Yumeko would look at Rowser. He hadn't checked in? She would let out an exasperated sigh."Alright, we are going to check in right now." It would take her a little longer to sit up, her having to hold her stomach. She would look down and see if the position had opened anything up. Her dress was still yellow. She breathed a sigh of relief. "Ok, let's go." She would hold her hand out for him to take.
She would lead him to a window, where he could give his information. On her face would be a poker face. In truth, she was in pain right now, but Rowser needed her. She would stay with him until he didn't want her there, then she would climb up to the dorm, and resume sleeping in an oversized shirt.
Rowser Rabbleman Team DRMY “Silence is golden. And that's also why I'm not stupid rich.”
Rowser watched as his friend punched pain in the face and hoisted herself up. Yumeko was such a heckin badass. Sure, she faltered a bit, but it wouldn't stop her. Why she did such a thing was beyond him.
Until, at least, Yumeko held a hand out for him. HHNNNNGGG!!!!! Rowser took her hand and squeezed it with watery eyes. “Thank you.” He whispered to her through a broken breath. “Okay, doctor peoples! I'm ready to not be broken anymore!” The boy shouted with the perseverance of his teammate. Whatever may or may not come, he owed his entire team a big Thank You.

Yumeko would watch as Rowser took her hand to get up. It seemed he was in a lot of pain as well. She would love to help him more, but she was reaching her pain limit. She guided him to the window, and watched as he gave his information. Once he was back with the doctor, she would start to move towards their dorm. He movement was slow, her breathing labored by the time she got there. She didn't have time to change like she wanted to, she would collapse on the bed, and pass out from the pain.

Ryker had not been himself, not entirely, after the incident. He couldn't really remember most of what happened, just going to the park one day and the next...finding out it had been a long time with him missing, only to return with one less arm than when he had disappeared. Sometimes he would forget that he had lost it. Every once in a while he would try to move his arm to grab something only to realize all he had was a prosthetic there. It could move, do basic things like grab, but he couldn't feel any of it. He wasn't even fully able to grab or move things with it yet; it felt so foreign for something that he used to do while not even thinking. It being his main hand, his right hand, did not help things either. He'd been having to struggle and use his left hand as a substitute, being frustrated with trying his new arm. 'What did I do to ******** up this badly,' he wondered to himself. He thought Grimm had been the main threat, only for something else to happen in the middle of Vale itself. No Grimm would've kidnapped him and dropped him back, that was for sure. The only good thing that had happened was seeing his family, Rowan, Tsuki and Co. when he had awoken. It had helped that first day but...ever since, being left in the infirmary with a new prosthetic arm and everything...being left to his thoughts. It was not good, and his gap in his memory was not helping any of it. They still came to visit, thankfully, but as soon as they left the thoughts would come back to him; it didn't help his scroll had gone missing and he was still awaiting a replacement. 'What am I doing anymore...I can't even use my arm yet I am still here, still a student. Am I really cut out or able to do this anymore?' he wondered to himself.
Despite the doubts and thoughts, he didn't ever resign or say this wasn't for him to anyone. He thought he could take a break, be safe in the walls of Vale, then he lost his arm. Nowhere was truly safe in the world anymore; and he didn't want to spend his time cowering and moping as well at home. He didn't want to live a life of fear, or someone else to go through what he did. And knowing Tsuki and Rowan were still there...Astra too potentially...it felt wrong to quit. 'But what can I even do now?' he wondered to himself. Along with his scroll being gone, he had also lost his weapon then too. Add on a useless prosthetic arm and he was more a liability than anything. Which led back to the paper he had tightly gripped in his left hand. Slowly bringing it up to his face, he saw the offer of possible cybernetics; something that would give him greater control of an arm again. Something offered just because he was a student here; an arm he could customize and weaponize as he wanted. Something he could use to protect himself; even others, if he could grow to be more than a liability. He recalled being told by Tsuki there were now a string of murders in Vale; some sick freak was killing off Beacon students left and right. Tsuki had even decided to go investigate it, even if he didn't want her to necessarily. Making her promise to be safe and not risk herself. It only reinforced the feeling of helplessness for him though; even if he went he'd only hinder her.
Ryker would let out a sigh as he moved the paper down to his side again as he stared at the ceiling. He had yet to tell anyone what he was considering on doing. He did not want them to feel pressured to push him one way or the other. And he wanted this to be entirely his decision, whichever way he went. "I can try to pretend none of this happened. Drop out, try soccer again. I don't need an arm for that..." he would say quietly to himself, mulling the possibility. A life of video games, sports, maybe fame had a ring to it. "Or I can stick to what I started. Try to protect others, fight back. Live an uncertain life of danger and death," he would finish. A much more bleak and unglamorous life; less focused on pleasures and joy of life and more on the reality of being the first line of defense. 'I guess it is decided then,' he told himself in his mind; it seemed a clear enough choice to him now. Less than an hour later, Ryker was in surgery.
▄ ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▄ After an undeterminable amount of time, Ryker would emerge from the surgery room a bit shaky but overall fine. In the place of his old prosthetic was a new arm of sorts; this one looked as if it were actually real even if it felt far from it in Ryker's mind. Right now, his arm had a few limiters on it until he got used to it; to prevent any accidents from occurring as he was told he would have to pretty much re-learn how to use it with its new limits. He was also told that later on he could augment it; once he had mastered the use of it at least. 'It seems a long time away though,' he thought silently as he willed the arm to move a bit. It moved a little bit, but to get it to move with "normal" speed and precision was not in the cards. To get it to move at that speed felt like he was moving it in water. Not the most promising of starts for this new piece of equipment, but he was told that eventually it may even react faster than his real arm. Looking down to the hand, he would practice moving his fingers yet feel nothing. That was also not enabled quite yet; they said when he came back in a day or two it would be activated though. 'The first day of many to come. I just hope I learn this fast, and I can forget this isn't real,' he thought. On the bright side for him, the surgery had been a success with no issues. So things were off to a good start at least. The main difficulty they warned him with this was just learning to control the arm; if they had left it without restrictions he could give himself a broken nose if he went to wipe his nose too fast. 'The faster I adapt to this, the faster things can go back to normal,' he resolved to himself as he left the infirmary for now. At that moment, his stomach would growl and he would grimace. 'One more hour...then I am going to an all you can eat buffet,' he promised himself, having not been able to eat that morning in prep for the operation and been told to wait at least an hour after to eat. He was really looking forward to endless pasta and pizza as something to look forward to. [Exit]

