"It's a deal," Mera said, fortunate enough to get a word in before the clamor. She looked over to the other side of the room at the same time as Lorata, perhaps even in sync. The tealblood wasn't paying attention to that sort of detail, however. Unexpected noises hinting at an issue let the mind snap up the worst thoughts if given an inch. Mera gasped before she even registered more than the fact that there were trolls in a fight; her shocked expression soon soured, then she frowned in exasperated annoyance.
She leaned on an elbow, watching. "I know tensions are running high, but really." Mera tsk'd. "Leave it to Furore to end up in a fight. With a military officer of all things. I wonder if he can even understand the concept of tact, much less etiquette." Hemera remained unperturbed while Kursha utterly decimated Leeroi; she had no inkling about the event's context, and was free to assume the worst. So, with that privilege, she did. It was like watching a terrible accident happen in slow motion, and she didn't even bother to fake being horrified about it. That was, until it wasn't a matter of faking.
Kursha was slamming Leeroi's head into the ground. The fight had been escalating, and Leeroi didn't know when to call a loss, but at the same time...this was a kid. Did it take this much just to get a lesson through Leeroi's thick skull? Even she wasn't sure.
"Excuse me," she said to Lorata, eyes still on the scene as Kursha finished. Mera approached, faster than she would think Leeroi deserved if she was thinking objectively, but for now that would have to wait. She instead found herself kneeling next to the blueblood, checking for just how bad his wounds were. From her angle, it was hard to tell if he was still even conscious.
"Furore..." she hissed.

The central hivestream was supposed to be a quiet place for everyone to think about their findings. Eridia was yet again forced out of her train of thoughts, her head whipped up as she looked for the sorces of the scream...s. It wasn't only one troll in pain but two. The child followed the sounds and to her surprise, it was Kursha and Leeroi spreading bad drama all over the room. The fight was fun, highly entertaining even! If the doors weren't locked they could take it outside, but at least they could throw each other objects and insults, maybe even bleed! Quickly she got a refreshment and headed to the front.
The creepiest smile crept on her face while she watched the show, such malice in her reflected there and then. Good thing she had her mental notes, there was no way he could take her info. Happily, she took a slurp as Leeroi took a bite of out Kursha. She nearly spitted her drink on the troll next to her and giggled when Leeroi's head made contact with the floor. Hemera had approached the loser after he was presumably dead. She rolled her eyes, she shouldn't intervene unless she was giving him a pep talk to keep on fighting.
Eostre watched the fight from her lounge chair, placing a hand over her mouth to cover her smile. Despite the circumstances, she still found herself excited by the fight. If this weren't such a fancy party, she'd be tempted to join the brawl, but she had worked hard to cultivate a sort of elegance to her persona she didn't particularly want to destroy over a fight between Kursha and a young blueblood. Still, her body ached for a good fight, her fingers twitching involuntarily over the imagined sensation...
Instead, she focused on her notes. She wasn't finding much, but what she did find in the ballblock was interesting, and she'd have to catch up with Kursha once he was done battering the child. The rug she looked at had smears of blue blood as well. Curious...

It is a new ooc day! All investigations have been reset to 3. Clues posted in the central hivestem will be pmed out shortly. -All clues sent.
Azrael had been quietly studying his sketchpade in a cozy armchair when his attention was snapped up to the war raging just across from him, more out of massive irritation than interest or shock. Of course it would be Kursha and Leeroi, the two trolls he couldn't comprehend most. Could these trolls not keep their s**t together for five minutes without something dramatic happening? They had more important things to worry about than this. it was absolutely ridiculous, suddenly the failure in the swamp didn't seem too big. "of course... the killer gets away because someone can't work with others, " The young blueblood grumped as he stood up from the chair and joined the crowd surrounding the battle.
He watched as Kursha put down Leeroi, which was honestly not a surprise. He personally fought Leeroi and probably did a fair amount of damage. He stood watching the two most bewildering trolls as they caused each other damage and finally as Kursha plowed Leeroi's head into the ground. "Can't pick your fights, can you Lee?" Azrael's questions fell on deaf ears as he approach Hemera and Leeroi, "Is he alright, can you tell?" He asked Hemera. Azrael wondered how much first aid they would need or if they would need to just dump his body out of the way somewhere.

