Rosa looked over to Tala hearing him and nodded softly. "Yes but I'm not sure what that was. Was that thunder or what was it? There's no storm clouds in the sky. You okay as well?" She asked worried, looking him over before looking to Meta who was still on edge and alert, looking around, keeping its body strong to be intimidating with its mane and tail still ready to attack with. Rosa watched Meta then looked to Tala with nervous eyes, her body at times trembling, worried it was Sion the Demon King.
"Do you think it was the Demon King?" She asked worried, rubbing her arms nervous and trying to make the chills she felt to go away, her voice a soft whisper as she worried that someone might be spying on them after that random loud boom.

"I can't say for sure..." Tala shook his head, having not witnessed thunder without clouds or lightning before... "But we shouldn't let it bother us...just yet."He held up the rabbit and two fish he'd managed to catch, "It's not much, but it will help." He sat down and proceeded to cut and clean the parts they would eat, giving Rosa the good cuts to set around the fire before rising to his feet and leaving the cave to offer Meta the bits they wouldn't. Seeing the Horzun was still on edge, he whistled quietly to attract its attention before setting it down as it came over. He recalled hearing it could easily take off your hand and so decided it would be best to leave the remnants on the ground. "Settle down beastie..." he said quietly...

Meta would look to Tala, catching the sound of the quiet whistle and moved over, starting to eat the meat remains they did not want, its eyes looking around as it ate quietly, body still tense. People did say animals had a keener sense of danger than humans but hard to tell since it couldn't speak verbally. Rosa got the meat given to her set up by the fire to cook, set so it wasn't too far but not too close to the flames, making sure the fire was well stocked to not go out on them.
She looked to Tala watching this and nodded softly. "I hope you're right. I feel worried about this." She said softly, trying to calm down as she stayed near the fire watching Tala then turning her eyes to the fire, listening to it crackle.

((up to you what happens)) wink Tala petted Meta's nose before returning to the fire, it was starting to get much darker now and he knew from experience the firelight would keep the predators away...mostly... He sat down to eat his share of the cooked meat once it was done, staring silently into the fire, almost mesmerized, before prodding it occasionally to wake the covered embers. "I'm gonna get some sleep..." he said after a while, setting the stick down before retiring to the back of the cave...

(okay hmmm -thinks-)
Rosa looked from the fire to him nodding softly. "Okay, I'll stay up on watch." She said gently before picking up the prodding stick and prodded the fire again to help the embers be active. She listened to the fire, looking to Meta who was now standing, looking around to keep watch. Her eyes would start to close as the hours went on but she struggled to keep them open. The night continued on slowly, Meta had laid down but kept alert, still on edge.
The wind blew softly, the fire started to lower when Rosa opened her eyes again and quickly she prodded it and fed it and it blazed back up. Looking out though she hesitated, her body nervous as Meta had lifted up and was tensed, snorting and stomped his hoofs in the ground, digging at it as a warning, staring now off to one direction now to the forest. Slowly Rosa stood, staring and rubbed her arms before turning to Tala about to speak before freezing when she felt long nails on her skin around her neck. "Now now dear, let him sleep." A voice whispered softly to her in her ear. Rosa gulped trembling.
"No.....can't be....." Rosa whispered scared as the chuckle was soft in her ear. Meta nayed moving fast over to Rosa and the Demon King, whining loudly as it charged and swung its tail, the barbs hitting the Demon King who yelled letting go of Rosa who ran over to Tala. "Tala! He found us!" She cried out to him. The man fell back some growling and by the time Tala would get up the Demon King in the firelight would change to another form of another person who still glared as Meta kept up his attack on this being who could change shape at will.

((tiz your RP - I didn't wanna go taking over lol*)) xp ((Gotta disappear for food now)) sad Tala snapped awake as he heard Meta's cry, rising to his feet as Rosa rushed to his side... "Keep away from the flames!" Tala barked out his order, rushing forward before snatching up the water pouch which he had left by the side of the cave wall... Wasting little time he emptied the water over the fire, dousing its light before kicking dirt over the sodden embers... The cave was plunged into darkness, but he could see Rosa and approached her swiftly... "If you're correct and he has found us, then we need to move. Now." he released her and moved to gather up their items before calming Meta and turning back to face her, recalling the vision had changed before he'd doused it... "Even if it wasn't him...we can't stay here..." he realised she can't have rested much and offered to keep her safe whilst they travelled to another location...