Poppy
"Last night I dreamt that somebody loved me.."
--------- The previous night was such an experience for Poppy, it was the first time in her entire life she had a restful sleep, no nightmares, no night terrors, no sneaking out to avoid a breakdown. She didn't want to admit the reason, however she knew it was Roq and their new open feelings for each other. Although, she still didn't know exactly what these were. The two of them slept in their separate beds, and she almost wanted more, but these feelings were so new and confusing that she would just enjoy a peaceful sleep.
The morning would be a mixture of awkward and amazing, she was concerned he would wake up and realize that he just got caught up in the moment, however he seemed to remain close-by and that must mean something positive. Poppy would get freshened up and they would walk to the infirmary together. She would wipe her eyes and yawn as they walked, a stretch of her wings as the arrived at the doors. "I don't think I've slept like that in all of my life.." she would say, her face going a little bit pink as she realized how that would have sounded. "I just mean I uh.. how did you sleep?" she would ask, changing the subject to him.
As they went through the doors together, Poppy would look around at how busy it seemed. There was a groan from a student closeby who was behind some curtains. She would grab Roq by his torso clothing and grip it slightly, evidently fearful of the place. Poppy was abused and used for her healing gifts for her whole life, especially when she was a slave for the tribe. The groans of people, the smells of illness just brought back all of the memories and she didn't know how to act. "Do you think I should help them all?" she would ask quietly, looking to Roq for comfort. "I don't want to have to do it though, they've probably got it all covered.. right?" she would ask. Although she wanted to help everyone and was a kind soul, Poppy just didn't want to use her powers over and over again to heal individuals, she was more than just that - and wanted to feel like it. Her hand would remain on Roq, she was a little bit shaky and was looking around at the environment in an attempt to become comfortable.
Rσϙ Oυɾɾσƙ could barely sleep last night with all of the tension. He slept facing away from Poppy because he couldn't bear the thought of staring at her all night. Though, that is what he wanted to do. Part of him was very happy that they would be getting their new room assignment sometime in the near future because he didn't know how he could stand it otherwise. What was this strange new passion inside of him? He was quite passionate in general, but this was a new kind of feeling altogether. It felt great to have it out in the open, but also terribly nerve racking. After his mind raced for hours he would eventually fall into a deep slumber.
The morning was pleasant. Simple, few words exchanged, but bright smiles. His arm would brush against hers once as he passed her to grab his toothbrush and that was enough to send chills and goosebumps up his arm. He would ignore it, but give an awkward chuckle and continue on with his morning routine. The walk to the infirmary was nice. The weather was hot as the summer was upon them, but the cool morning air kept it from being overpowering. He was in a sort of happy daze this morning. And he was loving it. He would put his scary halloween mask on though. He had grown attached to it.
He was happy to just be beside her. It felt like it was meant to be. A power team, or what was the that phrase- He would stop abruptly when she stretched her wings out.
"Wow... They are really much larger then they seem when folded." He wasn't sure he'd ever get used to that. She was just so small and petite, until her wings were out. It probably could scare a bear away. A useful trait. "I wished I was born a faunus and has wings."
"Oh, and I uh slept well..." She slept well, he couldn't get his mind off of how damn pretty she was. He smiled brightly and scratched the back of his head. They entered the hospital and heard some painful sounds behind curtains. He forgot how dreary this place was. It was more full than he'd ever seen it. The grimm had just gotten so bad that it was normal to have a dozen admitted at any given time it seemed. Poppy would grab onto his robe gently. This place obviously made her uncomfortable.
"You don't need to lift a finger, Poppy. If you want to, we can ask the doctor once he sees me." They signed Roq in and went to the waiting room. "You are never compelled to heal someone in Vale. It's against the law to compel someone to use a semblance, even a healing semblance. Though I do think if you caused the damage you may have certain duties too, but that's for civilians. Not Beacon Students. We have some special status or yadda yadda." He would place an arm on her shoulder and give it a gentle squeeze. That is when he noticed she was shaky. "I remember something like that during orientation, but, let's just practice restraint. I think that will help you get used to hospitals." It would be good for her getting used to the idea that she owes nothing to nobody. Not even him.