Under his breath, Leeroi laughed. He didn't need anyone to tell him that his words struck a chord with Kursha. The fact that he had been repeatedly driven into the ground was proof enough that he had upset the greenblood, and boy did it make Leeroi feel good. Semi-conscious, Leeroi had just enough energy to roll himself over and get a good (although hazy) look at Kursha. He laughed again, louder, grinning wide.
"Huh, did I hurt your feeeeeeelings?" He barked, wheezing with laughter. He blinked slowly and unevenly, breathing hard. The world around him was fading fast. He swallowed the blood building up in his mouth and tried to speak again. "Gimme back my book, jackass," He demanded, slurring almost incomprehensibly.
He saw a flash of teal out of the corner of his eye, and then nothing but black. His head limped over but he continued to breathe somewhat steadily, blue and green blood dripping out of his mouth. His little autograph book laid by Kursha's feet.

Sarcel made it back just in time to see the little... skit going down in the hivestem. Part of her wanted to intervene again, but another part wasn't feeling the nerve since the Tamiya debacle and even less so after the Zindel one. Speaking of, she would have thought the lesson for "drama" would have been learned by now. Then again, it looked like Kursha was involved. Any other time, Sarcel would probably have been miffed at teens wailing on children, but even she had to admit that the kids around here needed a lesson in subordination. Oh well.
Pulling up a seat for the moment, Sarcel yawned into her hand. All the running around was doing quite the number on her. Maybe she'd try asking around for any information to see if she could build off her own (or Alifax's)—Geeze, Kursha really wasn't going easy on that blueblood, was he? She thrummed her fingers against her leg in thought.

Alifax wandered back after his survey of the eastern outgrowth, satisfied that he at least now knew where some of these places belonged. Unfortunately it seemed a little difficult to concentrate with the people currently making a commotion in the hivestem, but that was what sitting in the corner was for. He had things to think about.
After some brief snooping around the party, Psykgi found her way back, alone, to the central block, having found it a great place to think on the mystery of the night...
@ Shishi: Whats the deal with Gerard? (@ Comedi: How are you doing? @ comedi: What do you know about Tigwyn?
Her eyes drifted to a certain prone blueblood on the floor, his mouth dripping blood...
Oh gog was that Leeroi?
Really?
Seriously?
Disturbed from her musing, Psykgi went over to him quickly, her skirt's fluttering in agitation. Obviously, he wasn't dead, but really... here of all places? "Oh gosh..." she exclaimed affectionately, kneeling by Leeroi's head, "What did he do this time?" she asked, moving some stray hairs gently out of the pooling blood at his mouth.

Regina gave an uninterested look at the lowblood troll, then tossed them a piece of chalk and sat back in the chair she had retreated to. It was tactfully turned away from the centre room, facing the wall, and she had been peacefully ignoring any and all raised voices, screams, and or yelling that came from behind her. Watching the message that was written, she clicked her tongue. "More gossip huh? You kids better hope the clown - uh - his mirthfulness doesn't come in here and take offence to that. A swell guy like him could easily read a backhanded threat there." She grinned. "Or get real curious about where that little tidbit originated. Though he probably won't pitch a fit, so I don't really care either way." Holding her hand out to receive the chalk back, her smile was cherubic.

[+] Kursha Vidari
“Tch.” Kursha clicked his tongue against his teeth. Were the blueblood still conscious, he would be in for a world of pain. Maybe a few broken fingers would do the trick. There was no point in teaching a lesson to an enemy who was not even awake to feel it though. With a huff, Kursha picked up the blueblood's notebook, which he had dropped during their brief struggle. Such a little thing... He glanced back at the blueblood, bleeding on the floor. If the kid had been more forthcoming, he would not be in the state he was. Giving a derisive snort, Kursha seated himself on top of the kid.
“All right!” Kursha called, loud enough for everyone in the rumpus block to hear. “Who wants to hear what...” Pausing, he flipped back to the first page. There it was. “Leeroi Furore has to share with the rest of the class? Let's see. First off...”

