Wyome Post 10

Wyome gave a firm nod and tightened her grip on the other female’s hand, "I won't let go." Though she wasn’t quite sure where exactly they were going, she trusted Niadra to find them a safe place to offer their assistance.

She gave a quick glance over her shoulder as the matron before they made their way through the crowd. How could a woman of such high rank be so blind to the nonsense she was stirring up? That this was just going to be a waste of precious life?

“Yes, we’ll be happy to assist with whatever you need,” the nervous note was more prominent than she had liked, but the healer in charge just gave a smile. The tent was rather peaceful compared to the tensions stirring outside.

“Thank you for offering your assistance. We’ll be sure to need it from the sounds of it...”

Nuri Post 12
Oban War Camp, Front Lines

Nuri nodded to Sanele, although he wasn't the type to mount Naraka and fight. It was much easier to stay back and control the creature, while using his whip in his own fights. That thought forced him to look at his familiar and continue to keep him close, always weary. At least Naraka allowed for people to make room as he walked closer to the front of the lines.

As they settled into their place, Nuri was once again glad to have such allies by his side. All three of the other Obans seemed keen and smart about this war, and each were well aware of what needed to be done. He had as much faith in them as he had with his familiar, and for that he was grateful.

It was then that he caught word of the leaders, their screams building across the neutral zone between fronts. He listened intently as the wind leader made to threaten the groups, and shook his head at the fact this was all over a little sqabble because one girl came to visit. And speaking of respect, it sounded as if they couldn't control themselves on either side. Peace and respect was a foolish notion, and Nuri would be displeased if he was dragged out here over a stupid argument and some hurt pride.

And then, another tried to persuade people of allies and alliances, and Nuri scoffed out loud this time. With them here, the Obans, it showed that alliances were not set in stone. Another foolish attempt at trying to solve whatever was going on.

And now, the Alkidikes made claim for them to move. Whatever was going on felt more like a chaotic solutions, and caused Nuri to really feel as if he had no reason to be here. Wounded pride was not a reason for him to leave his family, to leave his friends, and rush off and risk his life.

healing tents

"It won't be yours or mine, Kayin," he assured her, happy to hear the amusement in her retort, however brief. Alek nodded his assent at the suggestion that they move on, turning away from the Alkidikes' escalating shouts and motioning for his twin to follow. The sounds were muffled by the time he reached one of the healing tents, and the relative quiet served as a balm for his antsyness.

There were quite a few people here already—Winds, Shifters, Leafs, a couple of hybrids—and a number of them even looked like they'd be more comfortable doing anything else. It was upsetting that so many were forced to be a part of other people's fights.

He turned to Kayin. "There's not a lot to do until people get hurt," he said stupidly, nodding at those who were gathered there. "Obviously."

Ariya Post 9

She nodded her head when Maya asked her to stay there. Ariya got down from the janarim, not wanting to be on it without it's owner present, and looked around at what was going on. She noticed several other Alkidikes and focused on them. She was too busy looking that she didn't notice that the beast she was to stand by had disappeared.

When she did notice, finally, she looked around frantically. "Oh no... Maya?" Maybe the woman was nearby? She searched and looked and walked around hoping to spot her. Of course she only managed to get herself more lost.

Syqvara Post 11

She glanced down at her staff and thought about her spells. Sy wasn't sure the power behind them was powerful enough to travel long distances. So she looked up at Nyiim. "N-not as long as y-yours." Syqvara was certain that he would be able to reach farther with his arrows that she could with lightning. It had her wishing she had bothered to learn more spells. So far she only had two in her repertoire.

Gael Post 11

He nodded his head at her. "Yes, I would want to be near you so I can protect you." As they got closer and closer to the front lines he looked around, taking in the body language of others. Most seemed tense and when the Alkidikes started making demands it got worse. He shook his head and looked at Kani. "Can we get you near other magic users? I don't want you to be singled out." After all, if your people were being held back by spells you took out the spell caster. A single magic user among fighters was too easy a target.

Kalliope Post 12
Healers tents

As she led the way to the tents that had been set up she managed to wave and smile at a few people, hoping to make them not so grim faced. Upon arrival she peeked in at everyone to see how they were doing in setting up. "Does anyone need any help in here? I'm no healer but I can lend a hand with small things."

When no one answered right away she looked back to see if Issaly had followed then cast her gaze toward the front lines to see if she could spot her friends. It was a long shot but one worth taking. Kalli wanted to know where they were so she could make sure they didn't fall in battle. If they did she would be making a bee line right for them to make sure they were moved to a tent.

Niadra - Post Ten
She was pleased that the head healer hadn't said anything rude to Wyome, she had picked a good tent. As he spoke she nodded.

"Since we aren't needed yet I'm sure that you could use someone to organize things?" she offered. People had put things together rather quickly, so she was sure that some of the healers things had been mixed up. He nodded at the suggestion and pointed in the direction that all of his supplies were.

