hadn't seemed mad about much lately--in fact, he had been in good spirits ever since Vidya's prolonged visit.

Now, as he soared towards Vidya's house, he found himself almost happy in spite of his state of being. He was about to do something that was going to make Vidya very happy, he hoped, and though she would probably try to hug him--he found he didn't much mind the prospect of that either, now--it would be worth it to see the smile on her face. It was Valentine's Day, and he'd come bearing gifts.

Finally, Vidya's home was in view. Rather than touching down at the front door and knocking like anyone else would, he flapped towards a window--Vidya's window, he knew from previous visits. The ledge was small, and his wings flapped wildly as his feet tried to get a good hold on it. He flailed rather ungracefully as his talons dug in, trying to keep him upright, and he finally managed a not-going-to-fall position. It was awkward as hell, and he didn't know how long he'd be able to hold on. Carefully, he reached out and tapped on the window.

Vidya had been much happier as of late as well, despite everything that had happened, life was slowly and surely settling back into the way it used to be. She would be lying, of course, if she said her prolonged visit with her Captain didn't have a part in it. He'd been so nice to her! In all honesty, she wished she could have stayed longer...but hey, her family was back together again, and she knew that had to be dealt with eventually. Hadn't she always said Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today? Okay, maybe not always...but quite frequently recently.

It was late out of course, her parents had gone out for the afternoon, and as it stood now, Vidya was getting ready for bed. Her room was warm despite the outside cold, and thus she was free to wear her favourite, sleeveless gray nightgown as she wished because she wouldn't get cold once she'd gone to bed. As Tybalt was soaring towards her window, Vidya was untying her three braids and brushing out her long hair; a nightly ritual to limit the tangles she received in the morning, if any. Lost in her own world, Vidya hummed to herself as she sat in front of her desk and mirror, running her brush through the two-toned locks she'd pulled over her shoulder. Like every night for the past week, her eyes were more silver than white.

Naturally, the tap on her window startled her out of her thoughts. Visibly jumping with a gasp, she turned a bit to face the window, able to barely see someone crouched out there in the thin ledge. Cautiously she stood and wandered towards the window, staring for a few moments as her one good eye attempted to figure out who was out there. With another gasp she ran to her door and closed it, then ran back to the window and unlocked it, pushing it open regardless of the instant cold that came blowing into her warm room. "Captain~! Whattre you doing out there? Its cold!" She stepped back incase he wanted to come in; she apparently forgot she was in her nightgown as well.
PostPosted: Wed Feb 15, 2006 8:45 pm

"Knitting, Vid, what's it look like?" he snapped back good-naturedly, eagerly and awkwardly shoving himself through the window. That too was awkward, and he was minus a few feathers once he was safely inside. He shut the window behind himself before turning back with a sigh of relief. It was warm in here, and he did not relish the idea of a trip home--especially if he had to find a way back OUT that window.

"D'ya know what t'day is?" he said, the grin forming on his face growing wider as he looked her up and down. He certainly knew the answer to that question, although he wouldn't have if Inle hadn't remarked that she had to go candy-shopping the day after, and there was far too much pink involved, and shouldn't he get something for Vidya?

"You could've used the front door, Or you could've waited until tomorrow, sheesh!" Vidya retorted, unable to fight back the urge to stick out her tongue at Tybalt for being a smart a**. She was going to comment on his 'graceful' entry into her room, but in the end common sense won out and she said nothing, merely watching those few feathers fall. Even after he'd shut the window behind him she was shaking from the cold that had brushed into her room, and she'd lifted her arms and folded them before her in an attempt to keep herself warm.

"Today?" She blinked curiously; did he fly all the way over here to ask what day it was? If he did, that was mighty silly of him. A thin blush formed on her cheeks when she noticed he was looking her over...and in turn, she recalled she was in her nightgown. "Eeeeeh...Aheh...Its the 14th, right?" She thought over it for a moment; there had to be something special about this day for him to ask about it. "And that means its...Valentines Day?" She finally finished, leaning her head to the side in a most curious manner. Why would he care about Valentines Day? She always figured it would be too mushy for his tastes...well, she didn't always figure, she just figured now. Vidya had only learned about the Quasi-Holiday around lunchtime. "Why D'you ask?"
