"A five. Her performance was adequate but the results were incomplete. Neither a success nor a failure, therefore center of range." He remembered now. Home was a room in the Famine levels of the tower, a room in which they lived together, a comfortable room that was altered to suit them all quite well.

It was unsettling for the usually cool, calm and collected Baldr, to feel like his mind wasn't all fully there. Fragments felt missing, and what he did know felt disjointed. Safe to say, he was feeling uneasy as he walked the strange place he'd suddenly found himself in, bright eyes scanning what was around him, but making no real motion towards anything... .except the door. The ruff of his jacket gently brushing against his cheeks was a sense of comfort though, making him refrain from getting too unhinged with the confusion starting to steep. Maybe... he'd gotten sidetracked from something... perhaps he'd taken a nap somewhere and slumbered for too long, making his mind get a bit hazy?

But he was in the rehab center. That couldn't be a good sign...

His slow meander out, Baldr saw others in a somewhat 'dreamy' state like himself, a few checking a table, or looking out one of the windows. So maybe this wasn't just him feeling weird...? He wasn't sure if that was comforting or not.

Drifting towards the door even closer, he did decide to give some pause when he saw some sages walking by. Instinctually, he hailed them to stop, but once he did get near enough... his gut sort of tightened. Wait what would asking them anything do.... having seen the previous ones walking about, it didn't look like any seemed intent on giving much information. So when they instead asked a question, he simply gave a charming smile instead, and sidestepped around to slink out the establishment. Hands naturally pocketed, his fingers traced the phone and key he still had in his possession.

What the heck was going on...

What...happened?

Baby blues fluttered once before snapping open, and the young stallion was up and on his feet from one tick of the clock to the next. Calming only after a thorough search of the room to ensure that he was indeed by himself. Not that that answered many question. He had a vague idea of where he was, but the why remained a mystery, and Mial's mood only suffered further because of it. The gaps in his memory left him feeling twitchy and on edge, the feathers on his wings bristled slightly because of it.

It was also far too neat for his tastes.

Trying to shake off the tension that was settling into his shoulders, Mial took another look around the room. The window first, because of the spear that hung suspended in the glass, though baby blues quickly turned to the table, and the paper that was resting on it.

It was a survey, and the first question made him frown, confused, before the shambling mess of his mind provided an answer. Reaching into the pockets of his ripped cut-offs, he pulled out a phone. Turning it over and over in his hand before tucking it away again and picking up the pen.

Quote:
How was Dorothy’s performance? Acceptable.

Would you recommend her to anyone else? If they were in need.

On a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being the least, how well would you say your memory rehabilitation process is going? 3. Everything is hazy, and there are a lot of gaps.

In all, the survey spawned more questions than it answered, and no less agitated than he was upon waking, the stallion went for the door. He needed to find...anything. Harper. Where was Harper?

Famine doctors were milling about, but Mial didn't pay them much mind. Nor anyone else, honestly, until he came upon someone else that looked just as lost as he felt. He was talking to one of the doctors, Mial wandered over to listen in, curious.

Llydia

If there was one place that Llydia felt absolutely safe, and if there was one place she thought that she could undoubtedly spend the entire rest of her existence, it was within the strong embrace of her guardian. Instantly the worried edge that had come upon her awakening began to ease as she reveled in the feel of those muscles wrapped tightly around her middle, a cheerful, tittering laugh of glee escaping her as her feet were lifted up off of the floor. Her own arms were much smaller in comparison, willowy, and not quite able to wrap all the way around Aric's frame, but still she hugged him in return with all of her might, face burying against his chest as she breathed in the scent of him, the coils of unease in her stomach unraveling quickly.

The way he called her my lady never ceased to send shivers down her spine, and her smile only broadened as he set her back to the floor, large eyes locked on his as if they were the only ones in the room.

Which, of course, they were not. A fact that she could not ignore, especially when Aric was dragging Owl to the forefront, bringing attention to the poor soul from famine who looked as if he wished to have remained hidden.

"Owl~" She chirped, her smile not diminishing at all in brightness but her gaze less one full of infatuation and now more studios than it had been a moment before. "I am glad to see you are here, and looking well!"

As well as one of famine could look, at least.

