- - - - - - - He couldn't pick the same as the other three, could he? Rubbing his eyes, Shion skimmed until he found something. "Quirth...?" Something about fishing? And a geist city! If there was one thing they all had in common, it was that they were all part geist. Such a city had to be fun and teeming with life! And yum, fish! Shion loved fish so much, it had to be his favorite food! Idly he wondered...staring at the three siblings- his nieces and nephew- what his father- their grandfather- would have thought about that city?

Name: Jaxon Stage: Freshling Entry: A city, huh? Shellmount was an interesting city, if Jaxon remember correctly. "Shellmount." Jaxon hissed unintentionally. "It's an imp city that is well known for its shellfish I think. Mom doesn't make shellfish very often, but I love seafood. I wonder if I can manipulate Roxy in to cooking more shrimp for us sometime. Roxy's never really around tho. Maybe not ... " Jaxon slumped a little at the thought. If he couldn't get Roxy to make him something good tasting for once, maybe he could abuse Percy's apparent connections to get himself a good meal.

Name: Altair Stage: Freshling Entry: Altair didn't have to think much about what city he'd like to visit someday. He had known for a while. While the boy possessed no litch in his blood, he had always felt a sense of kinship with the litches he read about in his textbooks. Maybe he was meant to be born a litch instead of ... this? "I want to go to Snowgarden. It's a well-known litch city, and the Warden of the South lives there. I've heard it's incredibly cold there, but ... " Altair shrugged. "I'd just dress appropriately for the weather."

Name: Castiel Stage: Freshling Entry: Castiel shifted nervously, looking a little bit shy. He didn't want to say why he wanted to visit Cassiel's watch. It seemed so incredibly silly. His mother was named Cassie, and himself Castiel. It made him feel like the city was named after his family line, even though there was no way to know that, and something the boy never should assume. It was neat to think about, though. Thinking that he might have had some sort of great ancestry that had a city named after them excited the small boy, but he knew better. Instead of giving his answer outloud, the boy wrote it down on a piece of paper to submit to the teacher at the end of class.

Name: Hasina Stage: Freshling Entry: Hasina had a love for gemstones. It was no wonder she wanted to visit the geist city of Emall. There was something so romantic about finding and refining gemstones. If Hasina was able to fulfill her dreams and aspirations, she might very well end up making beautiful accessories to be paired with her mother's clothing. "Emall is a city I've always dreamed of visiting! I hope to one day go with my mother and father and maybe convince them to buy me some pretty stones to try my hand at crafting! Who knows ... maybe they'll take me there for my birthday!"