(np ^^ -hugs-)
Rosa screamed and looked towards where Tala came from to her, taking hold of his hand she moved with him over to Meta, not able to see well in the dark. Meta rushed and attacked the being before it moved to Tala, snorting and stomping one of its feet as the thing ran away in fear and to heal its wounds from the Horzun. Meta looked to Tala and moved over closer, kneeling down so Rosa could get on with Tala's guidance. When on she stayed put and when Tala would mount she would wrap her arms around him, resting her head against his back and instantly fell asleep, enjoying the warmth she got from his body.
Meta stood tall, looking around and let out a loud warning whining nay to the air, rearing back carefully as it kicked the air with its front legs then stomped down hard to deliver it's warning to other beasts to stay away before it began to run, going slow then speeding up so not to knock Rosa or Tala off when he'd give the go ahead. Rosa held onto Tala, fast asleep lost within dreams of happiness in the snow mixed with the greenery she'd seen since leaving the Ice Land. In her dreams also were Tala and the red mage she had met, all smiling having a good time in the snow mixed with green grass and colorful flowers.
The Horzun would run onwards, heading on down the path Tala would direct it down, when up to speed would hold that speed, not slowing down but also making sure neither would fall off as it ran with their bags and them on its back.

emotion_hug Tala pushed Rosa towards Meta, helping her get on before mounting the beast himself. Although the creature seemed to have disappeared, he didn't want to take the chance and sent the Horzun off at a swift pace, forgetting about Rosa's arms being tightly wrapped around him as they sped off. Tala hadn't rested much before the incident happened, but forced himself to remain awake until he was sure they were far enough away to slow down... Then, reaching down to one of the packs, hanging on the side of Meta's flank, he pulled out the map and compass, trying to gauge their positioning in the landscape in order to get some idea as to where they were travelling... Rosa still seemed to be sleeping, so he laid the map out across the back of Meta's neck, checking it against the mountain range around them...

Rosa was indeed asleep, not aware of what was around them. Meta slowed when it was safe, staying steady so Tala could read the map, looking around to keep an eye out for any enemies. On the map would show they were some miles away from a clearing with a lake labeled as a pure water lake. Onwards was a mark for a town but it was about a couple or so hours away and around were marked as small villages but they weren't marked to be friendly or unfriendly.
Meta continued to walk slowly, waiting for directions on to keep going straight turn or where Tala wanted as the Horzun sniffed the air. It's nostrils caught the scent of water and it began to head in the direction of the lake, not waiting on directions anymore from Tala, still moving slow but was following his smell to the water, feeling thirsty and the water smelled very good.

Tala wasn't paying much attention to his direction until Meta suddenly turned towards water - The compass had swivelled drastically which had allowed him to realise they'd turned... Lifting his head, Tala felt it was best to find out where Meta was heading first, looking ahead of them his eyes spotted the lake, then as they drew closer, he quickly noticed a little cabin... Glancing back to Rosa, he put the map away before allowing Meta to speed up. Maybe they would find shelter...the lake would no doubt have fish or something they could catch to eat as well.

Meta walked into the clearing, moving over to the water and stopped at the lake, bending its head down and began to drink happily to have the taste of water. Some steps from the lake was a cabin, no lights on inside though. Rosa would softly moan, slowly opening her eyes yawning an looked around sleepily, not awake enough to fully grasp and remember where they were now. "hey why we stop? where are we?" Rosa asked softly, her eyes starting to close again as she began to drift back to sleep. Meta's mane and tail had become soft, showing he was relaxed and didn't feel any danger at the current time as it stood.
The sky was still dark but in places began to have a soft light showing, indicating it was nearing the dawn hours. When done drinking the Horzun moved over to the cabin and would stop near the door, kneeling down for them, looking around to be sure it was safe before slowly closing its eyes and began to catch some winks. Rosa slowly moved to get off Meta when she'd feel Tala get off she'd move with him, stumbling as she began to drift off to sleep again, her body almost like jello in her tired state, almost like someone who was drunk and coming in and out of consciousness.