"Are either of you feeling a little fuzzy as well? Or is it just me, as usual?" She blinked, looking between the two men, head tilting to the side.

Aric

He really could have stayed there and hugged Llydia for a very, very long time. She fit so perfectly into the circle of his arms, her smaller, more slender frame easily lifted, and Aric swung her around in a pleased circle, hearing her laugh like a chime of bells in his ears. He liked the way she pressed her face into his chest, liked the happiness that she could bring him.

A large hand descended atop Owl's head, Aric ruffling his companion's hair affectionately even as he kept his other hand on the small of Llydia's back, if only so he wouldn't lose either one of them in the crowd. He himself was large enough to be found easily, but his two favorite people were too small, and he didn't want to separate from them.

"I am feeling a little fuzzy as well," said Aric with a slight frown that didn't match his usual cheery expression. He glanced around at the people milling about, still ruffling Owl's hair absently and probably forgetting that he was even doing it in the first place. "My head is a little..."

He made a vague gesture with his free hand, a finger jabbing at his temple.

"But I suppose it is nothing too terrible, we are all here now and all is well," Aric added, beamingly, because it was true.

Sky blue eyes blinked, taking a moment to gaze up at the ceiling before sitting completely up and looking around the rest of the rather stark room. A shiver ran up the stallion’s spine as he slid off the table toes hitting the cold floor as Thias tried to remember why he was there or at least recount some recollection of how he had arrived. Nothing came to mind, nothing seemed right as he took in the rest of his surrounding as he considered it was all too modern for his liking. Where was Rook anyways? Usually he came to help Thias in his work, wouldn’t he have noticed him missing?

He snorted, typically the other stallion was always far too oblivious for his own good as he made his way to do the door picking up his cellphone on the way not hesitating to leave something so valuable behind. There was also no point in sitting around trying to figure out why he was there currently, doing nothing solved nothing. Instead he made his way down the hallway noting the other members of his clan who had achieved doing a poor job at buttoning up their clothes properly though. They would fool no one with the lack of paying attention to details.

Moving to the one with the unbutton coat he paused in front of them as if creating some sort of equal posture, because in some ways they were rather of the same status, or at least were in Thias's mind. “Pardon me, but you should finish buttoning up your jacket, that is if you plan on keeping the facade of attempting to be human.” The sage of course gave an flattened bored look as he looked up from the chart, his voice sharp in response as if having to deal with some sort of unforgivable colt.

“And you are?...”

Thias gave him an indignant look before waving his hand in dismissing him as he moved to leave via the elevator, which of course played the most boring of tunes he could have imagined.

Nnif

He was upright and moving before he even knew fully what was going on, single eye narrowed, mouth set into a stern line. He sniffed at the air even while his gaze takes the room. Too clean, too fresh and pristine. Where was the sand, the feel of grit beneath and between his toes, the sound of whistling wind whipping up a twirling frenzy, destroying dunes but creating more?

His eye landed on the window, of the spear thrust through it, and a lip raised in disdain. The work of some over enthusiastic war brute, no doubt!

To the table, which he approached with the dry swish of his many robes, eye glaring down at the paper which he swept to the side with a gesture of his hand, a scoff emitting from his lips as he began towards the door.

There was something off, here, and it annoyed him that he couldn't place what it was. All he could remember...well, nothing he could remember seemed helpful, and only put him further on edge, a disgruntled walking pile of laundry that made his way to the halls only to encounter others of his own clan.

"Nnif" He replied, with a sneer, as if their question was completely ridiculous, and then pushed passed them, out, out, through the crowds, gaze flicking to the horsemen gathered here and there until he spotted at least one that he knew.

"Owl." He hissed, loudly, in that too dry and raspy voice, paying no heed to the fact that the other sage was in the midst of company and conversation, while gesturing impatiently for him to join Nnif where he stood, away from the rest.

It was white, too white as Harper’s green eyes blinked a few times before sitting up taking in the room, unsure how she even had arrived there. It was plain, lacking in any sort of decoration or art, with the exception of the spear that seemed to be fixated in the middle of the window. Sliding off the table she moved over to it, giving a rather wide smirk at the whoever seemed to have done a remarkable job at jabbing it through the window. Outside she could see the pouring rain, it wasn’t her favorite thing, being wet made it hard to do things, made it hard to move sometimes as she ruffled her wings. After taking a few moments of studying the lights in the rain Harper left the room, still not knowing the full extent of why she had been there to being with yet she could at least gather from observation that the answer was not going to come while she was alone.