She nodded her head and headed towards them, making sure that Wyome stayed close by. "The most important thing for us to do is listen. We'll be bringing all the things that he and the other real healers need." she hoped that it wouldn't get so bad that they would have to do anything else.

Kayin post 9
healing tents

"Honestly I hope work is light as possible..." Kayin replied, looking back to where they had come from. She sighed, wondering if fighting was anything she'd be cut out for. Part of her was interested in learning to take up a weapon, but deciding on one was harder. Magic was the same way, that sort of kind of interesting kind of not.

"Do you ever want to be able to do that Alek?" she asked before realizing how vague of a question that was. "I mean, well, be fluent on the battlefield I guess..."

Issaly Post 7

The slender youth smiled sweetly at the female. "Its alright. I guess I didn't take my surroundings into full account. I'm still young after all. Its nice to meet you~" he looked around then. His smile fading as he let his mind drift. "Isaris. Abysio." he turned to lay a hand on the Janarim's head.

"I know you hate when I ask you anything regarding Isaris. But. Your the only one I can trust to actually protect him even despite all that. Please. Go make sure he stays safe." he leaned his forehead aginst the large brutes. "I don't want to be alone..."

The janarim looked displeased but nodded before taking off. Following the scent to the elder sibling. Issaly stood there before looking back to the where the group was. His mind wandering back to his early memories. That male...he seems so familiar...Sa...couldn't be. He looked. Mad. Did I do something wrong? Isaris' note should of explained everything...so why...? He shook his head muttering. "Memories from our young days are colored in grand illusion."

Isaris Post 7

Isaris nodded. "I know he's alright. Issaly is a smart kid. I'm needed here." He smiled squeezing Vallen's hand before nodding. "Alright---AH!" He blinked then let go of Vallen to gently pat Abysio's head as the beast sprang into view. "abysio...Issaly sent ya to watch me then. Alright. Let's go to our positions..."

Kadriye post 9 ( alkidike camp)

Kadriye nodded to Briella and watched quietly as the sisters around her arranged themselves themselves in formations that gave them the best use of their skills and weapons. Even with many of the older battle experienced warriors fighting for the Matron they were still a strong and organized group. This was not the sort of battlefield the Alkidike excelled upon but they would make a good showing of themselves she was sure.

There was a tenseness in the air now as magic sizzled, weapons slid from sheaths, bows were drawn back and both sides waited for the other to make the first move.

Shukri post 5 ( alkidike camp)

Finding Maya was a relief, Shukri had started to get unnerved by some of the looks he'd been receiving. She seemed equal parts pleased and distressed to see him. Time seemed short at the moment and so the wind tribesman offered but a smile and a quick nod in return.

"I'll find Teiluj, that's my specialty, now you do yours and come back vcitorious." Not that Shukri typically hunted down people as opposed to rare objects and hidden places but he still had a keen eye. Also unlike trying to spot Maya in a see of sisters Teiluj stood out enough to be found even in a crowd if one looked hard enough. that was what he was good for, finding the one vein of shiny mineral in a rocky wall or feeling where the ground felt unusual underneath and had clearly been hollowed out into some sort of hidden cellar. A small clue was enough for Shukri.

Plus Shukri had Thema, currently the sailscale was waiting out of the way behind the healer tents but once it was safe she could take to the air and scan for the ground for the multi tribed girl.

When this fighting was over though Shukri thought he might not let go of Maya so easily, regardless of what anyone thought of the assisting Alkidike force.

Tahira post 6
( wind tribe camp)
Breathe, adjust your grip on the blade handles, remember to strike at weak points and slice not stab. A slice causes bleeding and is faster, lets you dodge a counter attack. Better to cause multiple small injuries than one massive one and risk injury yourself.

Tahira stood near the front and replayed the lessons she had been taught by older sisters in her head time and again.

Take the killing bow if you can get it but be swift, neither prey nor enemy should suffer when defeated and it speaks ill of your skill to have a messy kill.

Not that Tahira wanted to make a killing blow here, disabling the fanatical sisters from fighting further was fine but she would prefer they live and be given a chance to understand and repent for their errors. Still, if it came down to them or her she would do what was needed to survive.

Maya post 12

Wanting to embrace Shukri before he had the chance to leave but her own duties needed to be tended too. Sisters around her would need guidance on how to fight back and defend themselves. And now wasn't really the time to be so relaxed. "Thank you Shukri, I know if anyone can find her it would be you. I've searched everywhere I am permitted so she must be behind the blockade. That's all I can guess."

Pulling herself onto her Janarim Maya scoured the crowd. Her antenna twitched as she sensed the vibrations in the earth. They were slowing down, and tension was rising rapidly. Squeezing her thighs together as she directed Maw where to go Maya's eyes moved towards the front of the line. There was a very tiny gap between what looked like Rishima and the mystic Aselia. Worse yet the Matron seemed even more dead set on getting through. Why? Didn't concurring and driving fear into people require war? Yet in a way she was asking them to get out of her way and allow them through. That didn't seem like a proper domination. Shaking her head her eyes shifted about the crowd. The least she could do was gather some of the archers they would need distance, it would only make sense that those with the blades were first in line. They were training for close combat, even those with spears would prove viable in the setting.