Alifax wasn't sure what exactly had happened, but he settled into a chair to take notes regardless. This should prove informative, right?
After this he needed to find Nahori - maybe she'd have some insights.
Aconan hadn't thought about that. She'd only written the words up out of concern for Comedi, but the Empress made a valid point. Carefully, she made an addition to the fact upon the wall. Nodding and curtseying as low as she could again to her rightful ruler, Aconan passed the chalk back and spoke.
"Thankyou for your advice, Empress. Should Comedi ask I will tell him where it originated - his moirail was worried for him, and I didn't want to put relationship drama on the wall...but at the same time, he should be protected being a highblooded servant of the empire."
Internally, Aconan was thrilled. Her empress was SPEAKING TO HER. And even better, she'd offered advice. Aconan couldn't help giving a beaming grin of thanks at the Empress - in all truth, Regina was lucky to be highblooded because if a lowblood had helped her out that way they would have probably received a hug and a friendly headbutt. But even Aconan wasn't stupid enough to do that to the Empress.

The inside pages of Leeroi's book were largely blank. The inside cover had his first name carved into the side, and the first page included an autograph from Major Puchen, with an inspiring quote. Then next series of pages were entirely blank, but the back pages were full of information, most of it so hastily scrawled by Leeroi that it was illegible. Field notes. The back page, however, contained an easy-to-read list of the adult suspects, with various clues addressing them.
Quote:
PUCHEN (Tigwyn) Major Puchen and Sir Schrad have matching tally mark tattoos— lines for Puchen, dots for Schrad (Schrad) Major Puchen will get her second in command in trouble if she doesn’t “play nice”— unlikely she’d start trouble
Quote:
SCHRAD (Clue) saw Schrad’s tattoo personally, tally mark dots in cool blood colors (Tigwyn) convinced Schrad is dual-psionic (Erilyn) Schrad called back to planet for investigation purposes, highblood teammates unhappy with death count??????????? (Comedi) Schrad obsessed with bluebloods (???) (Erilyn) implies Schrad wants to please the empress
Schrad's column is especially difficult to decipher. The writing looks especially hasty, and many blank spaces are just filled in with question marks.
Quote:
MUTANTS (Clue) candy wrappers in cage. not their first time inside. (Schrad) implies mutantbloods are a ruse planted by the real criminal (Puchen) implies mutantbloods are a gift to the empress (Mutant) can’t say “r” sounds
Quote:
COMEDI (Schrad) says Comedi and Epratt were fighting earlier— Comedi’s remarks towards Epratt support this (Clue) 3rd hour, checked out medicine chest in training block. was missing vials of powerful sedatives. 4th hour, Comedi is sitting on top of chest, claiming another guest made a mess but he cleaned it up. needs investigation
Quote:
ERILYN (Schrad) says they're a bleeding heart
At the bottom of the page, separate from the chart of suspects, is a list of clues about the victim himself, and some clues that Leeroi had yet pinned on anyone in particular.
Quote:
EPRATT (Schrad) implies the murderer is an orphan from one of his lusus hunts (Comedi) says’s he’s a “lying, two-faced, dirty little double-dealing ******** class="clear">
Quote:
??? old unsent letter in old military uniform in armory. matespritship with writer and sender towel in laundry basket, covered in black powder, teal blood, and bits of purple glass
With that last page, the book is over. A keen eye would notice that a page had also been torn out from the back, but other than that there was nothing else useful to take from Leeroi's notes.

Chiara Moteku xxxxxReporting Chiara entered the Central Hivestem, expecting little to nothing to be going on. Luckly for her there was a big ol fight. And look at that, Kursha was right i the middle of it. Of course, he was such a problem troll. Chiara quietly cheered for Leeroi, she would need to go talk to him after all of this. He was a very interesting troll.Chiara once again scanned the room, looking for what she wanted. Yep, there it was, trying to think. Silly really. She walked over and sat at a reasonable distance from Eridia. Chiara got out a piece of paper, and started writing on it. Then put a few things inside it and crumpled it up. She rolled it to Eridia. She watched the fight but also looked at the chalk board. There were things to ponder. This whole murder thing for starters. Why Kursha was such a duck-entrails-bag. What to give Hazmas as a thank you gift. Inside the paper was a pill capsule, with a trace of what looked like greenblood on it. On the paper was written. "Make sure someone finds this. Leeroi maybe? Added more chalk if u want to make more blood."