There were a few of the sage’s in the hallway, one had an interesting set of organs that could be seen from the unbutton coat causing her to stare maybe a little too long as she tried to think of what each of the squishy things were called. They paused in front of her, the one giving her a rather disdained look for her interruption of what they were doing by being in their way.

“And you are?” Harper looked at the one who spoke, giving a puzzled look as to why he had bothered to before moving away, not responding out of disinterest.

Mukei woke up with a start. This... where was he? This was not a familiar place, which meant it was a bad place. The boy curled into a ball, suddenly afraid to open his eyes and find out just how unfamiliar this place was. Finally, after he counted to his favorite number, 7, a few times in his head, he opened his eyes. The boy sat up, confused. It wasn't as scary as he thought it would be, but it wasn't as nice as he had hoped either. The boy saw others around, and shrank back into the nearest corner he could find. When something, Dorthy? Well, something unknown started making noises at him did he actually pry himself out of hiding, and listened. So, something something, memories, a survey? The boy looked at the questions, not quite comprehending the words, before he picked up a pencil and tried to focus.

How was Dorothy’s performance?

Would you recommend her to anyone else?

On a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being the least, how well would you say your memory rehabilitation process is going?

Memory? What memory? Did he know anyone else to even recommend this... Dorthy to? How was he supposed to know how well he remembered if he could not remember what he was supposed to remember?! The questions riled the boy, and he wished he could go back into the place he was before he had opened his eyes. Sure, it was the unknown, but at least he didnt have to ask himself so many questions there. The boy abandoned the survey, and stood up, looking for an exit. Sadly, there was someone in the general vicinity of the exit, and Mukei was unsure how to go about this. The boy edged to the right, then edged to the left, but no matter how he tried to visualize things, he could not find a way to get past the person without touching their or his 30 foot personal space bubble. Mukei took a deep breath and stepped forward. Maybe he could sacrifice his 30 foot personal space bubble but still have his 20 foot personal space bubble free of other beings. The boy made a shrill eep as his step took him within 30 feet of the other being.

"Oh, doesn't she now?" Darkjay almost sounded surprise, if the note of sarcasm in his voice wasn't a dead giveaway. "I would imagine so. Most conquest are too pompous to understand what is really important." Once prompted he casually gave his name. "Darkjay Killeth, if you must know." He glanced briefly at Jinhai but paid him little attention. "And you are?"

The many expressions that formed across Kiki's face had the war horsemen cackling openly, not caring if he was being rude and finding humor in just how easy it was to rile her up. Especially about a simple comment about clothing. Considering he stood there in naught but a loincloth it was obvious he did not care for it himself. Especially constraining silks that could rip and tear easily.

"I can't believe how much you care for those silly things!" His laughter quietened as he listened to her try to speak normally. "Oh, you want to hang me? And exactly how are you going to accomplish that?"

At the sound of his name, Ilker glanced up, startled. His eyes studied the face for barely a second before the name burst from his lips, tinged with confusion. "Ellaren?" He responded, dull purple eyes cutting to the side before he clicked his tongue. The name felt so familiar, to his mouth, had he said it before? He closed his eyes, thinking blocking such out of his mind before opening them and looking directly at her. "I heard such as well. Green matches up with what I remember, but I just cannot place it. There is something off about all this." He paused for a moment, having just realized something. "I... can't remember yesterday. At all." He murmured, sounding a little hollow. This was weird and almost too uncomfortable. He looked up at Ellaren, a little startled. "Do you?"

It took Ilker a moment to realize someone had been listening to them speak. His eyes darted to the unwelcome listener, but instead of ignoring him, he simply raised his chin some and beckoned him over. "Hey. You. If you're listening in, you might as well participate." He glanced around them, dull eyes uninterested in their surroundings. He crossed his arms. "What do you remember. Do you remember yesterday?" He asked, curious and direct but not even focused on the other. He then realized he'd forgotten something. "Oh. And who are you." Most of his questions sounded less like like questions and more like demands, but Ilker wasn't one for speech anyways.