"I don't think this talk is going well at all! Sisters, brace yourselves. Steal your hearts now against what has to be done. It's for our own good, you can't hesitate when it comes to defending these earthlings. Even if they are our sisters, even if it is our Mystic and Matron. But I think we can do this without causing them too many injuries, they are our sisters. It's our duty we will keep them back. Try to do what you can to subdue them without killing them." Maya shouted out into the mass of Alkidike around her. "Archers I know you have little advantage points here to aim but distance is still your greatest ally try to use it. We are fortunate to have half sisters and brothers with us who are strong! Some even know magic. If you healers can spread yourselves over the field as well as near the healing tents I'm sure we can avoid heavy casualties."

Staring at the matron and Aselia, Maya ground her teeth. Aselia didn't seem to be responding positively to Rishima. Her eyes narrowed on the girl. What exactly was she thinking. Knowing the Matron she would have nothing to hear from the earthling leader who had come forward. Clearly none of the leaders were even willing to talk to anyone who wasn't in charge. "Mages, please start casting support magic now. Cover as wide an area as you can to get as many of us as possible. Riders we will take up the very front of the lines. We will remove the shock factor that our sisters will have with their own mounts! Do not fear them! We are an organized team we fight from the heart. They fight out of hate!"

Shalvesta: Post 8
There was a moment's hesitation, of uncertainty when it came to trusting her back to someone not of her blood, but simply reflecting on how little she trusted other Obans solved that for her. If she didn't extend some measure of trust to anyone, then she wouldn't have eyes on her back, making sure she wasn't struck down by an Alkidike. And if there was anything her teacher ever taught her, it was the importance of trusting your fellow soldiers.

So, Shalvesta nodded. The orders shooting around were for bowmen to remain in the rear, with swordsman up ahead, however, so she felt promising to sit by may be hasty. "Shalvesta. And... I'll go where our leaders direct me - but I'll do what I can to keep an eye out for you." She smiled stiffly, nodding her head. Final preparations were underway to get the troops assembled, but she had a feeling chaos would ensue shortly. She took a deep breath, and released it - doing what she could to steel herself.

Lumikani Post 12
Alkidike Extremist Camp

Lumikani had her eyes set on the Alkidike camp across from her, still reeling with the thought of so many sisters standing against them. What was going on? How could they just turn against the ways of the sisterhood and the mystics to take up a cause for such...weaklings? These Earthlings refused Aisha's embrace, therefore they deserved no protection. If they followed Aisha, they would be fine.

With that thought in mind, Lumikani suddenly felt herself go faint.

"Do these sisters we stand against...have they forsaken Aisha like the Earthlings they choose to protect?" Her voice was strong, and she directed it to the sisters around her.

It had to be the case. Their mystic was on this side, Aisha had not spoken against this action, therefore she must have seen it as just. If the sisters, who are old enough to make such choices, choose to turn against Aselia, the matron, and Aisha.

Lumikani felt her face sent in a dark scowl as she heard Maya shout out from across the distance, although her words were unclear. What was clear was that the woman was speaking for her sisters to strengthen and prepare for battle.

"How dare they think to rally against us. It is a clear declaration of their hatred for us...they have chosen the Earthlings over Aisha!"

Teiluj post 8

Teiluj tensed at the energy in the air. At the way the mood shifted so quickly from the quickly moving vibrations to a still one. It was like the calm before a coming storm "It's nice." Teiluj muttered quietly without thinking as she relaxed against the sensation of Nkoles fingers in her hair. Twitching at the vibrations she was able to pick up as they approached her tent. Opening her eyes and turning to face the girl who was speaking her face lit up into several shades of red. She hadn't expected people to come this close to her tent, yellow eyes rose to scan over the girl as she leaned into the tent. Opening and closing her mouth several times, Teiluj was reluctant to pull away from Nkole.

Moving tentatively towards the mottled leaf girl Teiluj nodded her head slowly as she walked up behind her. It would make sense for a healer to be inside the tent given her. But she had emerged briefly wanting to check on others before returning. "I.... I C-c-cou-could always... u-use a l-l-l-little m-more help." Teiluj stuttered her face grew brighter with her frustrations. She was always so anxious when meeting pureblood earthlings that a stutter always seemed to creep in. Until she knew them well enough, like in Nkoles case or her mothers were she was so comfortable with their presence she didn't need to worry about the anxiety and so her stuttering rarely surfaced.

"H-h-here if you w-want to help me..." Teiluj paused to walk past the girl into the tent. "D-do you know h-h-h-how to w-wrap bandages?" It was something she would need help with for sure. She wouldn't be able to heal everyone on a large scale, just one on one and if bleeding was occurring she would need help stopping the bleeding. If not just slowing it down until she could focus on them.