Nightmare: Frit -Freshling Response: Frit looked at the map, excited. This was exploring! If even only on a map... But still, look at how much world and space and things there were. She marveled at all the little cities she could go to should she desire, and grinned. She found one city far far away. Mudsdale. Yeah, she wanted to go there. Frit stood at the head of the classroom, and declared; "Mudsdale, exactly 428 miles away, and im going to go there!" Nodding to herself she said the logical reason for her trip. "I mean, its gotta be muddy right? I LOVE mud!"
Nightmare: Muridae -Senior Response: Muridae chewed on the end of her pencil. Imps seemed like friendly people. They were always so tight knit. That sounded like a nice place, Muridae thought to herself. "While elected mayors primarily govern over Imp affairs, the leaders of cartel families, known as bosses, by far wield the most power, and many have been known to unseat mayors who have been foolish enough to get in their way." Muridae looked a little shocked. Bosses?! That sounded like some mob boss operation kind of thing. Well, if her kind did it that way, maybe it was a good way. Muridae wrote it down in her secret book as well, she wanted to go experience this...
Nightmare: Eudica -Junior Response: Eudica perked up a bit. She was a Bathoment, but she really didn't know much about how they governed themselves. Well if they were like her, how could they not be a calm, dedicated society, there for their people. Eudica started writing. "At the top of Baphomet society are the Rexes, which govern over all the Baphomet in their lands. There are three separate factions, Moonspear, Alcyone and Bramblewood, each with their own respective Rexes. Beneath the Rexes are Elders, which govern locally. Since the 50 Year War, the Three Rexes have retained some power, but defer to the Great Council when necessary. As Alcyone has been destroyed in the 50 year war, however, there has been some unrest as of late." She grinned, that didn't sound like a bad place to live... Maybe she would move once she graduated...
Nightmare: Clair -Junior Response: Clair was a pretty open person, she was curious about how the most plentiful race governed. The Daemons. There were more demon cities than fae and dryad put together, they must be doing something right! "Historically, Demons have been lead by a monarchy, the rulers of which referred to as Sovereigns. The spouses of such Sovereigns are called the Lady/Lord/Liege Sovereign, and the family of the Sovereign is called The Sovereign Family. Children of the Sovereign are referred to as Prince/Princess/Princen depending on gender. Sovereigns delegate local power to sworn Lords/Ladies/Lieges who rule over specific geographical areas."
Nightmare: Plein -Freshling Response: Plein looked at the map and felt a bit overwhelmed. There was just so, so MUCH. He looked around, and his eyes landed on Asphodel. The name sounded nice to the boy, and he continued. "Located within Asphodel Fields. Capital city of the Demons." Plein looked at the dot again, how could a dot house so many people? But, daemons, wasn't there a capital for quiet people who just wanted to write books? "Moonspear - Seat of the Moonspear Rexhaven, located in the southwest." Plein finally said, choosing a city that would sound good in any story. "When i write that i live there... well, itll sound like a fairyland. Moonspear."

Belledandi took his turn. "I picked the Grimm government structure. It's pack based and lead by a shaman." he started. "The shaman is picked by whomever is most magically prone and they are the leader until they pass. Then a new shaman is picked." Though he had to admit to himself that he didn't remember how they sniffed out the candidates for it. "Shamans have to be in shape, too, cause they lead the big hunts the pack goes on. And those tend to be pretty big hunts because packs can have up to fifty grimm! Leading a pack as a shaman seems pretty amazing"

As per usual, Ebi was more than excited for class, happy to have a means of a social outlet. Not only that, but their topic was so fun! Talking about different cities? there were so many that had really cool aspects to them! So many could serve for great romantic settings~ With a wistful sigh, he pulled out his textbook, and flicked through the pages slowly. The pictures were so nice to look at.... ooooh and the food pictures had him lingering even longer!
But he ended up stopping at one page that had Quirth. It seemed to be the place for fishing. He loved fish! "Oh Quirth looks nice! I'd love to see what kind of fish they have, and what foods they make with them!" seafood, yummm!

Husk had done as was instructed, pulling out his textbook, and just flipping through pages, while not fully paying all that much attention. His antenna did perk though at the sight of one of the cities, and the specialties it possessed. Aynor had olives and grapes.... Well hey now that was something of interest to the fey. Grinning widely, he spoke up right away, talking over another kid who was already announcing their pick, "Aynor has grapes and olives. Bugs would like those, and I'd probably be able to get some more to add to my collection." he proudly announced.

Like the good little boy he was, Anubis was paying full attention to his class. He sat nice and still, though would glance with a bit of annoyance at the other kids nearby who were goofing off... Some weren't taking the lesson seriously! Huffing softly to himself, he shook his head and cracked open his book as was instructed, carefully spending time on each city that was listed. So many of them sounded interesting.... Oh but one caught the hybrids eye. Zayen... It had manufacturing.. lots of it, too! That was the places specialty... That... must mean clothes were made there too! fashion!
Clearing his throat, he waited his turn patiently, before announcing his decision, "I'm interested in Zayen. They do manufacturing there, which probably means really cool clothes are made there as well."