It took Ilker a second before he realized there was another Death horseman attempting to pass. "Do you need something?" He asked, frankly a little irriated before he felt like he recognized something from him. Squinting, he stared at the other a little too long before his eyes widened, mouth speaking before he could really process what he was saying. "Mu..kei? Mukei, right." He knew him too, it was this same strange uncomfortableness he felt with Ellaren that he felt he knew her but did not know from where. "Join us. We could use more minds to think." Even if he was known for his fear of others.

Not seeing anything of notable insight, the Famine Horseman bowed her head and moved to leave the area, filing away the conversation tidbits she'd picked up from just listening to others.

No one had approached her, so it wasn't really a problem -- she'd just find another area that interested her, and would suit her better, perhaps.

Rising and stretching a slight bit, Tessa smiled to others as she walked by them, merely out of habit and being pleasant to others. It was always a nice gesture to smile to someone you didn't know -- after all, you didn't know who would end up your friend... or your enemy.

Mukei's eek became audibly louder as someone said his name. He peeled one eye open, and the other, and frowned as he saw who exactly had said hello to him. Someone he didnt know. But they were talking above a whisper, and saying things to people. Its like they were just asking to be noticed, and that made Mukei shiver. He stood, stock still for a second as he debated what to do. If he was with someone who talked loudly, they would attract any attention he had the potential of having. The boy made up his mind with another frown and moved closer to the individual who talked to him, trying to catch their name.

"Heeeeello" The boy wheezed, feeling himself flinch as he stepped closer to the group of people, thus letting others into both his 20 foot personal space bubble, his ten foot personal space bubble, and he felt the pressure on his 5 foot personal space bubble. The boy held his breath, dreading the moment the invisible barrier would burst. "Im, Mu... Mukeiiiiiiii" Came the wheeze of his voice as he exhaled all the air in his lungs with the effort of talking.

Li was feeling, well, even with regards to this, she was initially at a loss of how her present state was to be described. For starters, she couldn't see anything outwardly being an issue; she was not visibly injured as far as she could tell currently. However, the confusion plaguing her was registering more and more clearly in her awareness and she couldn't shake the feeling that there was something different somehow, though she also somehow could not will herself to recognize and reach a specific conclusion as to what exactly was different as of yet.

Anyway, from an existence named Dorothy she gathered that she supposedly forgot about a number of things. But, before she could mentally explore further with regards to this point, she as though only just realizing that she was at this time located in this white room. With subtle shifts, her small steps in place allowed her to look around said room. Was this room in the process of being decorated?

Then, what caught her attention next was a pierced yet unbroken window. And, it was at this point that the bow in her possession registered in her consciousness in the next instant. What would happen if she shot an arrow at the window, she wondered.

However, the rain outside distracted her from that line of thinking and drew her attention to other observations next, such as to take note of the shops below. She then went on to leave that room she was in and encountered a Famine sage who then inquired about her identity.

"Li, my name is Li," she found herself replying to the question asked of her with this statement. And the response she was given in turn, ended up further aggravating her mind's puzzled status.

She next found herself wondering if she could go on to ask some questions. However, her mind was having a hard time deciding on one as the beats of time ticked on and her feet, with seemingly a mind of their own that was equally unsure of what to make of things, carried her in the specified direction towards an exit.

As she walked away, her mind slowly decided it wanted to cooperate with question determination belatedly. But, it was of course too late now.

In addition, other thoughts decidedly crossed her mind as the gears in her head seemed to be a little better at functioning more productively now. She remembered some information about herself and yet could not recall other information about herself that was supposedly recent, like yesterday in particular. How serious was her condition if she could remember her name but not certain details pertaining to as of late so to speak? What was going on?

Aside from being armed with her bow, a sudden, spontaneous bout of patting the length of her attire once she was standing in an elevator then brought her attention to the phone also in her possession as well as along with it there was a key card she now only seemed to be remembering to be for her own room. After that, as if on autopilot, she managed to locate and examine that room of hers before she left the building altogether temporarily so as to explore the surroundings and hopefully recover more of her memories in the process.
