Fighting in the new armor should have felt kind of awkward, but instead it felt natural, like he'd done it before. He felt empowered and rushed forward to attack the figure. It wasn't normal, suddenly appearing in new clothes and why was there a knight here and. "WHEN IS STUFF GOING TO MAKE SENSE? WHERE IS THE PIZZA?" The cards in his hand felt like an extension of himself, moving them back and forth and at the attacker, it was a spray of cards and knives. Robert was red in the face. "-AND I THINK THERE WAS ********' PEPPERONI AND DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG ITS BEEN SINCE I'VE ********'- HAD- PEPPERONI-" He slammed his weapon down on the 'true king' over and over, punctuating each word. He felt his energy drain, and fell back, wiping his brow to keep the sweat out of his eyes. And then he saw her. "Jesus-" Robert held his weapon very firmly in front of his pants. "Simmy? Simmy? What'd you - how did you - where did you get those - " Words were hard. Well, words were normally hard for him. Now, they were impossible. "Come here." Was there a fight going on? He couldn't actually remember. He wrapped his arms around her in lieu of protecting her, and kept a firm hold on her. He remembered this. Remembered holding her. Remembered keeping her safe. This felt right. This was what he was born to do. He'd made a promise. He kissed her forehead, just as he had that night, on that cot beside her.