Unlike a lot of his fellow peers, Orion wasn't paying that much attention at all. He was sneaking time in playing his handheld, holding it under his desk, and volume muted so as not to draw attention to himself. However that didn't stifle the sound of his fingers clicking away.... which in and of itself drew attention to him from the other kids.
Thus, he got tattled on... and was picked right then and there to state... a city? Quickly looking up, he slid his eyes slowly back down to the unopened book in front of it. Uhhh..... Opening it up, he messily pushed the pages along til he landed on one, skimming briefly over it, "Uh... Ozryn seems cool. Has good weather n' stuff." was that enough? he had levels to beat!

"I chothe the Dryadth," Xyla said. "I'm part Dryad, tho I thought that would be appropriate. Um, Dryadth are a reprethentative democrathy, with each level of government electing the nektht level up. People vote for community reprethentativeth who vote for regional counthilorth who vote for a regional reprethentative to therve on the Dryad counthil, which maketh dethithons for the Dryadth ath a whole. The twitht cometh that the only people who can vote are people who have lived in the thame plathe for theveral yearth--Dryadth think they're more mature than normal people or thomething. It'th thort of the running theme throughout everything Dryad, tho yeah. Young people can't vote, and nor can people who've moved rethently. I don't like thith thythtem," she added conscientiously."I chose Nixie," Lillian said softly, "because I am a Nixie and because I was imbued and awoken in Nixie territory. Nixie usually live in small floating towns that act as satellite communities to a major city, or 'colony.' Members of the city elect an Elder who represents them on the Elder council. When a town gets large enough and independent enough, it can petition to be separated from its city to become one in its own right. They sink underwater and get to elect an Elder of their own." She fiddled with her pencil. "That's why so many Nixie cities have a strong community spirit--if they didn't, they wouldn't have become a city of their own. Or...something like that." It had been a very long time since Lillian had last visited the Nixie homeland.

It was Cookie's turn to talk about a city. She had been having a really hard time deciding on one to talk about, though. Chewing on her lip for a few moments, and looking back down at her books, Cookie decided on one that kept catching her attention. "I pick Aynor... They grow lots of olives and grapes which are both really yummy. My daddy loves to cook, so those two things end up in our house a lot!" okay, good... she made it through.

Cardiff spent a decent amount of time poring over the atlas before he chose a city, and another respectable stretch thinking about what he wanted to say before opening his mouth. It wasn't that he was afraid of being wrong, he simply liked things to be just so when other people were there to see.
"Khiron is a city south of the Academy that lots of Nightmares and Daydreams pass through to get to the ruins of Summerforge. Both of them are, or were, demon cities, and I'm part demon so I think it's good to know stuff about them."
Grandda York would be proud that he was bringing up his demon-ness in school. And maybe his other parent would too, the one Dad didn't like to mention. He was a demon too, and someday Cardiff planned to meet him.

Snow Ivy was a bit nervous to talk about the city he had planned to talk about, an underwater colony where his mother lived for quite some time when she became a Senior. It wasn't officially on any widely accepted map he had looked at when he tried to find it for his project. He had searched every textbook any official maps saying where it was, but he only had a map his mother had given him of where she had marked it at. Now it was his turn to speak, Snow Ivy standing up and clearing his throat as he began to speak ", My name is Snow Ivy, and I will be talking about a small colony called Lilac Starfish. It is a nixie city that my mother used to live in after she became a Senior. It is far off the southern coast of Zephyros, so not many nightmares or day dreams have been to it or even know of its existence. It is a rather new colony too, having just in the past 20 years been a small floating town that relied on a different colony for survival. It wasn't until it had enough nixie and grimm population and a constant amount of resources for the people that the nixie and grimm of Lilac Starfish petitioned to be annexed from the major city and became their own colony. I chose this city because it is where my mother spent a lot of her adult life living until the nixie joined us at the academy. After her time in Lilac Starfish, she began teaching here at the school, and met my father. So therefore it is a special place to my mother, and I wanted to share that with all of you."