Tala half-led, half-carried Rosa towards the cabin, careful to make sure she didn't fall and hurt herself... He knocked once, twice...then once again, but gained no answer... Carefully he tested the handle on the door, pushing it open before wincing as it squeaked - as though rusted... "Hello?" He glanced around the darkened cabin, seeing not a soul... "Anybody home?" He'd happened across a few cabins back in Sune when he was growing up, they were nearly always abandoned - people may very well have lived there in the past, but when the forest took over, the inhabitants almost always moved away... He stepped inside, spotting a couch upon which he left Rosa to lie down and continue sleeping... The next important thing would be to find food and then wake a fire... He headed outside and set up a few lures beside the water, making sure to tether Meta up before taking a look around...

As more light would start to seep into the sky it could be seen the grass was oddly not as tall as wild grass normally would get, appearing as if well kept so it was only coming up to the ankles. In places wild flowers dotted the clearing with yellow daisies. The water was a pristine clear, showing fish were in deed swimming around in the water under the surface. When slowly more light would come the cabin seemed to show some age with repairs done to it over the years. The wind blew softly, being soft and gentle. By the house close to it in an area where to keep wood dry from the elements would be a wood storage that held about twenty logs inside it, already chopped and split for a fire. Meta got comfortable, going to be guarding the door as he slept but as before its ears stayed alert.
Birds would softly tweet and chirp from the trees, giving sound and life to the clearing as dawn kept creeping up over the horizon of trees. If Tala would go to look around the cabin there would be an inscription worn down by the weather and years making the carving in the cabin hard to read but seemed to be a dedication to someone or a thank you to or from someone it would be hard to tell but in about the same area would be a heart carved into the wood and two names inside it but as before was hard to read. One name was not readable but the other was Viana as it appeared to be if examined enough. There would be a flower garden of yellow and pink daisies along with some roses of starlight blue, even having specks of white that seemed to twinkle like stars and some red and yellow roses as well mixed in with black roses as well.
If looked at and seen it could be seen the rare starlight blue and black roses. They were rare because so many had been picking them and not replanting them or if they did they did not have the right soil for them to grow properly. The same was with the black rose but also because some saw it as bad luck and would work on making sure it was nowhere near them. Somehow someone had gotten both to grow in the clearing behind the cabin and they were thriving, appearing very beautiful in the small flower garden.

Tala did indeed explore the exterior of the cabin, spotting the carved words, he knelt down, tracing his fingers across the wood before reaching into the pouch on his belt... Caran had taught him that it was important to respect what could be the graves of others, so he picked out a small animal carving he'd made in his free time and set it down amongst the flowers... He had no idea who Viana was, but if the house was hers, or perhaps dedicated to her, then that was who it was for. Bowing his head, to the carving, he rose to his feet, his intention to wander back and check the lures...

Birds chirped more, a couple flying over and landing, watching him with curiosity to what he was doing. Meta slept soundly as the sun continued to rise. The lures did catch several fish for them both and be some for Meta as well. When the sun would be more up to light more of the sky a soft gentle clear blue Meta would open his eyes, looking up as the Horzun rose its head and looked to Tala watching him silently, its body relaxed and calm.
When sunlight filtered into the home through the windows lightly covered in dust could be seen a fireplace that appeared to not have been cleaned out in some time. On the mantle were old photos in beautifully crafted picture frames of a woman and man looking deeply in love. By the pictures would be a box of matches for the fireplace with a metal poker and another tool for scooping around the ashes and embers. The wooden floor looked lovely under the coating of dust and age to it with a lovely small round table in the center by the fireplace, looking out towards the flower garden where the starlight roses were beginning to close for some rest and to absorb energy from the sun till they would open once more during the night to give off their beauty of the sky on the ground. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items as well with a stove that also used wood for fuel, the water also worked inside the cabin as would be noticed if the faucet were to be turned on.
