Saddlebags over her shoulder, backpack on her back, her jacket draped over one arm, blades strapped all over her body, and a bird flying above... Alexiel looked like she was ready for anything but a prom. However, for a moment, she allowed herself to smirk. "Only if you want me to be, sweetie." She batted her eyelashes at Vahn in a very uncharacteristic, girl like manner.

"Huh...wh..OAH!"

Athan was standing up, attempting to settle his positioning on the bird when it suddenly took off. Athan attempted to regain his balance, although he only ended up overcorrecting himself. When the bird flapped its wings again, he fell flat on his a** and rolled backwards. A handful of feathers kept him from flying off the back end of the bird.

Next thing he knew he was scrambling back up the length of the bird to the other two that were situated there before they really got airborne.

"Right then. For the time being, the armored car will probably be our best bet. You may remember those from the last time we met up? The underground base fiasco? I left one at the military housing in Durem. We better rush on over and get it, because that beeyotch is chock full of supplies, ammo, and will protect us the best out of anything.... aside from military-grade stuff. Joseph doesn't let me take that stuff out of A~E too often though."

Charles went back to the minivan, started it up, and drove it over to Allen. "You coming with me?"

With one swift step to the left, the mantle was placed on, locking gingerely about his neck. the material reached all the way down to where his ankles ended, covering his entire body pretty nicely.

Taking another deep breath, he lurched forward, hands by his side yet spread apart, as if they were spinning unseen objects in their grasp.

"Let's rock, baby."

With that, he strutted forward, walking into the vastness that was the void.

Unsure of what awaited him... but moving forward regardless.

"Wah- wah..." Kit put his arms around the man in front of him, he seemed to have a lot more experience then he did.

"Wahoooo!!!!" he yelled, looking down on the land below. He's never been flying inside a human body before, but it felt amazing, even better than flying as a spirit.

Alexiel and Dae followed behind Vahn. She was quite satsified with allowing him to lead the dance, so to speak.

Allen simply climbed into the van as a reply, as he finished with making his new sword sheathe. It was time to go kick some a**.

(Short. But I'm pissed. And not thinking well. So screw you, if you feel like complaining.)

Charles nodded, shifting the van into drive. As he did, Stryphe got himself into the van. Along with the milk maids. This was proving to be an interesting group: the remnant of the Black Dragon Syndicate plus saucy women. Chaos truly was a comical bloke.

And so the van was off to Durem.

Hmmz, what a predicament our great hero had gotten himself into. He'd tried to pay attention, but the greater complexities of this contest eluded him, as he'd also tried to get all the tobacco off the crystal floor and into his cigarette after it had fallen apart. One thing did catch his eye however, a freakishly familiar indigo apparition, looking rather handsome and dashing and koul and amazing and fantastic. He had to admit that this new challenger looked to be a proper sort of rival for our champion of champions, our stone king of kings.

But. "s**t wait, that's me."

Making a swift mental note to laugh desperately after all this was over, he gripped that fancy new shield (which glowed no longer), and watched the temple disappear before his feet, 'Viceroy' and his mysterious companions along with it. Grumbling, he tossed the mess of paper, filter and dried grass that used to be a smoke, and, finding everyone (friends, allies or otherwise) to be preoccupied, turned and headed towards his car, whistling a tune as it came to his head.

The shield was wedged underneath the backseat, parallel the duffelbag full of money before his backpack was pulled out from the back floor, and lain gently atop the passenger seat, zippered opening facing him. Those baseball bats were pulled out of the duffel, and bloody well thrown aside, proving themselves to be useless baggage in this adventure. The trunk was checked, basses, tooth, cloak and amplifier proving themselves to be in perfect shape and working order, while the Wu-Tang sword remained hidden underneath the passenger seat.

Tugging 'gainst the bottom rim of his new, flexible metal 'fighter's gauntlet' (which his brown leather bracelet rubbed against occasionally), he quickly popped open the glovebox, finding his watch to be okay, and his wallet soon inserted inside. Keys entered keyhole, were turned and the muscle car roared to life, stereo conviently finding its own way to the connected iPod's existence, and randomly selecting a most appropriate 'it's the end of the world but Shouyin is really badass and is about to drive off into the middle of nowhere without actually knowing where to go but with the sting of ultra-violence drilling his bones he'll probably be okay' kind of song.

And as the sun goes down I'll say:

"It's a good day to die, it's a good day to die."

"Hey."

He followed Shouyin away, and wo the guy's car. Lazenca was like Shou in that he tried his darnest to pay attention but for one reason or another, things excaped his grasp. He did understand that this wasn't over, not at all.

"Would you be against having someone riding shotgun with you? If not, it's fine." Lazenca gave a small shrug, readjusting that present box. Seriously, it was fine- he'd just go marathon running again until someone or something glowing made him stop.

"Oh yeah, sure." Shou had to raise his voice slightly over the din of his anthem, but it was no trouble placing the backpack in the backseat, and popping open the side door for Laz to enter in. Stretching out his back a tad and then pulling off the gauntlet (which was simply tucked in behind the cupholders), he cracked the fingers of his left hand, and kicked it into gear.

Shove a 'oh and he's riding with a werewolf which is pretty boss' into the previous song description.

Oh yeah.

"Thank you." His entrance into the car was nothing spectacular, and warrants no playing. Buckle'd up, and ready to roll out.

Void it is, then.

The memories were settling now. Owle vaguely noticed Flare leaving with the other would be heroes...or rather, she vaguely noticed that Flare left. Oh, some weird stuff was happening, and there were some pretty lights and dramatic speeches, but none of it could detract her attention away from the things that had been flooding into her head, from the attention she was forced to pay the unsealed memories.

And now...what was she doing now?

Isoho, Alci, Avra, Anne, Lauren...everyone Owle had ever been seemed to swirl around inside her, confusing her, distracting her. They had happened, yes...but there was Rage, in front of her. There was Flare, apologizing, muttering something about stupid chaos trying to destroy the world again and leaving. And there was...

"Oneirosmorpheusrafe?" Her voice would sound in his head, the word she spoke sounding like she had said every one of his names at once, each one laid on top of the other and melting into nonsense.

"Rafe," she affirmed out loud, to herself. This...this was all she had ever wanted. This life. The only thing she had ever regretted leaving behind in the immortal realm was standing right in front of her. This was the life she had chosen, and this was the life she would keep. He was Rafe. She was Owle. Whatever they would be or had been...

She got to her feet as her mind slowly worked at patting the memories down, sinking them back into their rightful places as long ago. They would no longer drown her...they would simply be there. Owle stood, finally, and looked out...

Only to find herself back on her knees, vomitting at the sight of Sejai's blood.

It had been bad enough before. And now she was Owle's daughter. And Rafe...

Once no more of the steak on a stick remained within her stomach, Owle raised her eyes to Rafe once more.

"I don't hate you."

He leaned down and created a hankerchief from nothing as he cleaned her lips. "For that I am grateful chere." He pressed a finger to her nose. "But it's not over..." His eyes were sad and wistful.

"It's always been worth it."

She didn't hate him, but she couldn't say what she did feel about him.

"Not for me."

She stood up again, and gestured limply at the pool of blood around the temple. "Please tell me it wasn't for me. Her death. Not just for me. Please."
